Input Voltage Range Extension Method for Half-Bridge LLC Converters by Using Magamp Auxiliary Post-Regulator

  • An improved half-bridge LLC converter with a magamp auxiliary post-regulator is proposed in this paper. The function of the magamp is bypassed when the converter works within the low input-voltage range. Meanwhile, it operates as an auxiliary post-regulator when the input voltage is high. By changing the blocking time of the magamp, the dc gain of the converter can be extended. Hence, the input voltage range of the converter is extended. The realization of proposed topology does not require a complicated circuit. The controller of the magamp can be easily implemented using only passive components, transistors and an OP amp. The generalized operational principle is analyzed and the design criterion for the magamp is presented. Finally, a 25V output, 400W experimental prototype was built and tested for a 160-300V input-voltage range to verify the feasibility of the proposed method.

청년기의 자아존중감, 우울과 자살생각과의 관계 - 전.의경을 대상으로 - (Relationships of Self-esteem, Depression, and Suicidal Ideation in Youths - Focus on Auxiliary Policemen -)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the degree and relationship between self-esteem, depression, and suicidal ideation of youths in the auxiliary police force. Method: This descriptive study was conducted using a structured questionnaire from February 1 to March 25, 2007. The participants were 180 youths from 19 to 25 years old (average 20.82 years old) who were auxiliary policemen. The data were analyzed using the SPSS Win 12.0 program. Results: Six of the auxiliary police (3.34%) reported critical scores in suicidal ideation. There was a significant difference in depression according to work area. Self-esteem showed a significant negative correlation with depression (r=-0.38, p<.001) and suicidal ideation (r=-0.39, p<.001). There was a positive correlation between depression and suicidal ideation(r=0.53, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings suggest that auxiliary policemen have higher levels of depression and suicidal ideation. Therefore, further study is needed to develop and examine nursing interventions the enhance self-esteem, so that depression and suicidal ideation can be minimized.

Design of Auxiliary Teeth on the Edge of Stationary Discontinuous Armature PM-LSM with Concentrated Winding

  • Recently, the stationary discontinuous armature, Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motor (PM-LSM), was suggested as a driving source for long-distance transportation system. However, as these motors arrange armatures discontinuously, an edge occurs thereby leading to a cogging force. This works as a factor that hinders the acceleration and deceleration that takes place when movers enter into and eject from armatures. Therefore, in this study, the installation of auxiliary teeth on the edge of the armature of PM-LSM is suggested in order to reduce the cogging force caused by the edge when the armature is placed in a discontinuous arrangement. Auxiliary teeth are optimally designed by a 2-D numerical analysis using the finite element method was performed to generate the optimum design of the auxiliary teeth. The validity of the study was confirmed through the comparison of the cogging force induced at the edge in respect to the design parameter using the basic model.

Effect of nano-carbon addition on color performance of polystyrene superstructure film

  • Polystyrene superstructure films show faint rainbow color, and this low color saturation limits its wide application. In this paper, polystyrene superstructure films with single bright blue color were prepared by vertical deposition self-assembly method using polystyrene microspheres with average diameter of $310{\pm}10nm$ as raw material. Polystyrene superstructure films were modified by adding nano-carbon powder, and effect of the amount of nano-carbon powde on color performance was studied. The results showed that without addition of nano-carbon powder, the superstructure films showed a faint rainbow color, while with addition of nano-carbon power, the superstructure films exhibited a single bright blue under the same natural light source. Changing the amount of nano-carbon powder addition could adjust color saturation of the film. With increasing the amount of nano-carbon powder addition from 0.008 wt% to 0.01 wt%, color saturation of the superstructure film increased gradually. Further increasing the amount of nano-carbon powder addition to 0.011wt%, color saturation of the superstructure film didn't increase anymore and tended to get dark.

보조 공동과 간극을 갖는 원통형 공동의 음향 전달 특성 (Acoustic Transmission Characteristics of the Cylindrical Cavity with an Auxiliary Cavity and a Gap)

  • 본 논문에서는 원통형 공동계의 음향 전달 특성에 대하여 이론적으로 검토한다. 원통형 공동계는 성덕대왕 신종의 음향 공동을 단순화시킨 모델로, 주 공동, 보조 공동 및 간극으로 구성되어 있다. 주 공동 내부에 점음원을 주고 내부 및 외부 음장에서의 주파수 응답 특성과 음향 모드를 구하였다. 그 결과는 SYSNOISE를 이용한 경계요소 해석결과와 비교하여 타당성을 확인하였다. 제안된 이론모델을 이용하여 간극과 보조 공동이 음향계의 공명 주파수와 음향 전달 특성에 미치는 영향을 규명하였다. 마지막으로 음원 주파수를 공동 내부에서 외부로 가장 잘 전달시키는 보조 공동과 간극의 조합을 결정하였다.

