Development History and Direction of On-site Algae Collecting System with Flotation Technology (부상분리 기술을 이용한 현장형 조류수거시스템의 발전 과정 및 개발 방향)

  • On-site Algae Collecting System (OACS) is one of urgent countermeasures to clean the raw water when the algae blooms severely. Rapid reaction capability, high efficiency and large capacity are required when applying OACS to large water areas. The total performance of OACS are always determined by unit process named Flotation, Trapping and Collection. The working efficiency and daily treatment quantity of OACS can be increased when it runs automatically. As the rapid development of OACS technology, in the first place, equipment are miniaturized and simple. And in the second place, automation process from Trapping to Collection are advanced. So, They produce results higher working efficiency, smaller residual sludge on treated water, system's advanced environmental friendly features and the increased amount of sludge by Collection process to achieve large capacity. Now OACS has overcome the algae multiplication rate to ensured the amount of removal algae. In another aspect, it is high economically feasible because of reducing operation cost against the large capacity.

  • Home Networking will be implementing the interactive network by home appliances over wireless/wireline network framwork. That is, Home appliances, which are being operated within home space configure the network through wireline/wireless network infrastructure for interworking and interacitive services by external internet access. Based on home networking, smarthome is home space where can use automatic telecommunication and interactive service by home appliances. we can call smarthome based on home networking infrastructure as the conceptual gateway for evolving future converged space like u-city. From simple home control service to home automation service over home networking infrastructure, smarthome service is evolving to up-to-date intelligent life environment in growth of IT technology. however, its service model development was based on supplier-centered based on advanced IT technology. because of this situation, smarthome service has not been acknowledged IT underprivileged people as well as IT early-adaptor. so, this research paper will consider and try to find out what will be the feasible factors to make the best service for IT underprivileged people.

A Study on the Technology Development of User-based Home Automation Service (사용자 위치기반 홈오토메이션 서비스 기술 개발에 관한 연구)

  • As Internet of Things (IoT) technology advances, there is a growing demand for location-based services (LBSs) to identify users' mobility and identity. The initial LBS system was mainly used to measure position information by measuring the phase of a signal transmitted from a global positioning system (GPS) satellite or by measuring distance to a satellite by tracking the code of a carrier signal. However, the use of GPS satellites is ineffective, because it is difficult to receive satellite signals indoors. Therefore, research on wireless communications systems like ultra-wide band (UWB), radio frequency identification (RFID), and ZigBee are being actively pursued for location recognition technology that can be utilized in an indoor environment. In this paper, we propose an LBS system that includes the 2.45GHz band for chirp spread spectrum (CSS), and the 3.1-10.6GHz band and the 250-750MHz bands for UWB using the IEEE 802.15.4a standard for low power-based location recognition. As a result, we confirmed that the 2.45GHz Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band RF transceiver and the ranging function can be realized in the hardware and has 0dBm output power.

  • Based on the successful use of chatbot technology, this study examined what business values each company is creating. The chatbot service contributes to improving the productivity of the company by helping to answer or respond to the questions of employees inside the company or customers. And in the field of education, Instead of instructor, AI technology responds the questions and feedback of the students to reduce the work of the instructor. In the field of commerce, offline stores provide convenient and new purchasing experiences to customers by providing product purchasing services through artificial intelligence speakers and personalization service. Although chatbot service is creating business value in some business cases, it is still limited to the process of a specific company, and the spread rate is still slowing because the service scope, convenience, and usefulness are not greater than expected. Therefore, some chatbot development service providers is providing an integrated development platform to improve usability, Chatbots have the features and advantages of providing convenience instead of answering human questions. However, there is a disadvantage that the level of communication can be lowered by reducing various human subjective views and giving mainly objective answers. Through this study, we will discuss the characteristics, advantages and disadvantages of chatbot services by comparing them.

