이진트리의 최소선형배열 알고리즘 (Algorithm for Minimum Linear Arrangement(MinLA) of Binary Tree)

  • 이진트리의 최소 선형 배열(MinLA) 문제의 해는 선형 복잡도 O(n)의 근사 알고리즘으로 구하고 있으며, k = 10에 대해 다양한 근사 알고리즘 수행 결과가 제시되어 있고, 단지 2개 알고리즘만이 최적 해 3,696을 얻었다. 본 논문은 이진트리의 정확한 해를 O(n) 복잡도로 구하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 먼저, n = 2k - 1개 노드들에 중위 탐색(in-order search) 방법으로 번호를 부여하고, 2 ≤ 𝑙 ≤ k-2, (k = 5)와 2 ≤ 𝑙 ≤ k-3, (k = 6) 레벨에 존재하는 노드들에 대해 단 노드 자식들까지의 범위를 대상으로 번호를 재배열하는 방법을 적용하였다. 제안된 알고리즘을 k=5,6,7에 적용한 결과 Chung[14]의 S(k)min=2k-1+4+S(k-1)min+2S(k-2)min 이론을 증명하였으며, S(5)min에 대해서는 Chung[14]의 60보다 좋은 58을 얻었다. 또한, 기존의 근사 알고리즘들은 배열 결과를 제시하지 않고 있는데 비해 제안된 알고리즘은 정확한 배열 방법도 제시하는 장점을 갖고 있다. 따라서 제안된 알고리즘은 k > 10인 이진트리에 대해서도 항상 빠르게 최적의 해를 얻을 수 있기 때문에 기존의 근사 알고리즘을 적용하지 않아도 된다.

챗GPT를 활용한 기록관리 메타데이터 추출 사례연구 (A Case Study on Metadata Extractionfor Records Management Using ChatGPT)

  • 기록관리에서 메타데이터는 기록을 구성하는 필수 요소 중 하나로 기록물을 적절하게 관리하고 이해하도록 하는데 매우 중요한 역할을 한다. 기록관리 업무에서 메타데이터 요소들의 자동 부여가 불가능할 경우에는 기록전문가가 메타데이터 값을 직접 입력해야 한다. 이러한 업무의 불편함을 개선하기 위해 본 연구에서는 신기술인 챗GPT를 활용하여 기록관리 메타데이터 요소의 추출 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 챗GPT 기술을 활용하기 위해 파이썬 프로그램과 랭체인 라이브러리를 이용하여 PDF 문서를 제시하고 질문을 통해 기록물의 메타데이터를 추출해보았고, 챗GPT 온라인 서비스를 통해 여러 건의 PDF 문서를 첨부하여 기록물의 메타데이터 요소를 추출해보았다. 그 결과 챗GPT-3.5 turbo를 사용한 랭체인에서는 보안상으로는 안전한 추출 방법이긴 하나 메타데이터의 정확한 요소를 얻기에는 다소 한계가 있었고, 챗GPT-4 온라인 서비스에서는 보안상 중요 문서를 첨부할 수 없지만 비교적 정확한 결과를 추출하였다. 이를 통해 기록관리에서의 메타데이터 추출을 위한 챗GPT 기술 활용의 가능성을 타진할 수 있었고, 챗GPT 관련 기술의 발달에 따라 좀 더 안전하고 정확한 결과 추출이 가능해질 것이다. 이러한 챗GPT의 장점을 활용함으로써 기록관에서 기록 및 메타데이터의 관리적 측면에서 업무의 효율성 및 생산성을 증대시키는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

교통카드 기반자료를 활용한 복합대중교통망 구축 및 경로탐색 방안 연구 (A Methodology of Multimodal Public Transportation Network Building and Path Searching Using Transportation Card Data)

