Physical Layer Security Method with CAN Bus Node ID Auto-Setting (CAN 버스에서 노드 ID 자동 설정을 통한 물리 계층 보안 기법)

  • When a node in automotive CAN bus is hacked, such node should be blocked to prevent severe danger in the car. In order to do that, such node should be uniquely identified. However, there is no way to identify individual nodes in a CAN bus. In this paper, a physical layer security method is proposed where individual nodes are identified by assigning unique ID to the nodes during booting process. The proposed method was implemented in a CAN controller using Verilog HDL, and it is verified that the node ID auto-setting and internal attack defense are successfully performed.

  • Concerns about food safety continue to rise and under this situation, governments of some countries have reinforced their regulations more strictly for food safety. In order to prevent food safety incidents or, at least to minimize the impact, the preparedness is very important. As a consequence of this, traceability system has become an essential tool for food safety. Recently, it requires more prevention-based food safety control system. One of the most generally used systems for food safety control is Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP). Both traceability and HACCP systems can be integrated through Electronic Product Code (EPC) Sensor Network technologies which have four value propositions. In this paper, we will introduce the concept of product and process traceability system (P2TS) through the integration of three systems to improve food safety management. The final aim is to find out the added values of the P2TS.

  • As computing paradigm of the next generation, Ubiquitous Computing has emerged owing to growing of the Internet and computer networking technologies, and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) which is the core technology to achieve(realize,actualize) the Ubiquitous Computing environment, is being noticed. MIT's Auto-ID Center has proposed PML(Physical Markup Language) which is based on XML (Extensible Markup Language), is a standard language for describing physical objects, in order to interchange of data between each of these RFID application systems. The PML defines only core parts to describe physical objects, but on the other hand the other parts to be needed in practical application have to be defined with extended definitions separately. In this paper, therefore, the object information data model was designed, which defines the type of the object in order. to process electronic tag information in the RFID application service based on PML Core of Auto-ID Center and is applicable to the distribution service parts.

Past Anti-Collision Algorithm in Ubiquitous ID System (Ubiquitous ID 시스템에서 고속 충돌 방지 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes and analyzes the anti-collision algorithm in Ubiquitous ID system. We mathematically compares the performance of the proposed algorithm with that of binary search algorithm, slotted binary tree algorithm using time slot, and bit-by-bit binary tree algorithm proposed by Auto-ID center. We also validated analytic results using OPNET simulation. Based on the analytic results, comparing the proposed algorithm with bit-by-bit algorithm which is the best of existing algorithms, the performance of proposed algorithm is about 5% higher when the number of tags is 20, and 100% higher when the number of tags is 200.

  • As increasing trade through the world, especially in food, asymmetry of information can make the trade shrink. With the industrial development, Korea's agriculture had shrunk dramatically. By the result of the nation's industrial restructuring, over than 3/4 of Korea food consumption comes from abroad. And China is an important source of agricultural product to Korea. Increasing family income and increasing importing food consumption, Korean consumers have been interested in food safety. Especially. after experiencing several cases like struggle for safety of GMO food, poultry influenza, lead contained Chinese fish import, mad cow disease, cheating origin, etc. Obviously, those unreliable cases will hinder the increase of world free trade as well as the trust of two countries. Furthermore, distrust will be a cause of adverse selection. So, it need to find a way to solve the distrust which caused by asymmetry of information. And automatic identification procedures can help mitigate asymmetry of information in trade. And it will make Korean consumers can avoid adverse selection. This paper suggests adoption of Auto ID to encourage agricultural trade between Korea and China.

  • 홈네트워크 기술 중 전력선 통신은 ‘No New Wire'의 개념으로 기존 가정에서 홈네트워크 구축을 위해 신규배선을 필요로 하지 않기 때문에 댁내 백본 네트워크로 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 그러나 PLC 네트워크 구축시 사람이 수동으로 설정해주어야 함으로써 사용자는 어려움을 느끼고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 PLC 디바이스의 전원이 인가되면 그룹 코드와 디바이스 ID를 자동으로 부여받아 사용자의 별도 개입없이 PLC기기를 사용할 수 있는 Intelligent PLC 모뎀을 구현하고 이를 관리할 수 있는 메시지 형식을 설계 구현한다.

Based on analytic result comparing the proposed Modified bit-by-bit binary tree algorithm with bit-by-bit binary tree algorithm which is the best of existing algorithms, the performance of Modified bit-by-bit binary tree algorithm is about 5% higher when the number of tags is 20, and 100% higher when the number of tags is 200. Furthermore, the performance of proposed Enhanced bit-by-bit binary tree algorithm is about 335% and 145% higher than Modified bit-by-bit binary tree algorithm for 20 and 200 tags respectively.

  • In this paper, We proposed a Optical Correlation for indoor positioning based LED-ID. The proposed Optical Correlation has a advantage to low-interference between spread code number sequences and LED-ID. it is applied a spread code to reduce the interference with additional information based LED-ID. The additional information is enable to detect in transmitted signal using auto correlation. Also we designed and implemented the Optical Correlation for clearly detecting the additional information. Simulations were performed to confirm the performance of BER and the power of additional information. Optical Correlation simulator to indoor positioning based LED-ID was implemented to prove a usefulness.
