Background: Breast cancer accounted for almost 25% of all cancers in women globally in 2012. Although breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer in India, there is no organised national breast cancer screening programme. Local studies on the burden of breast cancer are essential to develop effective context-specific strategies for an early detection breast cancer programme, considering the cultural and ethnic heterogeneity in India. This study examined the knowledge, attitudes, and practices about breast cancer in rural women in Central India. Materials and Methods: This community-based cross sectional study was conducted in Wardha district, located in Maharashtra state in Central India in 2013. The sample included 1000 women (609 rural, 391 urban) aged 13-50 years, selected as representative from each of the eight development blocks in the district, using stratified cluster sampling. Trained social workers interviewed women and collected demographic and socio-economic data. The instrument also assessed respondents' knowledge about breast cancer and its symptoms, risks, methods of screening, diagnosis and treatment, as well as their attitudes towards breast cancer and selfreported practices of breast cancer screening. Chi-square and t-test were applied to assess differences in the levels of knowledge, attitude, and practice (the outcome variables) between urban and rural respondents. Multivariable linear regression was conducted to analyse the relationship between socio-demographic factors and the outcome variables. Results: While about two-thirds of rural and urban women were aware of breast cancer, less than 7% in rural and urban areas had heard about breast self-examination. Knowledge about breast cancer, its symptoms, risk factors, diagnostic modalities, and treatment was similarly poor in both rural and urban women. Urban women demonstrated more positive attitudes towards breast cancer screening practices than their rural counterparts. Better knowledge of breast cancer symptoms, risk factors, diagnosis, and treatment correlated significantly with older age, higher levels of education, and being office workers or in business. Conclusions: Women in rural Central India have poor knowledge about breast cancer, its symptoms and risk factors. Breast self-examination is hardly practiced, though the willingness to learn is high. Positive attitudes towards screening provide an opportunity to promote breast self-examination.
Although the role of information systems (IS) on environmental sustainability much attention, the coordination between green practices and environmental management information systems (EMIS) in a firm remains unexplored area in environmental management and IS disciplines. This study elaborated the antecedents of the coordination between green practices and EMIS and then examines the links among them. Also, this study investigated the links from the coordination between green practices and EMIS to firm's environmental performance. The results showed that both attitudes of managers who are responsible for a firm's green practices and their support had direct effects on the coordination between green practices and EMIS. Also, consistent with environmental management literature, the study provides a better understanding of the relationship between the coordination between green practices and EMIS and environmental performance.
The purpose of this study was to survey Korean soldiers' oral healthcare practice and attitudes along with their stress level, and thereby to identify possible correlations among those factors. The survey was conducted from June 11 to Oct. 10, 2008 in G-gun, Chungbuk. province for soldiers. The questionnaire was consisted of the oral healthcare practice and attitude, stress level. As a result, it was found that our respondents scored 3.55 out of possible 9 point in their stress level, which indicated that they had relatively low stress on the whole. According to survey on their oral healthcare practice and attitude depending on their general characteristics, it was found that the higher academic career was associated directly with the more practices of oral healthcare, and nonsmoking group showed more practices of oral healthcare than smoking group. It was found that 'schoolwork and workplace' and 'sexual problem' were critical stress factors on our respondents' oral healthcare attitudes. And it was also found that 'outward appearance complex', 'personality complex', 'conflicts with parents' and 'sexual problem' were critical stress factors on their oral healthcare practices. Since our soldiers' maintenance of their oral healthcare is beneficial to both individual and national aspects, it is necessary for interested parties including dental surgeons to make efforts to develop a promotional program for military dental healthcare project and provide a series of reorientations for soldiers, so that they can have more positive oral healthcare practices and attitudes.