  • 도시의 교통문제 증가로 대중교통의 중요성과 역할에 대한 인식이 높아져가고 있다. 이러한 패러다임의 변화에 반해 기존 대중교통 통행배정과 관련한 연구는 여러 측면에서 한계가 있다. 복합대중교통망의 경우, 독립수단으로 이루어지는 도로교통과는 달리 수단간 환승, 운행시간 스케줄, 대기시간, 통행요금과 같은 복잡하고 다양한 특성을 포함하기 때문에 그 분석의 어려움은 배가 될 수밖에 없다. 특히, 수도권 대중교통 통합 환승할인제의 시행에 따른 대중교통 수단간 환승통행의 증가와 이에 따른 경로선택의 변화로 대중교통의 통행행태가 변하고 있으나, 기존의 대중교통교통망 구축방법으로는 이러한 변화를 반영하기에는 한계가 있다. 최근 첨단기술의 발달에 따라 대중교통이용자의 통행정보가 실시간으로 기록되는 첨단교통카드체계가 구축 운영 중에 있다. 이러한 첨단기술의 도입은 복합대중교통망 분석에 대한 새로운 접근방법에 대한 연구를 가능하게 하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 교통카드자료의 통행정보를 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 대중교통망을 구축하기 위해 정류장의 위치정보와 노선정보를 활용해서 새로운 복합대중교통망을 구축하는 방안을 다음과 같이 제시하였다. 첫째, 교통카드자료의 통행정보를 활용하기 위하여 정류장 기반의 통합교통망을 구축하는 방안을 제시하였다. 둘째, 컴퓨터 기반의 프로그래밍기법을 활용한 단절된 링크의 연결방안을 통해 대중교통의 환승문제를 해결하고자 하였다. 마지막으로, 복합대중교통망의 경로탐색에 있어 가장 큰 문제가 되는 다수단간의 경로탐색에 대한 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 방안으로 복합교통망을 구축할 경우, 기존 정류장 좌표와 대중교통의 노선정보를 그대로 활용하여 교통망을 구축할 수 있어 교통망 구축이 쉬울 뿐만 아니라, 환승링크 연결과 같은 별도의 교통망 작업 없이도 대규모 교통망에서의 활용이 가능해 진다.

햄릿 공연을 위한 무대의상 디자인 (II) - 패턴 및 실물제작 - (Stage Costume Design for Performance Hamlet (II) - The Study on Pattern and Manufactured Product -)

  • This research proposes the on-stage costumes for the play Hamlet of Shakespeare performed by Yunheedan Guhri Pae - the Street Theater Troupe. Stage costumes have an important role in displaying the characteristics of each characters to the audience and has big visual effects. However, in order to design the costumes in the object viewpoints of the audience, the survey on the images of the characters who had actually watched the performance was taken place and proposed the costume design according to the results of the survey. Hamlet a: This result was applied to propose a sweater in black color, black leather pants and vest. Hamlet b: This result was applied to propose hooded coat in purple in middle level of brightness and color spectrum and yellow coat. For free image, loose pants in blue and vest in the same color tone were proposed. Gertrude a: This result was applied to use purple (violet) with reddish tone to propose the formation of a dress applying tailored suit. Gertrude b: This result was applied to propose purple gown and the one-piece dress with black laces. Ophelia a: This result was applied to propose feminine white dress and cape in purple color tone. Ophelia b: This result was applied to propose dyed and weaved clothes. Through the surveys as above, the images of each character was driven in adjectives, and using the results driven from the brightness, coloration, and color, color images were proposed. Only one costume cannot make up for the stage costumes and because it exists as an element of stage production, it is true that costumes are limited in some areas. However, that limit can become the motive of the costume. There is a limit, which the designer cannot produce the costumes as he or she had designed but I believe it is the center of the on-stage customers to display the characteristics of the characters according to the given concept. The limit of this research is the fact that because the costumes were designed so they fit the conditions already given, thus it was difficult to regard the process of designing and producing the costume as a project done according to the interaction. And in the future, if it is possible, I wish for the joint research with the people responsible for stage art to take place as a practical stage art. It was possible to produce practical costume since they were produced for actual performance and the production of costumes considering the dance steps, line of flow, and acting, was able to reduce the trial and error on stage. Through this research, I felt that the understanding and smooth interaction on diverse other areas not limited to the costume design should be taken place and believe that this was a research that proposes new research method since there had been only a few previous research regarding the on-stage costumes for actual performances. Therefore, this research had depended on the surveys given to the audiences to endow objectivity, however, I wish this research can contribute to defining effective process and methods for the on-stage costumes with more active researches with diverse methods and in diverse areas. I am sorry that the costume production for all the characters and all the scenes in Hamlet couldn't be done due to many limitations. As the following research assignment, I am planning on designing the costumes for all the scenes.

