근해통발조업의 안전향상 및 어로장비 개발을 위한 요인분석 (The analysis of questionnaire survey to develop advanced fishing gear and to improve safe fishing procedure for offshore pot fishery)

  • In this study, factors such as improvement of a fishing process and safety, reduction of the labor force and headcount and development of the automation technology for offshore (eel and crab) pot fishing vessels were analyzed. A questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze and select the key factors using independent/paired sample t-test and correlation analysis, and a living lab was operated with ship owners, skippers and experts to discuss practical needs of the site. From the result of questionnaire survey and field requirements, it was possible to understand the level of awareness of ship safety, general safety equipment, fishing work process and fishing safety equipment from the point of view of the field. In addition, there were differences in the measurement results of each items because the working environment and experience were different according to the position of the ship owner and the skipper. The results of the questionnaire survey and various perceptions of field stakeholders were reflected when analyzing the fishing system and fishing process to choose the development equipment applicable to the field. From the analysis results, the selected development equipment based on the fishing equipment and process currently in operation are pot washing device, catch separation and fish hold injection device, length limit regulations and bait ejection device after use, automatic main line winding device, bait crusher, automatic (crab) pot hauling separator and so on.

컨테이너 터미널 배치 형태와 본선작업 생산성에 대한 연구 (A Study on Container Terminal Layout and the Productivity of Container Crane During Ship Turnaround Time)

  • 스마트 항만 및 항만 자동화에 수직 배치형 컨테이너 터미널을 적용하여 운영하는 사례가 늘고 있다. 본 연구는 수평 배치형과 수직 배치형 컨테이너 터미널에서의 본선작업 시간을 분석함으로써 각 터미널간 생산성을 비교하고, 향후 수직 배치형 컨테이너 터미널의 운영 효율성 증대 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 각각을 대표하는 터미널을 선정하여, 2018년부터 2022년까지 최근 5년 선석배정현황 데이터를 수집하였으며, 모수적 생존분석 기법인 가속실패시간모형(Accelerated Failure Time, AFT)을 활용하여 분석을 실시하였다. C/C 작업 조건이 '동일하다'는 가정 하에서, 수직 배치형 컨테이너 터미널에서의 본선 작업 생산성이 보다 좋은 것으로 나타났으며, 코로나19 기간에는 생산성이 감소한 결과를 나타냈다. 작업량이 많은 선박의 경우와 유럽 선사의 선박의 경우, 본선작업 시간이 감소하는 걸 알 수 있다. 적정 C/C의 투입 및 효율적 운영, 장비들 간 원활한 운영, shifting 작업은 증가, C/C를 포함한 하역 장비들의 준비시간 감소 및 고장/사고 최소화 등 수직 형태 컨테이너 터미널의 생산성을 높이기 위한 방안을 제시하였다.

  • 우리 해군은 함정 제품모델(Naval Ship Product Model, NSPM)을 중심으로 하는 협업 제품개발 환경 구축을 통해 설계 데이터의 재사용성과 M&S의 활용도를 높이고 있다. 그 결과 설계결과의 신뢰성이 높아지고 있으며, 이를 활용한 운영, 건조 시뮬레이션을 통해 소요군의 요구사항이 면밀히 반영되도록 하는 연구도 진행 중에 있다. 이에 따라 설계 데이터의 DB 구축 및 그 품질에 대한 중요성이 부각되고 있으나, 그와 관련된 연구는 초기상태에 머물러 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 저자들의 선행연구 결과인 함정 제품모델의 품질검증 방법론에 기초하여 함정 제품모델을 구성하고 있는 형상요소의 구체적인 품질검증 방안과 이를 자동화하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 함정 제품모델 데이터 중 상대적으로 중요하며, 검증과정에 많은 시간이 소요되고 있는 선각모델을 사례연구 대상으로 정의하였으며, 자동차산업에서 사용되고 있는 제품데이터품질(Product Data Quality, PDQ)을 형상검증 기준으로 활용하였다. 최종적으로 선각모델의 형상 품질검증을 위한 기준과 알고리즘을 제안하였으며 이에 기반 한 초기 시스템을 개발하였다.

