원자간인력현미경을 이용한 분자수준의 중금속 이온 검출 (Molecular Level Detection of Heavy Metal Ions Using Atomic Force Microscope)

  • 본 연구에서는 AFM 양극산화법을 이용하여 서브마이크로 수준의 패턴을 구성하였다. 자기조립법으로 제조한 MPTMS/Si(100) 기질 위에 AFM 양극산화법으로 패턴을 형성하였고, 비에칭법을 이용하여 아민그룹을 지닌 기능기를 고정시켰다. 금속전극으로는 Frens 방법으로 제조한 금나노입자를 이용하였다. 금속이온의 흡착에 따른 전도도는 근거리의 경우 coherent tunneling에 의존하지만, 원거리 전극에서는 incoherent tunneling에 의존한다. 전극의 간격이 가까울수록 저항이 감소하여 센서의 감도와 최소검출능을 개선할 수 있었다. 또한 다중기능성을 부여하여 센서의 선택도를 부여하였으며, 패턴의 크기에 따른 최소검출농도를 낮출 수 있음을 확인하였다.

현미(玄米)의 도정(搗精) 및 취반(炊飯) 과정중 BHC 잔류분(殘留分)의 제거(除去) (Elimination of BHC Residues in the Polishing and Cooking Processes of Brown Rice)

  • BHC를 살포하여 재배한 현미(玄米)(BHC잔류량 0.3 ppm)의 도정(搗精), 세미(洗米), 및 취반(炊飯)중 BHC 잔류량(殘留量)을 분석하여 그의 행방을 추적한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 현미의 도정(搗精)중 BHC는 10분도미에서 8%, 7분도미에서 20%가 잔류하였다. 2) 쌀의 세척(洗滌)중 10분도미에서는 34%, 7분도미에서는 31%가 잔류하였다. 3) 재래식 취반(炊飯)과 전기밥솥에 의한 취반중 10분도미에서는 각각 86%, 77%, 7분도미에서는 각각 69%, 41%가 잔류하였다. 4) 전체적으로 보아 현미로부터 밥으로의 BHC 이행률(移行率)은 10분도미에서 2.3%, 7분도미에서 4.3%에 불과하였다. 따라서 현미의 조리(調理), 가공(加工)중 발생되는 BHC의 제거량(除去量)을 잔류농약 허용량(許容量)설정에 반영(反映)하여 야 될 것이다.

  • The present work is an attempt to provide an overview, about the status of R&D and current trends in Hydrogen Production using High Temperature Reactors. Bibliographic references from the INIS database, the Science Direct database and the NTIS database were downloaded and analyzed. Ten year data on the subject, published between 2001 and 2010, was selected for the study. Appropriate qued ry formulations on these databases, resulted in the retrieval of 621 unique bibliographic records. Using the content analysis method, all the records were analyzed. Part One of the analysis details Scientometric R&D indicators, Part Two is a subject-based analysis, grouped under: A. International Initiatives and Programmes for Hydrogen Production; B. European R&D initiatives for Hydrogen production; C. National Initiatives and Programmes for Nuclear Hydrogen Production; D. Reactor Technologies for Nuclear Hydrogen production; E. Fuel Developments; F. Hydrogen Production Processes using HTRs and G. Materials Consideration for Nuclear Hydrogen Production. The results of this analysis are summarized in the study.

  • Microstructural design of ceramics has generally focused on information gathered at the micro- and macro-scales and related this to how specific properties could be improved. Ceramic processing serves as the key to optimizes the final microstructure. However, the advent of nano-scale microstructures and highly advanced characterization tools are forcing us to develop new knowledge of what is occurring not just at the micro-scale but also at the atomic level. Thus we are now beginning to be able to address how microstructure is influenced by events at the atomic scale using atomic scale images and data. Theoreticians have joined us in interpreting the mechanisms involved in the "microstructural" evolution at multiple scales and how this can be used to enhance specific properties of ceramics. The focus here is on delving into the various layers the "microstructure" in order understand how atomic-scale events influence the structure and properties of ceramics.

  • To utilize the uranium resources contained in the spent nuclear fuel generated from the nuclear power plants, the remote handling and dismantling technology is required. The dismantling process of the sport fuel is the most common process involved in the spent fuel recycling, the rod consolidation and the disposal processes. Since the machine used in the dismantling process are located and operated in isolated space, so called a hot cell, the reliability of machines is very important. To enhance the reliability of the process, in this research, the graphical monitoring system is developed for the fuel dismantling process. The graphic model of each machine is composed of many parts and every parts of the graphic model are given their own kinematics.   • The alumina-aluminum solid-liquid interfaces were directly observed at atomic scale by heating the alumina single crystal in high-voltage electron microscope (HVEM) owing to the electron beam damage processes, Atomic ordering in the first several layers of the liquid was clearly resolved adjacent to the alumina surface and its relevance to the single crystal growth was examined with the real-time observations.

  • Monte Carlo neutron transport codes generally use the method of successive generations to converge the fission source distribution to-and then maintain it at-the fundamental mode. Recently, a phenomenon called "clustering" has been noted, which produces fission distributions that are very far from the fundamental mode. In this study, a mathematical model of clustering in Monte Carlo has been developed. The model draws on previous work for continuous-time birth-death processes, as well as methods from the field of population genetics.

  • A computer simulation code of UV preionized discharge KrF laser is developed, including time dependent circuit equations, boltzmann equations, and plasma kinetic equations for various atomic and molecular species. Rate constants for electron collision processes are calculated with a boltzmann equations as a function of E/N. In this study, we studied mainly the $KrF^*$ formation process, relaxation process, and the 248nm absorption process as a function of charging voltage.