Comparison of Cognitive Loads between Koreans and Foreigners in the Reading Process

  • Objective: This study aims to measure cognitive load levels by analyzing the EEG of Koreans and foreigners, when they read a Korean text with care selected by level from the grammar and vocabulary aspects, and compare the cognitive load levels through quantitative values. The study results can be utilized as basic data for more scientific approach, when Korean texts or books are developed, and an evaluation method is built, when the foreigners encounter them for learning or an assignment. Background: Based on 2014, the number of the foreign students studying in Korea was 84,801, and they increase annually. Most of them are from Asian region, and they come to Korea to enter a university or a graduate school in Korea. Because those foreign students aim to learn within Universities in Korea, they receive Korean education from their preparation for study in Korea. To enter a university in Korea, they must acquire grade 4 or higher level in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK), or they need to complete a certain educational program at each university's affiliated language institution. In such a program, the learners of the Korean language receive Korean education based on texts, except speaking domain, and the comprehension of texts can determine their academic achievements in studying after they enter their desired schools (Jeon, 2004). However, many foreigners, who finish a language course for the short-term, and need to start university study, cannot properly catch up with university classes requiring expertise with the vocabulary and grammar levels learned during the language course. Therefore, reading education, centered on a strategy to understand university textbooks regarded as top level reading texts to the foreigners, is necessary (Kim and Shin, 2015). This study carried out an experiment from a perspective that quantitative data on the readers of the main player of reading education and teaching materials need to be secured to back up the need for reading education for university study learners, and scientifically approach educational design. Namely, this study grasped the difficulty level of reading through the measurement of cognitive loads indicated in the reading activity of each text by dividing the difficulty of a teaching material (book) into eight levels, and the main player of reading into Koreans and foreigners. Method: To identify cognitive loads indicated upon reading Korean texts with care by Koreans and foreigners, this study recruited 16 participants (eight Koreans and eight foreigners). The foreigners were limited to the language course students studying the intermediate level Korean course at university-affiliated language institutions within Seoul Metropolitan Area. To identify cognitive load, as they read a text by level selected from the Korean books (difficulty: eight levels) published by King Sejong Institute (Sejonghakdang.org), the EEG sensor was attached to the frontal love (Fz) and occipital lobe (Oz). After the experiment, this study carried out a questionnaire survey to measure subjective evaluation, and identified the comprehension and difficulty on grammar and words. To find out the effects on schema that may affect text comprehension, this study controlled the Korean texts, and measured EEG and subjective satisfaction. Results: To identify brain's cognitive load, beta band was extracted. As a result, interactions (Fz: p =0.48; Oz: p =0.00) were revealed according to Koreans and foreigners, and difficulty of the text. The cognitive loads of Koreans, the readers whose mother tongue is Korean, were lower in reading Korean texts than those of the foreigners, and the foreigners' cognitive loads became higher gradually according to the difficulty of the texts. From the text four, which is intermediate level in difficulty, remarkable differences started to appear in comparison of the Koreans and foreigners in the beginner's level text. In the subjective evaluation, interactions were revealed according to the Koreans and foreigners and text difficulty (p =0.00), and satisfaction was lower, as the difficulty of the text became higher. Conclusion: When there was background knowledge in reading, namely schema was formed, the comprehension and satisfaction of the texts were higher, although higher levels of vocabulary and grammar were included in the texts than those of the readers. In the case of a text in which the difficulty of grammar was felt high in the subjective evaluation, foreigners' cognitive loads were also high, which shows the result of the loads' going up higher in proportion to the increase of difficulty. This means that the grammar factor functions as a stress factor to the foreigners' reading comprehension. Application: This study quantitatively evaluated the cognitive loads of Koreans and foreigners through EEG, based on readers and the text difficulty, when they read Korean texts. The results of this study can be used for making Korean teaching materials or Korean education content and topic selection for foreigners. If research scope is expanded to reading process using an eye-tracker, the reading education program and evaluation method for foreigners can be developed on the basis of quantitative values.

