폴리에틸렌기지 복합재료의 동적탄성계수에 대한 강화재의 효과 (Effect of Reinforcements on Dynamic Elastic Modulus of Polyethylene Matrix Composite Materials)

  • The attenuation coefficients of SiC particle reinforced low-density polyethylene (LDPE) matrix composites were measured by pulse echo method and dynamic elastic measure method with varying the volume fraction of SiC particle ranged from 0% to 40% and the size of SiC particles ranged from 0.8$\mu$m to 48$\mu$m. The SiCp/LDPE composites were fabricated with the melt injection process and the fabricated composites showed almost full density above 99% up to 40vo1% SiCp reinforcements. The attenuation constant of LDPE measured by dynamic elastic constant had same result with that measured by pulse echo method, but the attenuation constant of SiCp/LDPE measured by dynamic elastic constant did not have same result with that measured by pulse echo method.

Dielectric Band-Pass Filter with Attenuation Poles at Desired Frequencies

  • An analytic design formula is proposed for a TEM mode dielectric bandpass filter with attenuation poles at desired frequencies in the stop band. In order to sustain the constant ripple in the passband due to attenuation poles, the initial resonant frequencies of the various resonators adopted in a filter with attenuation poles are newly calculated. The proposed design theory is verified by designing various bandpass filters with attenuation poles in the stop band.

Acoustic Properties of Rubber Compound for Anechoic Coating

  • Three kinds of rubber compounds were prepared, and their underwater acoustical properties were investigated for anechoic coating. Dynamic mechanical properties of the rubber compounds were measured using a dynamic mechanical analyzer and extended to 100 kHz using time-temperature superposition. The sound speed, reflection coefficient, and attenuation constant were calculated. Silicone rubber showed the lowest reflection coefficient, and nitrile rubber showed the highest attenuation constant. The acoustic properties of nitrile rubber compounds with various compositions were investigated. The sound speed, reflection coefficient, and transmission coefficient of the nitrile rubber in the frequency range of 200-1000 kHz were measured in a water-filled tank.

  • Recently, the microprocessor with network function based control system instead of conventional microprocessor is widely used for industrial applications, and also these technologies are widely adopted for train control and monitoring in modem rapid transit system. The purpose of this paper is to propose a criteria for data transmission, which was designed and realized through Korea High Speed Train. Noise, distortion and attenuation are always present in data transmission system and strictly limit performance. This paper describes a method to calculate the propagation constant, attenuation constant, phase velocity and length of stub.

초음파의 감쇠를 이용한 복합재료의 기공함량 평가 (Void Contents Evaluation of Composite Laminates by Ultrasonic Attenuation Measurements)

  • The void content of carbon fiber reinforced composite laminates was determined by the ultrasonic nondestructive technique. The ultrasonic immersion, through-transmission method developed stresses the utilization of spectral analysis and frequency dependence of the attenuation due to porosity. The measured attenuation shows approximately linear behavior over the frequency range investigated. The linear relationship between the void content and the attenuation slop (d $\alpha$/df) is found to hold, but the constant of proportionality is quite different for samples with different pore morphology. The void volume fraction determined by the attenuation slope agreed very well with that obtained by the acid digestion analysis.

  • Ferrite electromagnetic wave absorber whose attenuation ability are mainly relied on their magnetic loss, has been used in relatively narrow wave frequency ranges. In this study, we tried to produce a wide-range electromagnetic wave absorber by laminating sintered ferrite (Mn0.07Ni0.28Zn0.65Fe2O4) and dielectrics (Cordierite). We also investigated effects of dielectric constant and thickness on the attenuation behavior of the absorber. Applicable band width, in which the attenuation is greater than 20 dB can be widened from 100∼700 MHz of ferrite alone to 100∼900MHz by employing the laminated structure. Thickness of dielectrics to achieve wide-range application decreased as the dielectric constant increased.

  • 본 논문은 $1{\sim}20Ghz$의 대역별 위성통신 신호에 미치는 영향에 대해 예측 모델을 제안하고 기존 황사시 측정한 데이터와 비교 분석하였다. 황사의 감쇠 특성을 분석하기 위해 황사 물질에 대한 이론적 분석을 하였으며 이를 통해 예측 감쇠량을 제시하였다. 예측 감쇠량을 실제 우리나라 황사 강도와 가시거리와 높이 등의 파라미터를 적용한 이론치를 구하여 4년간 측정한 실측치와 비교하였고 이를 토대로 황사로 인한 감쇠를 미리 예측 가능할 것으로 확인되었다.

