The purpose of this study is to investigate the trend of the familism and the awareness of parent-supporting, showing how personal background variables affect the familism and how the familism affect the awareness of parent-supporting, The data were collected from May 20, 1998 till June 5, 1998 for 621 college students consisted of 300 male strdents and 321 female students. SOSS-PC was used for data analysis, and the data were tested by ANOVA, t-Test, Pearson's Correlation, Multiple Regression Analysis, and Duncan Test. The major findings are as follows: 1) The college students' familism generally tends to show low scores (M=2.79), indicating the modern familism-individualism. 2) The college students' awareness of parent-supporting is reported to be high(M=4.23); the highest awareness of parent-supporting is financial supporting, the next is service supporting, then emotinal supporting. 3) For personal background variables, male students rather than female students, the students who have parents with more monthly income, and those who have experience in living with grandparents tend to have more traditional familism. 4) Older students, the students with more traditional familism, those who find more satisfaction in family relations, and male students rather than female students tend to show higher awareness of parent-supporting. 5) In causal relations among the personal background variables, the familism, the awareness of parent-supporting, the variables with a significant impact on the familism are gender, parents' monthly income, and experience in living with grandparents, in order of impact. Age, the familism, satisfaction in family relations, and gender, in order of impact, affect the awareness of parent-supporting. Especially, the familism has the highest correlations with the awareness of financial, emotional, and service supporting, and shows considerable causal impact on the awareness of parent-supporting in general. That is to say, the more the familism, the more the awareness of the parent-supporting.

Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the relationship of aging knowledge, attitudes and awareness about supporting the aged in undergraduate students. Method: The participants were 385 undergraduate students in H University in G city. Data were collected from March 1 to April 30, 2012, and analyzed using SPSS/WIN 18.0. Results: The mean of the aging knowledge score was 51.40, the mean of aging attitudes score was 3.06, and the mean of awareness about supporting the aged score was 4.11. Awareness about supporting the aged showed a positive correlation with aging knowledge (r=.299, p<.001). Awareness about supporting the aged showed a positive correlation with aging attitudes (r=.244, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate a need to develop programs for undergraduate students to increase correct aging knowledge, to encourage appropriate aging attitudes and awareness about supporting the aged. In addition, the need for further studies to examine effects of programs are needed.

Purpose: This study was conducted to research the supporting behavior and various-correlations in nursing students and their parents. Method: The research design was a descriptive survey. Data was collected from 320 nursing students and parents from May to Aug. 2007. Result: The relationship among supporting behavior of parents, filial piety awareness, and awareness of parents' support was high. As the above variables were high for the parents, they were also high for nursing students. The awareness of parents' support parents' supporting behavior, and filial piety awareness of students explained the supporting behavior of 28.1% of nursing students. In addition, the awareness of parents' support was the most influential variable. Conclusion: It is essential to devise educational strategies for nursing students to experience supporting behavior and to become aware of parents' support.

In our society the value system has changed to individualized one, so that the awareness of supporting the elderly is changing now. This study aims to provide basic materials for the welfare policy for the elderly and to foresee the probability of maintenance and development that the most ideal system of supporting the elderly by analyzing the male and female students' attitude toward the elderly and the degree of their awareness of supporting the elderly according to several factors. A questionnaire was developed with this purpose, the study subjects of this study were 365 college students who were recruited from 6 colleges(179 male students and 186 female students) living in Pusan, and the study period was from November 9. to November 23. 1992. The results were as follows: 1. In the factors related to attitude toward the elderly, male students had more positive attitude than female students toward the desire of living with their parents in the future(P=0.000). 2. In the expectant awareness of being supported by their offsprings and the desire of living together with their offsprings male students were more highly than female students(P=0.000). 3. The subjects who want to live together with their parents in the future desired more to live with their offsprings in the period of old age(P=0.000). 4. As results of hypotheses verification about the awareness of supporting the elderly, there were significant differences according to the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in law(P=0.001), the receptive attitude toward the elderly(P=0.000) and the desire of living with their parents in the future(P=0.000) 5. In the correlations between all variables and the awareness of supporting the elderly, the economical and emotional awareness of supporting the elderly had positive correlations with the relationship between mother in-law and daughter-in-law and their parents' filial piety to grandparents(P＜0.01), and service awareness of supporting the elderly had positive correlations with age, sex, the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law and their parents' filial piety to grandparents(P＜0.01). In the correlations between each of the awareness of supporting the elderly, the correlations between each one had high positive correlations(P＜0.001).