도시 내 자연형 하천 조성을 위한 적정 공간기능 배분과 조성방안 연구 - 서울시 서대문구 홍제천을 사례로 - (A Study on the Construction Methods and the Distribution of Proper Spatial Function for Restoring Urban Streams into Close-to-Nature Streams - A Case Study of Hongjecheon(Stream) in Seodaemun-Gu, Seoul -)

  • 본 연구는 도시 하천의 자연형 하천 조성을 목표로 도시 하천에 요구되는 이용기능, 생태기능, 경관기능에 대하여 평가를 실시하여 각 공간에 적합한 공간기능을 설정하고, 이에 적합한 조성 방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상지는 서울특별시 서대문구에 위치한 홍제천으로 유로연장은 총 6.12km이며, 2003년 말부터 자연형 하천 조성 계획을 수립하여 정비가 완료되었다. 평가 항목 및 지표는 총 3단계를 거쳐서 선정하였다. 먼저 문헌 검색을 통하여 하천 및 공원 평가 기준을 설정하고, 도시 하천 특성을 나타내는 지표를 추가하였다. 다음으로 목표 적합성, 지표 검증, 유사 항목 병합의 단계를 거쳐 최종 평가 항목 및 지표를 선정하였다. 최종 평가 항목은 이용기능에서 이용요구도, 이용편의성, 생태기능에서 생물다양성, 생물 서식 잠재성, 희귀성, 경관기능에서 역사 문화요소 및 경관성으로 선정되었다. 구간별 평가 결과, 이용요구도가 높게 평가된 구간 1~4는 시민휴양지구, 주요녹지와의 거리가 가깝고 하천 고유성이 남아있는 구간 5~6은 생태보전 복원지구, 이용요구도가 높고, 이용편의성이 좋은 구간 7~8은 하천 연속성을 고려하여 자연이용지구, 역사 문화자원 및 조망점이 다수 분포하고, 녹시율이 높은 구간 9~10은 하천경관지구로 설정되었고, 각 구간별로 세부 공간기능과 조성방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 제시한 공간기능 배분 결과, 하천의 자연적 특성과 함께 인문 사회적 특성, 주변의 경관적 특성이 반영된 공간기능 배분이 이루어져 도시 하천에 요구되는 여러 가지 기능들에 대한 합리적인 공간계획에 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

작업기반 지역사회 재활이 뇌졸중 재가 장애인의 일상생활과 작업수행 기술에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Occupation-Based Community Rehabilitation for Improving Occupational Performance Skills and Activity Daily Living of Stroke Home Disabled People: A Single Subject Design)

  • 목적 : 지역사회에서 생활하는 뇌졸중 장애인을 대상으로 작업기반 지역사회 재활이 뇌졸중 장애인의 작업수행기술에 미치는 영향을 연구하고, 작업 수행의 질과 만족도 변화에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 단일대상연구(Single subject research) 중 ABA 설계를 사용하였고, 뇌졸중 진단을 받은 심한 장애인 1명을 선정하였다. 연구 과정은 2019년 5월 21일부터 2019년 9월 7일까지 17주간 총 25회기(기초선 A 5회기, 중재 기간 B 14회기, 기초선 기간 A' 5회기, 추적 기간 1회기)로 진행하였다. 중재는 연구자가 대상자의 집으로 방문하여 진행되었다. 작업치료중재과정모델에 따라 중재 모델 선정 및 적용하였으며, 중재에는 과제 제공 및 피드백, 관련 정보 교육, 가정환경 수정, 지역자원 연계가 포함되었다. 작업기반 지역사회 재활 프로그램을 적용한 이후 일상생활에서 작업수행기술의 빈도 변화, 작업수행 만족도, 일상생활활동과 삶의 질의 변화를 알아보았으며, 추적 관찰하였다. 결과는 선형그래프와 막대그래프를 이용하여 시각적으로 분석하였다. 결과 : 작업기반 지역사회 재활 프로그램을 적용했을 때, 손 닿는 곳의 상의 입기, 침대에서 양말과 실내화 신기, 의자에 앉아 신발 신기 기술과 일상생활활동이 향상되었다. 작업수행기술 평가 결과 대상자의 작업수행 기술의 질이 향상되었음을 확인하였으며, 작업수행 만족도 또한 향상되었다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통해 작업기반 지역사회 재활 프로그램이 지역사회에 거주하는 뇌졸중 장애인의 작업수행기술을 향상할 수 있으며, 일상생활활동과 삶의 질, 작업수행 만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 마지막으로 뇌졸중 대상자 뿐만 아니라 지역사회에 거주하는 장애 유형별로 작업기반 지역사회 재활 프로그램이 보편화 되기를 기대해 본다.

