  • A ring R is called symmetric, if abc = 0 implies acb = 0 for a, b, c ${\in}$ R. An ideal I of a ring R is called symmetric (resp. radically-symmetric) if R=I (resp. R/$\sqrt{I}$) is a symmetric ring. We first show that symmetric ideals and ideals which have the insertion of factors property are radically-symmetric. We next show that if R is a semicommutative ring, then $T_n$(R) and R[x]=($x^n$) are radically-symmetric, where ($x^n$) is the ideal of R[x] generated by $x^n$. Also we give some examples of radically-symmetric ideals which are not symmetric. Connections between symmetric ideals of R and related ideals of some ring extensions are also shown. In particular we show that if R is a symmetric (or semicommutative) (${\alpha}$, ${\delta}$)-compatible ring, then R[x; ${\alpha}$, ${\delta}$] is a radically-symmetric ring. As a corollary we obtain a generalization of [13].

  • Let m ∈ ℕ0, p > 1 and $${\alpha}^{[m,p]}(x)\;:\;{\sqrt{x}},\;\{{\sqrt{\frac{(m+n-1)p-(m+n-2)}{(m+n)p-(m+n-1)}}}\}^{\infty}_{n=1}$$. In this paper, we consider the backward extensions of Bergman-type weighted shift Wα[m,p](x). We consider its subnormality, k-hyponormality and positive quadratic hyponormality. Our results include all the results on Bergman weighted shift Wα(x) with m ∈ ℕ and $${\alpha}(x)\;:\;{\sqrt{x}},\;{\sqrt{\frac{m}{m+1}},\;{\sqrt{\frac{m}{m+2}},\;{\sqrt{\frac{m+2}{m+3}},{\cdots}$$.

  • Let R ⊂ S be a Frobenius extension of rings and M a left S-module and let 𝓧 be a class of left R-modules and 𝒚 a class of left S-modules. Under some conditions it is proven that M is a 𝒚-Gorenstein left S-module if and only if M is an 𝓧-Gorenstein left R-module if and only if S ⊗R M and HomR(S, M) are 𝒚-Gorenstein left S-modules. This statement extends a known corresponding result. In addition, the situations of Ding modules, Gorenstein AC modules and projectively coresolved Gorenstein flat modules are considered under Frobenius extensions.

  • Let p be an odd prime. Let E be an elliptic curve defined over a quadratic imaginary field, where p splits completely. Suppose E has supersingular reduction at primes above p. Under appropriate hypotheses, we extend the results of [17] to ℤ2p-extensions. We define and study the fine double-signed residual Selmer groups in these settings. We prove that for two residually isomorphic elliptic curves, the vanishing of the signed 𝜇-invariants of one elliptic curve implies the vanishing of the signed 𝜇-invariants of the other. Finally, we show that the Pontryagin dual of the Selmer group and the double-signed Selmer groups have no non-trivial pseudo-null submodules for these extensions.

  • A fast and robust method of grid generation to multiple functions has been developed for flow analysis in three dimensional space. It is based on the Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline of an approximation method. The grid generation method, details of numerical implementation. examples of application, and potential extensions of the current method are illustrated in this paper.

  • Let (A, M) ⊂ (B, N) be commutative quasi-local rings. We consider the property that there exists a ring D such that A ⊆ D ⊂ B and the extension D ⊂ B is inert. Examples show that the number of such D may be any non-negative integer or infinite. The existence of such D does not imply M ⊆ N. Suppose henceforth that M ⊆ N. If the field extension A/M ⊆ B/N is algebraic, the existence of such D does not imply that B is integral over A (except when B has Krull dimension 0). If A/M ⊆ B/N is a minimal field extension, there exists a unique such D, necessarily given by D = A + N (but it need not be the case that N = MB). The converse fails, even if M = N and B/M is a finite field.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the finite extension of weighted word L-delta groups. The paper revealed that a finite extension of a weighted word L-delta group is a weighted word L-delta group, and an abelian group, in addition, is a weighted word L-delta group and simultaneously a word L-delta group.

  • A ring R has weakly stable range one provided that aR+bR=R implies that there exists a $y{\in}R$ such that $a+by{\in}R$ is right or left invertible. We prove, in this paper, that every regular element in an exchange ring having weakly stable range one is the sum of an idempotent and a weak unit. This generalize the corresponding result of one-sided unit-regular ring. Extensions of power comparability and power cancellation are also studied.
