Computer-assisted Karyotyping System of Giemsa Stained Chromosomes (염색체 자동분류 시스템의 구현)

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of personal computer assisted karyotyping system of Giemsa stained chromosomes. The system consists of an Image Acquisition Module being capable of $256 {\times} 256$ pixels and its relevent software modules optimized for karyotyping. The results of karyotyping using this system with an image of chromosomes taken from the Rana Amurensis are acceptable. As a result of this study we can save our load oweing to the conventional hand- karyotyping and the high-cost computer.

  • A Study on Computer Assisted Diagnosis (CAD) system extract ing lung cancer part from Digital X-ray Computerized Tomography(CT) image is discussed in this paper. It is very crucial to segment the image of lung into the three organ area such as inside, outside and the hilum so that the variant image processing algorithm can be applied an each area respectively. In this paper, the efficient algorithm extracting lung cancer part is proposed with characterizing lung hilum part and its associated vessel patterns.

  • A sputtering-assisted magnetic field system was successfully developed for depositing crystalline Cu thin films at room temperature. This system employs a plasma source and an ion-beam gun with two magnetic field generators, which is covered with sputtering target and the ion-beam gun, simultaneously serving as sputtering plasma and a magnetic field generator. The formation of crystalline Cu thin films at room temperature was dominated by magnetic fields, which was revealed by preliminary experiments. This system can be employed for producing crystalline metal thin films at room temperature.

  • In this experiment, MgO thin films were deposited by oxygen neutral beam assisted deposition (NBAD) method. The results show that neutral beam energy plays an important role in the surface morphology, crystal orientation, defects of MgO thin films, and discharge characteristics of AC PDP.

  • Despite of the low productivity, the manual programming for NC machining is still widly used because of it's economical reasons. In this study, the computer assisted manual programming system CAMP which assits the efficient verification of MCD(Machine Control Data) is presented. The system can detect sysntax errors, graphically display tool motions and eventually diagnose programming techniques. The case study is applied for the NC turning operations.

  • LTE Licensed-Assisted Access(LAA)는 3GPP에서 진행되고 있는 비면허대역을 활용하여 LTE 시스템을 동작시키는 표준기술이다. LTE-LAA의 필요성과 표준의 진화 과정을 알아보고, Listen-Before-Talk(LBT) 등 핵심 표준기술들을 소개하였고, 특히, WiFi 등 기존의 비면허대역에서 동작하는 시스템과의 공정한 공존(fair coexistence)를 위해 어떠한 노력이 이루어졌는지를 중점적으로 살펴보았다. 마지막으로, 현재 3GPP 표준에서 논의되는 enhanced LAA를 통해 비면허대역을 활용하는 LTE 시스템 기술의 진화를 전망해 보았다.

  • The iterative learning control synthesized in the frequency domain has been utilized for temperature control of a batch reactor. For this purpose, a feedback-assisted generalized learning control scheme was constructed first, and the convergence and robustness analyses were conducted in the frequency domain. The feedback-assisted learning operation was then implemented in a bench scale batch reactor where reaction heat is simulated using an electric heater. As a result, progressive reduction of temperature control error could be obviously observed as batch operation is repeated.

  • 최근 광섬유의 전송 용량을 효율적으로 극대화하기 위한 방안으로서 파장 분할 다중화 (WDM: Wavelength Division Multiplexing) 방식의 광통신 시스템이 제안되어 사용되고 있다. WDM 시스템에서는 각 채널 (channel) 마다 각기 다른 파장의 광신호가 할당되어 있기 때문에, 여러 파장이 다중화된 광신호에서 원하는 파장의 광신호를 선택하기 위해서는 파장 선택 필터 (wavelength selective filter) 가 필요하다. 격자 보조 동방향 결합기 (GACC: Grating-Assisted Codirectional Coupler) 는 전파 상수(propagation constant) 가 서로 다른 두 도파로 사이에서의 광파워 교환이 파장에 의존하는 특성을 가지고 있기 때문에 WDM 시스템에 응용될 파장 선택 필터로서 많은 연구가 되어 왔다$^{(1),(2)}$ .