임상간호 실습교육의 교수효율성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Teaching Effectiveness on Clinical Nursing Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to contribute to the development of clinical instruction by students' ratings of teaching effectiveness in clinical nursing education. The subjects were comprised of graduating class 618 students from 24 nursing colleges in the nation. The instruments used in this study were "general characteristics & status of clinical nursing education" developed by the researcher and "Instrument to Measure Effectiveness of Clinical Instructors" by Reeve(1994). The 50 questions used in the questionaire were categorized into 13 components subject to factor analysis. The 13 components were interpersonal relationships, communication skills, role model, resource for students, favorable to students, encouraging to think for selves, teaching methods, evaluation, finding assignments for objectives, organization of subject matter, professional competence, knowledge of subject matter & working with agency personnel. The results of this study are as follows 1. Status of clinical nursing educaion : 1) Clinical nursing education were led by nursing professors(44.9%), a team of both nuring professor & head nurse(6.8%), instructors from specific hospital(15.1%), instuctos for a specific subject(14.6%), & head nurse(6.8%). For 3-year program students, 34.6% of the clinical nursing education were led by instructors from specific hospital & 51.4% of the education by nursing professors for Bachelor's program. 2) The contents for clinical education comprised of Conference being the most frequent of 34.5% ; a combination of Nursing skills, Orientation, Conference etc.22.0% : Nursing process 21.7% : Orientation 13.5% : Inspection(making rounds ) 6.4%, & Nursing skills of 2% being the least frequent. 3) Students' preference of clinical teachers from the highest to the lowest were instructors for a specific subject being the most desired (44.9%) followed by nursing professor, head nurse, a team of both nursing professor & head nurse, & instructors from specific hospital being the least desired. 4) Students felt that the qualification for clinical teachers should be at least a master's degree holder and 5 or more years of clinical experience. The reason they felt was because knowledge & experience are imperative for professional education. 2. Clinical teaching effectiveness : The total points for teaching effectiveness was 147.97(mean of 2.95±0.98) where the total score is considered to be an average rating. 3. Teaching effectiveness as status of clinical nursing education : 1) The score ratings for the clinical instructors from the highest to the lowest were as follows : instructors for a specific subject, instructors from specific hospitals, a team of both nursing professors & head nurses, nursing professors, head nurses, which resulted in significunt difference(F=4.53, P<0.001). 2) The rating scores based on the teaching program from the highest to the lowest were as follws ; nursing skills, nursing process, a combination of nursing skills, orientation, conference etc. , conferences, orientation, inspection, which resulted in significunt difference(F=10.97, P<0.001). 4. Based on 13 categorized components from the questionaires, questions related to communication skills scored the highest points of 3.20 where inquiries regarding resource for students scored the lowest points of 2.38. 5. Among the 13 categorial components from the questionaire, Interpersonal relationship, Communication skills, Resource for students, Encouraging to think for selves, Evaluation, Teaching method, Finding assignment for objectives, Organization of subject matter, Professional competence, & Working with agency personnel, instructors for a specific subject scored the highest points and head nurse scored the lowest, which resulted in significant difference. Favorable for students, instructors for a specific subject scored highest points and nursing professor scored the lowest, which resulted in significant deference (F=5.39, P<0.001). Role model & Professional competence, instructors for a specific subject scored the highest points and head nurse scored the lowest, with minimum variation(F=1.29, P>0.05 : F=1.64, P>0.05) 6. Based on 13 categorial components as a whole, the highest points scored among the 5 groups of clinical teachers was instructors for a specific subject and the lowest, by head nurse(F=1.94, P<0. 001). A team of both nursing professor & head nurse attained higher score in clinical education than their independent education.