Single-Phase Improved Auxiliary Resonant Snubber Inverter that Reduces the Auxiliary Current and THD

  • An LC filter is required to reduce the output current ripple in the auxiliary resonant snubber inverter (ARSI) for high-performance applications. However, if the traditional control method is used in the ARSI with LC filter, then unnecessary current flows in the auxiliary circuit. In addressing this problem, a novel load-adaptive control that fully uses the filter inductor current ripple to realize the soft-switching of the main switches is proposed. Compared with the traditional control implemented in the ARSI with LC filter, the proposed control can reduce the required auxiliary current, contributing to higher efficiency and DC-link voltage utilization. In this study, the detailed circuit operation in the light load mode (LLM) and the heavy load mode (HLM) considering the inductor current ripple is described. The characteristics of the improved ARSI are expressed mathematically. A prototype with 200 kHz switching frequency, 80 V DC voltage, and 8 A maximum output current was developed to verify the effectiveness of the improved ARSI. The proposed ARSI was found to successfully operate in the LLM and HLM, achieving zero-voltage switching (ZVS) of the main switches and zero-current switching (ZCS) of the auxiliary switches from zero load to full load. The DC-link voltage utilization of the proposed control is 0.758, which is 0.022 higher than that of the traditional control. The peak efficiency is 91.75% at 8 A output current for the proposed control, higher than 89.73% for the traditional control. Meanwhile, the carrier harmonics is reduced from -44 dB to -66 dB through the addition of the LC filter.

보조접지그리드의 시설에 의한 대지표면전위경도의 저감 (Reduction of the the Ground Surface Potential Gradients by Installing Auxiliary Grounding Grids)

  • 본 논문에서는 효과적인 접지그리드 설치기법에 대하여 기술하였으며, 낙뢰나 지락고장서지, 개폐서지 등으로 부터 인체의 감전보호나 컴퓨터를 비롯한 전기·전자기기의 보호를 위한 접지그리드의 시설 및 배치방법에 따른 실험적인 평가를 수행하였다. 접지그리드의 배치에 따른 대지표면전위경도의 분석과 위험전압으로 작용하는 대지 표면전위상승의 억제에 주안점을 두고 실험용 모델접지전극을 시설한 후 임 펄스전류를 인가하였다. 기존의 등간격 접지그리드의 결점을 보완하기 위해 접지그리드에 경사를 가지는 보조접지그리드를 시설하였으며, 보조접지그리드를 시설한 접지시스템에서는 인체나 전기·전자기기에 위험전압으로 작용하는 대지표면전위경도를 최대 50%이상 완화시키는 효과를 얻었다.

  • In the present article, we construct the exact traveling wave solutions of nonlinear PDEs in the mathematical physics via the (1+1)-dimensional Boussinesq equation by using the following two methods: (i) A further improved ($\frac{G}{G}$) - expansion method, where $G=G({\xi})$ satisfies the auxiliary ordinary differential equation $[G^{\prime}({\xi})]^2=aG^2({\xi})+bG^4({\xi})+cG^6({\xi})$, where ${\xi}=x-Vt$ while $a$, $b$, $c$ and $V$ are constants. (ii) The well known extended tanh-function method. We show that some of the exact solutions obtained by these two methods are equivalent. Note that the first method (i) has not been used by anyone before which gives more exact solutions than the second method (ii).

Basic study on correction method of measured earthing resistance by 4-potential method

  • The full of potential method is generally used for measuring the earthing-resistance. This method needs two auxiliary electrodes and it is required that two auxiliary electrodes are placed at enough distances from the earthing electrode, e.g. building foundation. However, in urban area there is not enough space for taking measurement. So, it is very difficult to measure the earth resistance precisely. However, there is the 4- potential method when it stand on the theory of the full of potential method. It is the purpose of this paper to basic study on correction method of measured earthing resistance by 4-potential method.

터널보조공법으로서 TAS공법의 적용효과 (The Effect of TAS Method by an Auxiliary Method to Tunnel)

  • Generally it is informed that urethane materials are superior to the others in physical characteristics, durability, ground improvement and the influence to environment . But, the existing urethane methods are too expensive to apply. So this study has analyzed the applicability of TAS method which has developed the existing urethane injection mechanism. From the results, Extending the max-infection distance over l0m from 6m which the existing methods could inject to, TAS method has proved to be economical. Also, the TAS method is obtained quickly to ground improvement effect in various tunnel constructions because rise-time was relatively shorter than that of cement-grouting. Therefore, it is expected that TAS method would be applied a lot for water proof and ground improvement etc. owing to its many advantages mentioned the above.