This study was to investigate the supporting awareness and empathy with the dental hygiene student. The participants were 193 dental hygiene students in Gwang Ju city and analyzed by the frequency analyzed, t-test, ANOVA, pearson corelation coefficients and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS STATICS 20.0. Supporting awareness and empathy about the elderly had a significant positive correlation. Factors influencing empathy were interest of elderly problem and supporting awareness. It is necessary to the establishment of a subject and education program about elderly in dental hygiene students.

The purpose of this study is to explore Women University students' supporting awareness, knowledge and attitude toward the elderly. After obtaining the participants' consent form, survey was performed with structured questionnaire about characteristics, supporting awareness, knowledge and attitude toward the elderly. Collected data were analyzed with SPSS 13.0 program, which was used for frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficients. The result of this study were as follows. 1) Supporting awareness of participants was 115.50±13.19. Participants' knowledge was 10.21±2.90 and attitude was 84.19±12.19. 2) More knowledge and more positive attitude toward elderly were significant related to higher supporting awareness. 3) Supporting awareness of participants was significantly different by religion, monthly pocket money, religious service, supporting parents in the future, living with parents-in-law, though of ideal support system, father-grandmother(paternal) relationship, mother-grandfather(paternal) relationship, mother-grandmother(paternal) relationship and mother-grandfather(maternal). The finding of this study gives useful information for developing an educational management program for women.

This paper proposes a real-time 3D visualization system for situational awareness of Air force operations. This 3D system of situational awareness supports a high-level commander of Air force during the war game operations. These situation aware supporting data such as the aircraft track data of radar, aircraft schedule database, map and satellite image data are integrated into one structured data and those are visualized as 3D structure. By using an Out-of-Core method, we can visualize a 3D huge data in real-time in mobile notebook environment. The experiment shows several examples of 3D visualization supporting situation awareness for Air force operation.

The purpose of the study is to prospect the application of knowledge awareness system in the use of the digital textbook which is one of the main educational political projects based on the exploration of the awareness theory for the computer-supported collaborative learning. To do this, first, knowledge awareness theory for computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) as a rationale for digital textbook which supports the collaborative learning was introduced. Second, three functionalities of knowledge awareness systems were extracted by analyzing the representative knowledge awareness tools of CSCL environment. Third, application prospects of knowledge awareness system toward the development and utilization of digital textbook were presented. The paper suggested the need of more researches such as the prototype development of digital textbook which applies the knowledge awareness system's functionalities and empirical researches which examine their effectiveness and efficiency.

Adaptive services need to become as mobile as their users and be extended to take advantage of the constantly changing context in which they are accessed. Context-awareness is a technology to facilitate information acquisition and execution by supporting interoperability between users and devices based on users' context. The objective of this study is to develop a middleware fer dealing with context-awareness in ubiquitous computing. To achieve it, our middleware plays an important role in recognizing a moving node with mobility by using a bluetooth wireless communication technology as well as in executing an appropriate execution module according to the context acquired from a context server. In addition, for verifying the usefulness of the Proposed middleware, we develop an application system which Provides a music playing service based on context information by using our context middleware.

Purpose: This study explores the factors affecting purchase intention of smartphones among millennials. The study incorporates factors of brand equity, specifically brand awareness, brand loyalty, perceived quality and their mediation effect in purchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology: This study evaluates the role of brand equity factors in influencing purchase intentions by using structural equation modeling to analyze 197 respondents. Results: The findings indicate that brand loyalty, followed by brand awareness, and perceived quality are significant factors in determining customer purchase intention. Further, brand loyalty mediates the relationship between perceived quality and purchase intention, as well as between brand awareness and purchase intention significantly. Additionally, perceived quality mediates the relationship between brand awareness and purchase intention significantly. Finally, the serial mediation of perceived quality and brand loyalty significantly affects the relationship between brand awareness and purchase intention. Conclusions: This research has provided valuable insights into the relationship between brand equity and purchase intention among millennials supporting the Aaker's Model. Useful theoretical and managerial implications also have been provided.