  • 이전고환극구흡충(Echinostomn cinetorchis) 유약충 및 성충의 표피 미세구조를 주사전자현미경으로 관찰하였다. 실험적으로 미라시디움을 감염시킨 또아리물달팽이 (Hippeutis cantari)에서 피낭유충을 얻어 횐쥐에 경구 감염시킨 다음 3일(유약충) 및 16일(성충)에 각각 충체를 회수하였다. 회수한 충체를 2.5% glutaraldehyde 용액에 고정하고 탈수, 댕동 건조 및 순금 표면처리 후 주사전자현미경으로 관찰하였다 감염 3일의 유약충은 충체가 길쭉하며 복측으로 만곡되어 있었고 복흡반이 충체 전방 215 지점에 위치하였다 두관에는 모두 37∼38개의 두극이 중단없이 지그재그형으로 배열되어 있었다. 구흡반 및 복흡반의 구순에는 각각 8개 및 5개의 제 R형 감각유두가 일정한 간격으로 배열되어 있었고, 피극들 사이에 제 해형 감각유두가 드물게 관찰되었다. 복홉반 전방의 피극들은 혀 또는 삽 모양, 후방의 피극들은 송곳 모양이었고, 후방으로 갈수록 밀도가 낮았다. 충체 배면의 피극들은 복면의 것들과 비슷하였으나, 후방 113 지점부터는 피극이 분포하지 않았다. 감염 16일의 성충은 나뭇잎 모양이며, 구흡반과 복홉반이 매우 근접하여 있었다. 두관, 구흡반 및 복흡반 등 피극이 분포하지 않는 곳에는 제 E형 및 제 여형 감각유두가 분포하였고, 피극이 분포하는 표피에는 제 I형 감각유두가 1∼4개씩 군(group)을 형성하고 있었다. 복흡반 전방에는 비늘 모양의 피극들이 밀생해 있었고, 후방으로 갈수록 감소하였다. 배면 전방에는 피극이 드물게 분포 하나 후방에서는 피극이 관찰되지 않았다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때, 이전고환극구흡충은 두극의 수, 배열, 피극의 형태, 분포, 감각유두의 종류, 분포 등에 있어서 다른 극구흡충류와 다른 점이 많으며, 유약충에서 성충으로 발육함에 따라 피극과 원형질 돌기의 분화는 물론 감각유두의 종류, 분 포 등이 달라짐을 알 수 있었다. 항체는 43 kDa, N( 137 항체는 29 kDa에 해당되는 분획에서 항원항체반응을 나타내었다. 이상의 성적을 종합하면 N. fowleri에 대한 7종류의 IgG., IgG3 및 IgA 단세포군 항체를 생산하였다. 그중 Nf 256 항체를 제외한 6 종류는 N. fowleri이 세포막 성분중 28 kDa-43 kDa의 항원과 반응하는 특이한 항체임을 관찰할 수 있었다. 또한 이 단세포를 항체들은 영양형을 응집시키며, 시험관 내에서의 증식을 억제시키고 CHO 세포에 대한 N. fowleri의 세포 독성을 저하시키는 성질을 가지고 있음을 알 수 있었다.들 중에서 최적의 기종점 통행표를 발견하는 것이다. 따라서 교통망에서 통행자의 여행 경로 배정을 가장 잘 반영할 수 있는 현실적인(Realistic) 교통망 통행 배정 모형(Net-work Traffic Assignment Model)의 선택은 중요한 요소가 되며 특히 교통망에 교통체증(Traffic Conges-tion)이 심할 경우 교통망 통행자 평형조건(Network Traffic Equilibrium Condition)을 고려하기 위한 특별한 처리가 요구되어진다. 본 연구는 Whllumsen(Hall, Van Vliet and Willumsen, 1980)에 의하여 개발된 ME2(Maximum Entropy Matrix Estimation)기법에서 반복식 추정방법(Sequential Estimation Method)을 사용할 경우 Wardrop의 평형조건을 만족하는 기종점 통행표를 구할 수 없다는 단점을 극복하기 위한 방안으로서 엔트로피 극대화문제와 교통망 평형 조건(Entropy Maximisation and Network Equilibrium Condition)의 두 문제를 동시에 해결할 수 있는 새로운 수식모형과 이를 풀기 위한 알고리즘(Simultaneous Solution Algorithm)을 제의하였다. 제의된 수식모형과