This study was conducted to identify the effects of patient safety competency on patient safety management practice by nursing students and provide basic data for the development of the program to improve patient safety management practice. Participants were 293 fourth year nursing students who had clinical practice as student nurses for more than one year. Data were collected from April 26 to May 9, 2018. Collected data were analyzed for frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson' s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression with SPSS/WIN 24.0 computer program. Nursing students' patient safety competency was an average $2.90{\pm}0.38$ points (patient safety knowledge $2.68{\pm}0.65$; patient safety skills $3.26{\pm}0.56$; patient safety attitudes $2.75{\pm}0.40$). The average core of management practices to patient safety recorded $4.13{\pm}0.57$ points. In terms of the correlation among subjects' patient safety knowledge, skills, attitudes and patient safety management practices, significant correlation existed between skills and management practices (r=.337, p<.001), attitudes and management practices (r=-.150, p =.010), knowledge and management practices (r=.171, p=.003). Regression analysis revealed that 15.7% of the variance in patient safety management practice by nursing students could be explained by patient safety skills (${\beta}=.307$, p<.001), patient safety accident experience of Fire (${\beta}=-.127$, p=.026), patient safety attitudes (${\beta}=-.121$, p=.026), and patient safety accident experience of patient education (${\beta}=-.119$, p=.034). Additional studies to determine the various factors affecting patient safety management practice of nursing students and to develop educational program for increasing patient safety management practice should be conducted.
The purpose of this study was to investigate culinary arts and hospitality students' food safety practice behaviors, intentions, attitudes, and barriers to food safety compliance. This descriptive study used the self-report questionnaire. The convenience sample was composed of 266 college students majoring in culinary arts and hospitality. The students indicated that they never or rarely use a thermometer to determine if meats have been adequately cooked. Examples of positive food handling behaviors were hand washing, sanitation of fruits and vegetables, discarding of food past its expiration date, counter top sanitation, and proper food storage. Students strongly agreed it is their responsibility to practice food safety and to educate their employees about food safety. The primary barrier to proper food safety as ranked by student respondents is the misunderstanding about food labeling. Previous food safety education and internship experience appeared to improve the student respondents' perceived attitudes toward following the principles of food safety practices (p < 0.05), although behaviors and intentions to use the correct food safety practices were not affected. The findings of this study suggest that programs should consider integrating information and experiential learning opportunities in their courses that would be enhance student understanding about food safety. The outcomes of this study can be applied to develop food safety education materials and programs for culinary arts and hospitality students.

Nursing students who are in clinical practices under the complicated medical environment to become competent practitioners can be exposed to a variety of dangerous situations. In particular, nursing students can experience stress and compromised safety because they have difficulty in prioritizing their tasks and lack confidence in clinical and interpersonal skills. The purpose of this study is to investigate the types and characteristics of nursing students' attitudes toward the safety of clinical practices, and improve their safety related to clinical practices. A total of 40 statements about the safety of clinical practices were applied to 37 nursing students. Collected data were analyzed with the PC QUANL program. The Perception of nursing students to the safety of clinical practices was categorized into three types: 'Pursuit of perfection in overwhelming state type', 'Perseverance Patience type' and 'Cover up-meeting expectation type'. The subjects related to the safety of clinical practices need to be developed within the curriculum of nursing departments by examining the Perception of nursing students to the safety of clinical practices. In addition, a sense of responsibility shared by nursing students, educators and practitioners needs to be enhanced to improve the safety of clinical practices.

The purposes of this study were to collect basic data on education of Sexuality(Health education) of consciousness & value of sexuality of elementary school children. 584,6th grade students in elementary school in Yong-In city were analysed and the results are as follow; 1. Knowledges of sexuality for children was at a average level, especially "physical change of puberty" and "sexual violence" were well recognized but "the physical characteristics of male & female" and "physiological phenomena of men" were less recognized. Attitudes of sexuality were positive for "relationship with partners" and "expression of mind". Practices of sexuality were at a low rate in the case of "shaking hands with partner" and "experience of sexual behavior". The Value of sexuality was at a high rates in the case of "the role of sex", "equality" & "self-identification", therefore students need good education of sexuality from childhood 2. Sexuality education of students increased knowledges of sexuality as a consciousness. There was no relationship between attitudes and pratices of sexuality. Educated children valued sexuality move highly than uneducated children. This result shows that education is needed with regard to both the knowledge and value of sexuality in a planned system. We need some program to provide more information on sexual attitudes and practices. 3. There was a high correlation between the consciousness of sexuality and value placed on it. As sexual awareness increases amongst students codes of morality develop Positive sexual attitudes served as good role models for sex. In particular positive sexual attitudes have a big effect on sexual values. In addition, as sexual awareness and attitude increase amongst students the role of sexual development. The elementary school phase sexual values are developed and determined. It is therefore an important phase.