DDS 미들웨어 기반의 선박 통합기관감시제어체계 개발 가능성 연구 (Feasibility Study of Developing Ship Engineering Control System based on DDS Middle-ware)

  • 함정의 전투관리체계나 민간의 스마트 시티와 같은 많은 센서와 동작기기가 연결된 체계에서는 주로 미들웨어인 DDS(Data Distribution Service)를 사용하여 대규모의 데이터를 전송하고 향후 센서나 장비 증가에 대해 효과적으로 대응하고 있다. 선박에서 함정의 전투관리체계(Combat Management System, CMS)와 같은 역할을 하는 중요한 제어체계인 통합기관감시제어체계(Engineering Control System, ECS)는 여전히 Server-Client 모델을 기반으로 산업용 프로토콜(Modbus, CAN(Controller Area Network) bus 등)을 사용하여 데이터를 전송하고 있어 확장성 측면에서 불리하다. 따라서 향후 자동화나 무인화가 진행될 경우에 많은 센서류가 추가될 것이며 이는 많은 프로그램 수정소요가 발생하게 되며, DDS는 이러한 상황에서 좋은 해결책이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 전투관리체계에서 사용 중인 미들웨어인 DDS 중에서 OMG(Object Management Group) 표준을 따르는 OpenDDS를 활용하여 선박의 통합기관감시제어체계의 개발 가능성을 확인하였다. 이를 위해 필드장비 시뮬레이터 및 ECS 서버를 구성하여 DDS를 이용한 필드장비 데이터 입출력 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 개발한 ECS 축소모형은 데이터를 발간-구독하는데 문제가 없으며, DDS가 선박 ECS의 미들웨어로 충분히 사용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Tracking Error Performance of Tracking Filters Based on IMM for Threatening Target to Navel Vessel

  • Tracking error performance is investigated for the typical maneuvering pattern of the anti-ship missile for tracking filters based on IMM filter in both clear and cluttered environments. Threatening targets to a navel vessel can be categorized into having three kinds of maneuvering patterns such as Waver, Pop-Up, and High-Diver maneuvers, which are classified according to launching platform or acceleration input to be applied. In this paper, the tracking errors for three kinds of maneuvering targets are represented and are investigated through simulation results. Studying estimation errors for each maneuvering target allows us to have insight into the most threatening maneuvering pattern and to construct the test maneuvering scenario for radar system validation.

  • The voyage data is very important for safety of ships, and duty being effectuated by the installation of voyage data record (VDR) on ships. VDR is a black-box, and it contains 14 kinds of voyage data as text. But it is not easy to understand when the accident happened because voyage data is saved as complicated texts. User interface (UI), analysis, visualization system, which works for assist to gather information about situation of accident, was developed. It will be possible to develop onboard ship monitoring and voyage prediction system by the VDR visualization system's development in near future.

  • A lot of pieces of iron plate are used to build a ship. The states of cutting surface of iron are however bended or ununiformly cuttled by cutting machine. These may cause bad Quality of painting, and shorter lifetime of iron by rust. In this paper, a new approach of grinding force control method which teaching of robot is not required is proposed to avoid long preparation time of robot and to improve the productivity. The way used in this paper is just like a blind man works through the road with stick only.

  • The welding distortion of a hull structure in the shipbuilding industry is inevitable at each assembly stage. The geometric inaccuracy caused by the distortion tends to preclude the introduction of automation and mechanization. Thus, additional man-hours are needed for the adjusting work in the assembly stage. To overcome this problem, a distortion control method should be applied. For this purpose, it is necessary to develop an accurate prediction method that can explicitly account for the influence of various factors on the welding distortion. In order to minimize the weld-induced residual deformation, this paper proposes the optimum welding sequence as a method for distortion control. The validity of this method has been substantiated by a number of numerical simulations and experiments.

  • Given the growing interest in damage control training for the naval ships and their organizations, expectations for a new concept of training program have also increased. The existing training programs and its concept focus on training crew to be more proficient and skilled so that they can respond better to damage situations, i.e., fires and flooding. This paper suggests a development procedure of damage control training scenarios using the survivability analysis results as a new concept of damage control training programs employing advanced systems such as damage control console, automation system, and kill cards. This approach could help the decision maker not only enhance his or her capability but also improve the reacting capability of crew members for complex situations induced by a weapon hit.

  • There are several serious problems in treating shipboard wastewater due to special environmental conditions of ship, such as confined space, rolling and pitching, change of temperature and so on. It was suggested that Sequence Batch Reator (SBR) process might be suitable for overcoming above problems in terms of small size, high capacity of treating wastewater and full automation. In this study the SBR process was used for the secondary treatment of shipboard wastewater. The average removal efficiency of DOC, nitrogen, phosphorus and surfactants(MBAS) were studied and the effects of various C/N ration on the efficiency of treatment were investgated. From the experimental results it was convinced that the SBR process would be able to be used as a suitable process for removing organic matters and nitrogen in reuse system of shipboard wastewater.