코발트-60 선원 대체용 고선량률 Ir-192 선원의 조직선량특성 (Characteristics of Tissue Dose of High Dose Rate Ir-192 Source Substitution for Co-60 Brachytherapy Source)

  • 코발트-60 근접조사선원을 대체할 Ir-l92 선원주변의 2차원적 선량분포를 얻기 위하여, 조사선량률과, 조직감쇠계수를 구하였다. 조직감쇠계수는 선원에서 20 cm 지점까지 실험식을 구하였다. ?보기 방사능은 조사선량상수를 사용하여 결정하였으며, 2.5mm 직경에 두께 2.5 mm 의 선원은 조직선량을 정하기 위해 선원을 4401 개로 분할하여 선원 자체의 흡수효과와 ?슐벽의 차폐 효과와 조직감쇠계수를 적용하였다. 조직감쇠계수는 4차식을 사용하여 1% 오차범위내에서 실험값을 얻을 수 있었으며, Meisberger 상수는 선원에서 많이 떨어질수록 오차가 커서, 10 cm 위치서 7%, 20 cm 에서 33%의 오차를 발견할 수 있었으나, 겉보기방사능과 선원모양 및 크기가 달라 다른 결과를 가져올 수 있다고 본다. 발표된 Ir-192 선원의 에너지스펙트럼을 이용한 선량률상수는 절삭에너지 10 keV인 경우 4.69 R$cm^2$/mCi-hr을 얻었으며 Air Kerma는 0.973 을 구하였다. 이 실험에서 고안 선원의 분할선원에 의한 선원자체흡수와 ?슐벽에 의한 감쇠는 실선원의 54.6%가 겉보기방사능으로 나타남을 알 수 있었으며, 선량계획에 이용하기 위해 단위 ?보기 방사능에 대한 2차원적 선량표를 준비함으로써 기하학적선량과 선량 비등방성을 쉽게 이용할 수 있도록 하였다.

초음파 CT에서의 굴절 및 위상 상쇄 효과의 영향과 그 보정법 (In fluency on Refraction and Phase Cancellation Effect in Ultrasonic CT and its Correction)

  • 초음파 CT는 tissue characterization을 위해 현재 유용한 기법으로 기시되고 있다. 그러나 이에 의해 재구성된 음속분포 및 감쇠·정교 분제는 초음파 빔의 반사, 굴절, 위상 상쇄 효과 등의 화상 열하요각으로 인해 그 단력상의 정량성 평가에 문제점이 존재한다. 이에, 본 논문은 먼저 초음파 CT 화상의 정량적 평가를 위해 개발한 한천(Agar) gel 팬텀을 이용하여 감표 정수 분포 화상 열하 요인을 검토했다. 그 결과, 팬텀 중앙부에서의 재구성 감쇠정교는, 주위매휴(식단수)영 음속차가 25m1s일 때, 실제치보다 약 0.6dB/cm 정도 작게 나타났다. 다음, 이의 보정법으로 수신용 마이크로프로브 어레이법에 대한 계산기 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통해 그 유효성을 검토하고, 양호한 결과가 얻어짐을 밟혔다. Although ultrasonic CT is one of the useful techniques for tissue characterization, the reconstructed images, such as the velocity distribution and attenuation constant distribution, are degraded by reflection and refraction of ultrasonic beam. This paper studied the degradation effects on attenuation images using agar gel phantoms which were developed to evaluate ultrasonic CT. We found that the reconstructed attenuation constants at the center of the phantoms were less than the actual values by 0.6 dB/cm when phantom velocity differs by 25 m/s from surrounding saline. We also studied a correction method for refraction and phase cancellation effects, where the correction was made using the maximum value in the received subdata, as obtained by sub-arraying microprobes located at each sampling point. Using this method, we could obtain an improvement in the reconstructed image by the correction on the attenuation effect.

  • A free space transmission method using standard gain horn antennas in the frequency range from 9.0 to 10.5GHz is applied to determine the dielectric properties of grain such as rough rice, brown rife and barley. The dielectric constant and loss factor, which depend on the moisture content of the wetted grain are obtained from the measured attenuation and phase shift by vector network analyzer. The effect of density fluctuation, which is an important parameter governing the dielectric properties of grain, on the dielectric constant and loss factor is presented. A new density-independent model in terms of measured attenuation and moisture density is proposed for reducing the effects of density fluctuation on the moisture content measurement.