실험대학 과제도서실 운영에 관한 조사연구 (A Research Survey on the Reserved Book System of Pilot Universities in Korea)

  • This is a survey of the reserved book system in the pilot universities in Korea. We have surveyed only 22 university libraries among 29 pilot schools as of 1977, because of the differences in the library users, library organization, library facilities, and library materials between universities and colleges. In 1972, the Korean Ministry of Education developed a reformation plan for their higher education based on the teaching method of curriculum-oriented faculty instead of that of the faculty-oriented curriculum. The former puts emphasis on the cultivation of a student's thinking, creativity, and judgement through self-teaching to do a given assignment. The reserved book system in a college or university library is one of the most important methods necessary to accomplish the above educational aim. The survey used a questionnaire with 50 question on 28 items concerning the various aspects of the reserved book system in 22 pilot universities. the survey result discovered many problems needing correction. The following list describes the measures needed to correct the problems found in the pilot universities. 1. The management of a centralized reserved book system is much more effective and economical than the decentralized reserved book system when a university is located on the same campus. 2. In the university library, an independent reserved book department requires to gain the desired educational aims as compared with the reserved book room controlled by any other department in the library. 3. The reserved book system should not be adopted by all the departments at once but enlarged gradually, for it needs the understanding and support of faculty members and the university itself. 4. As competence is essential to the effective operation of the reserved book room, the university library should not place an unqualified person in charge of the reserved book department. 5. The librarian in charge of the reserved book department is required to do more professional works such as analysis of users, collection and analysis of syllabuses, maintenance of faculty member cooperation, establishment of measures to acquire unavailable materials, and drawing up an effective management plan. However, he is spending most of his time in clerical works, that is, non-professional works. 6. Three to five titles of each reserved book are considered reasonable and required materials should be shelved in proportion to the number of students, that is, one copy per eight or ten students if the materials are allowed to lend for two hours at a time. For the supplementary materials, the library needs to place two or three copies per subject. 7. Professors must select reserved books with care so that they can be used year after year. 8. Few universities are asking professors the number of class students and the date when the reserved material will no longer be needed on reserve. 9. The library should gather all the lists of reserved books from every professor at least three to five months before the courses open, because it takes a long time to obtain foreign materials. 10. It is desirable that the reserved book department should collect the lists and prepare the materials with promptness and consistency. 11. Instead of block buying, it is desirable to purchase reserved books at the time the library gets the reserved book list from the professors. The library should also inform faculty members whether it obtained each reserved book or not before the course open. 12. The library should make a copy of materials if a professor requires to reserve an out-of-print book or partial contents of a book, journal, and thesis. 13. An independent budger for reserved books from the budget for general materials is desired. 14. The shelf arrangement of reserved books by courses or professors under the same department is much more preferable than a classified arrangement. 15. While most of the universities adopted the open shelves system for all the reserved books, it is more effective and economical to take a compromise system, that is, closed shelves for requires materials and open shelves for supplementary materials. 18. Circulation of reserved books needs a different system between required materials and supplementary materials: two or three hours and/or overnight loan for the former and two and/or three days loan for the latter. 17. A reserved book room should be open a long time after class so that students can have sufficient time to use the room. 18. The library must take daily and monthly statistic as well as statistics on every aspect of the reserved book system in order that the library ma decide on policy and management of the reserved book room in collaboration with the university. Furthermore, regular reports on the use of the reserved book room should be made to the president and the executive council by the library to acquire their understanding and cooperation for the reserved book system. 19. Cooperation of faculty members is indispensable to the effective management of the reserved book department and it is desirable to make a committee which will fix various decisions about the system. Whenever the director of the library make his decision, he must consult with his staff in order to involve them earnestly in the operation of the system.