  • Typically, closed-circuit television (CCTV) monitoring is mainly used for post-processes (i.e. to provide evidence after an incident has occurred), but by using a streaming video feed, machine-based learning, and advanced image recognition techniques, current technology can be extended to respond to crimes or reports of missing persons in real time. The multi-CCTV cooperation technique developed in this study is a program model that delivers similarity information about a suspect (or moving object) extracted via CCTV at one location and sent to a monitoring agent to track the selected suspect or object when he, she, or it moves out of range to another CCTV camera. To improve the operating efficiency of local government CCTV control centers, we describe here the partial automation of a CCTV control system that currently relies upon monitoring by human agents. We envisage an integrated crime prevention service, which incorporates the cooperative CCTV network suggested in this study and that can easily be experienced by citizens in ways such as determining a precise individual location in real time and providing a crime prevention service linked to smartphones and/or crime prevention/safety information.

Preliminary Study on the Simulation for Urban Railway Facility Performance Assessment (도시철도시설 성능평가 시뮬레이션 구현을 위한 기초 연구)

  • For domestic urban railways, which have a 19.7% aging rate, a performance evaluation is necessary to establish capital improvement investment plans. The performance evaluation, which was recently enacted in the relevant law, points out the excessive time and effort for acquiring data and evaluation. This study developed a performance evaluation simulation prototype using a virtual reality (VR) method to use as training contents for railway performance evaluations. The practical use of the VR technique to reduce the working time under poor environment conditions was confirmed through a literature review. A survey and consultation were conducted for urban railway experts to determine the weight of the performance evaluation items and the facility breakdown structure. This information was utilized to develop performance evaluation sheets for simulation. Based on the evaluation sheet, a training content prototype that evaluates the performance of platform safety doors was developed using VR techniques with HTC VIVE equipment. VR simulation tests were conducted for six players, and the prototype was sufficiently advantageous for a visual confirmation of the facility information. The result is expected to be useful for engineers to understand the performance evaluation process efficiently before an actual performance evaluation of urban railway facilities.

  • 최근, 시장환경 및 생산구조의 변화에 따라 이른바 첨단생산기술(advanced manufacturing technologies)의 개발과 활용이 산업계 및 학계의 큰 관심을 끌고 있다. 그러나 첨단생산기술의 급속한 기술적 발전과 전략적 가치의 증가에도 불구하고 산업에의 확산은 상대적으로 부진한 현실이다. 이러한 현상은 물론 초기 투자의 재원도달 문제에 기인한다고 말할 수 있지만 일차적으로는 적절한 대안을 선정하고 투자의 정당성을 분석하는 방법론의 미비도 그 원인으로 지적되고 있다. 본 고는 전통적(conventional) 생산기술과 비교한 첨단생산기술과 비교한 첨단생산기술의 특성에 대한 이해를 기초로, 새로운 기술대안들을 비교 분석하는 구체적인 기법의 개발에 관한 접근의 방향성과 개념의 틀(framework)을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 첨단생산기술의 대안선정과 정당성분석은 다음과 몇 가지 특성을 지니고 있다. 첫째, 투자대안의 속성이 다양하며(multi-attribute) 각각의 속성이 상위 적(conflicting)일 수 있다. 둘째, 기술대안들의 잠재적 기능이 생산체제의 신축성과 유연성(flexible)의 제고를 강조하고 있다. 셋째, 개별기술의 통합을 통해 시스템 전체의 상승효과(synergy effect)를 추구하고 있다. 따라서 이러한 특성에 대한 인식을 토대로 정량적이고 전략적인 장·단점에 대한 고려를 포함하는 종합적이고 객관적인 분석의 틀과 기법이 사용되지 않으면 첨단생산기술의 성공적인 도입과 활용은 기대하기 어려운 것이다. 새로운 생산기술의 도입이 공정의 부분적 개선을 위한 소규모 투자일 경우에는 경제성의 분석을 위해서는 전통적인 재무관리(capital budgeting) 기법들이 이용될 수 있고 직접적인 공정개선의 효과분석을 위해서는 시뮬레이션을 적용하는 것이 바람직하다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 기술대안의 규모가 크고 따라서 그 파급효과가 전체공정으로 확산되는 대규모 사업일 경우에는 다양한 장·단점들을 고려하는 종합적인 접근의 틀이 필요하게 된다. 이러한 방법들을 크게 세 가지 형태로 나누어 보면 (1) 모든 대안들에 대해, 모든 요소들에 관한 비교분석을 동시에 실시하는 동시적 접근(simultaneous approach), (2) 대안 또는 요소들을 그 성격에 따라 계층적 구조로 분할하고 단계별로 비교분석을 실시하는 계층적 접근(hierarchical approach), (3) 요소들을 속성에 따라 몇 개의 소그룹으로 나누고 각 그룹에 대해 순차적으로 대안들을 비교분석 함으로써 고려대상이 되는 대안들을 줄여나가는 순차적 접근(sequtial approach)등을 들 수 있다 이러한 접근법들의 장·단점들을 사업의 규모나 복잡성에 따라 달라지게 된다. 또한 동일한 접근방법 내에서도 구체적인 기법의 선택과 개발도 문제의 특성에 따라 달리 결정되어야 한다. 그러나 어떠한 경우에도 오늘날의 첨단생산기술에의 투자는 현금의 흐름에 대한 계량적 분석에만 의존하는 전통적인 기법만으로는 불충분하며 기업목표와 생산조직 전반에 관한 전략적 요소들을 포함하는 종합적인 접근이 바람직하다.