Background: Initiation, perpetuation and cessation of smoking are all multifactorial. It is essential to explore interactions among various parameters influencing smoking and its cessation for effective smoking cessation interventions. Objectives: To obtain insights into smoking and its cessation among current smokers in India. Materials and Methods: The present study was conducted among current smokers visiting the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS), Manipal University, Mangalore. Knowledge, attitudes, behavior, worksite practices towards smoking and its cessation, barriers to smoking cessation and socio-demographic variables were explored using a structured, pretested, self-administered questionnaire. Results: A total of 175 current smokers participated in the study. Mean knowledge, attitude, worksite practice and barrier scores were $15.2{\pm}5.67$ (66.1%), $57.5{\pm}7.67$ (82.1%), $4.18{\pm}2.02$ (41.8%) and $57.4{\pm}12.37$ (63.7%) respectively. Correlation analysis revealed: association of knowledge with education, occupation and religion; attitude with education and occupation; worksite practices with occupation; knowledge with attitude; and barriers negatively with worksite practices. The majority (85.7%) of respondents intended to quit smoking and this was associated with higher attitude scores, whereas actual quit attempts were associated with high knowledge, attitudes, worksite practices and low barrier scores. Conclusions: Various socio-demographic factors associated with smoking and its cessation were identified. The present study highlights the importance of identifying and targeting these interactions while framing guidelines and interventions for effective tobacco cessation in a developing country like India.
The purpose of this study is to investigate general tendencies in credit card use, and determine the causes of the use of cash advance service and deferred payment among college students. Socio-demographic variables(gender, year in college, allowance, family income, parents' education and occupation, having taken a personal financial management course), knowledge and attitudes toward credit card, and financial management practices were incorporated as antecedent variables. Logistic regression analysis and multiple regression analysis were conducted to test the hypotheses. The results were as follows ; First, $32\%$ of the college students with no regular income experienced deferred payment, and $60.4\%$ of them had used a cash advance service. Second, the frequency and amount of cash advance service use were affected by family income, financial practices, and allowance. The financial practice as a parameter was affected by their completion of a personal finance course and their allowance. Third, deferred payment of credit was affected by their knowledge on credit cards and their financial practices. The financial practices as a parameter were affected by the family income and their completion of a personal finance course, and the knowledge on credit cards was affected by gender. Lastly, implications and suggestions for credit card use behavior research and consumer credit education are discussed in this article.
In this study, a survey was conducted to both evaluate the consumers' general attitudes for purchasing and storing the raw chicken and determine the thawing practices used for defrosting frozen chicken at home. About 75% of the consumers indicated purchasing chicken meat at least once a week or more. Furthermore, the majority (82.16%) of those who stored at least a portion of the raw chicken stated freezing the raw chicken meat at home. Freezing the chicken meat was considered to have no effect on the quality by 43.49% of the consumers while 56.51% thought that freezing had either negative or positive effects on the quality. The survey study indicated that top five most commonly used thawing practices included thawing on the kitchen counter, thawing in the refrigerator, thawing in the warm water, thawing in the microwave, and thawing under tap water. In addition, an experimental study was conducted to determine the effects of these most commonly used thawing practices on some quality characteristics of the chicken meat including pH, drip loss, cooking loss, color analysis and textural profile analysis. Although, $L^*$ value for thawing on the kitchen counter was the lowest, after cooking, none of the thawing treatments have a significant effect on the color values. Thawing in the microwave produced the highest drip loss of 3.47% while the lowest drip loss of 0.62% was observed with thawing in the refrigerator. On the other hand, thawing in the microwave and refrigerator caused the lowest cooking loss values of 18.29% and 18.53%, respectively. Nevertheless, there were no significant differences among textural parameter values of the defrosted and then cooked samples using the home based thawing practices, indicating similar quality characteristics among the samples.
