  • This paper reports on the development of the gripping system for automation of phone-camera module assembling. If manual assembling is shifted by automation, it will increase the fabrication speed and reduce the defective rate. In the gripping mechanism design, we needs self-adjustable passive mechanism that minimize the number of the parts. The self-adjusting system compensates the positioning errors that have been made in translations. And also we need gripper system that can be modules of parts. That makes it easy to change or repair the parts. The forces put on the objects is another considerable in the system. It must not cause dropping, breakage, scratch, and large deformation. So final target of this reaseach is how to develop the system that is speedy, small, simple, and safe

  • Soil nailing system can be mentioned to a method of supporting as the shear strength of in-situ soils is increased by passive inclusions. In the general soil nailing system, facing walls are used in two kind of a lattice concrete block or a cast in placed concrete wall. A case of lattice concrete blocks is used in slow slopes greater than 1:0.7. Also, a case of a cast in placed concrete wall is used in steep slopes less than 1:0.5. The cast in placed concrete walls are constructed to 30cm thick together with a shotcrete facing. In this study, the assembling soil nailing method as a new soil nailing system is proposed. This method is constructed assembly using precast concrete panels. Therefore ability of the construction and quality of the facings can be modified than a usual soil nailing system. Also, this method can be obtained the effects that a global slope stability increase, as precast concrete panels is put on cutting face after excavating a slope.

  • This study attempted to figure out the usage of the modular system in other fields through literature review and empirical study, analyze its structural method in fashion. After analyzing architecture & product-related books, the Internet data and previous studies, the modular system's five structural methods were obtained. Then, 991 photos of women's clothes from 2003 to 2014 were collected through the fashion websites in Korea and abroad. The results can be summarized as follows: First, the following five structures were derived: assembling structure, overlapping structure, arrangement structure, inserting structure and folding structure. Second, according to analysis on the structural method of the modular system in modern fashion, overlapping structure (34%) was the most common. Third, in fashion, the use of fastener for installation and removal is important for assembling structure. In terms of overlapping structure, 3D volume by vertical accumulation was commonly observed. Arrangement structure revealed a horizontal and flat shape through simple arrangement. In inserting structure, on the contrary, non-standardized modules were used as a part of clothes or decorative elements. In folding structure, origami technique for reduction and expansion was used.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the analytic-assembling(faceted analysis) methods applied in enumerative-hierarchical classification schemes. (mainly in KDC) The methods are summarized as follows : 1. For the enumerative-hierarchical classification schemes, in principle the subjects are divided into subdivisions by only one facet at the same level, and step by step. However some subjects, for example 'library and information science' 'education' and others in KDC, are divided into subdivisions by multiple facets at same level like Colon Classification. 2. Most of enumerative-hierarchical classification schemes have various kinds of auxiliary tables, such as standard subdivisions, areas, periods, and languages. Each of them is considered as foci by a facet applied to subdivide all kinds of subjects or some special subjects into lower level. 3. To classify the compound subjects with phase relation, KDC provides ready-made classification numbers or notes that says 'divide by 001-999'(whole subjects) of 'divide by xxx-xxx'(limited scope of subjects). The ready-made compound subjects, or subdividing by whole or limited scope of subjects are similar to representation of phase relation in Colon Classification. Yet these analytic-assembling methods in KDC are needed to be supplemented and amended. Subdividing methods for faceted analysis have to be unified through the whole schedule. The auxiliary tables should be enlarged and subdivided more specifically. And for representation of phase relation, the linking signs can be useful in KDC as well as UDC and other analytic-assembling classification schemes like Colon Classification.

  • In this paper, we presents virtual lecture contents to study educational robots assembling focused on the beginners with little or no background about electronics. Considering the target students, we developed 'virtual laboratory' using flash animation and the students can assemble the robots virtually with mouse and keyboard. Also, the contents includes lectures about some basic electronics theories. electronic devices, and the electronics tools for the beginners. With the features described above, this contents would be useful for the beginners and elementary school students who want to assembling their own robots.

  • Liquid rocket engines (LREs) are very complex systems that include combustion chambers, turbopumps, gas generators, ducts and tubes, valves and etc. Most components of the LREs require higher than or equal to level 6 IT (ISO Tolerance). The components along with pipe line and/or tubing must dispose not to interfere each other. In addition, effectiveness of maintenance and service after assembling should be considered when the allocation of the components are determined. Especially at the stage of the development, tolerance accumulations or unpredictable errors may result in misalignment and/or mismatches at interfaces of the parts. Namely, it is the engine assembling process that many inherent risks are realized and crises or incidents occur. Therefore, a rapid reaction system should be prepared. In this research, 7 tonf class liquid rocket assembling process was studied and actual building steps were introduced.