  • The success of a construction project depends on efficient construction supply chain and service informationalization as types and quantities of materials in construction industry geometrically increase because the size of the construction industry increasingly becomes huge, high-rise, and complex. However, the omission of data for each step and the lower effect occurs because of uncertainty and inaccuracy of information as compared to other industries. In addition, it takes many hours to manage the present material states. Currently, IT technology and various mobile devices are being developed through the automation system of next generation intelligent construction supply chain management for the effective supply chain information management but the confusion regarding the recognition and transmission of the supply chain information between the multiple materials and transportation equipment using the IT and wireless network technology occurred. Therefore, the objective of this study is to propose the recognition mechanism which can deduce processes which caused the confusion of the recognition and transmission with supply chain information and solve the problems originated from the processes so as to solve the problems related to the confirmation and the communication of the correct supply chain information.

  • Recent proliferation of advanced technologies such as wireless communication, mobile, sensor technology and so on has caused significant changes in a traffic environment. Human beings, in particular drivers, as well as roads and vehicles were advanced on information, intelligence and automation thanks to those advanced technologies; Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and autonomous vehicles are the results of changes in a traffic environment. This study proposed considerations when designing a simulation model for future transportation environments, which are difficult to predict the change by means of advanced technologies. First of all, approximability, flexibility and scalability were defined as a macroscopic concept for a simulation model design. For actual similarity, calibration is one of the most important steps in simulation, and Physical layer and MAC layer should be considered for the implementation of the communication characteristics. Interface, such as API, for inserting the additional models of future traffic environments should be considered. A flexible design based on compatibility is more important rather than a massive structure with inherent many functions. Distributed computing with optimized H/W and S/W together is required for experimental scale. The results of this study are expected to be used to the design of future traffic simulation.

  • Recently, there have been various researches on the cost reduction and savings during the construction activities with the development of automation and computerized information system. Considering the cost savings during the construction, the development of the geological and geotechnical information system with high practical use becomes very important since the geologic and geotechnical data are required for the design of the various structures. Currently, the geological and geotechnical data are collected and distributed as a geological/geotechnical map or engineering geology map and map with other specific purpose through geoinfo system at Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources, Korea Mineral Resources GIS at Korea Mineral Resources Corporation, Geotechnical Information Portal System at Korea Institute of Construction Technology, Geotechnical Information System at the City of Seoul and the Ocean Data Integration Material System at Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Administration. Furthermore, the information on the groundwater is monitored and collected via Integrated Ground Water Information Service at Korea Water Resources Corporation and Rural Groundwater net at Korea Rural Community Corporation. Therefore, in this study, the contents of the geological and geotechnical data collected from the above mentioned government organization are compared and the DB and distribution system with higher utilization are suggested based on the comparisons with those from other countries such as United States of America, Japan and Germany.
