Application of the Artificial Neural Network to Damage Evaluations of a RC Mock-up Structure (구조물 손상평가를 위한 인공신경망의 RC Mock-up 적용 평가)

  • 구조물의 건전도를 평가하기 위해 상시 구조물 계측을 이용한 Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) 시스템을 적용하게 된다. SHM 시스템의 궁극적 목적은 계측된 데이터를 이용하여 구조물의 손상위치 및 손상정도를 분석하여 거주자에게 유지관리정보와 대처요령 신속하게 제공하는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 구조물의 손상탐지를 위해 인공신경망(Artificial Neural Network)을 도입한 알고리즘을 수립하고, 이를 3층 실대 RC Mock-up 구조물에 적용하여 성능을 평가하였다. 먼저 인공신경망의 학습을 위해 구조해석 프로그램을 이용하여 구조물의 손상에 따른 동적특성 변화 데이터베이스를 구축하였다. 그리고 학습된 인공망에 실제 구조물에서 추출한 동특성의 변화를 입력하여 손상탐지를 실시하였다. 이를 통해 인공신경망의 학습방법, 학습데이터의 정규화 방법 등을 규명하고 인공신경망을 이용한 손상탐지의 효과를 분석하였다.

Camera Calibration when the Accuracies of Camera Model and Data Are Uncertain (카메라 모델과 데이터의 정확도가 불확실한 상황에서의 카메라 보정)

  • Camera calibration is an important and fundamental procedure for the application of a vision sensor to 3D problems. Recently many camera calibration methods have been proposed particularly in the area of robot vision. However, the reliability of data used in calibration has been seldomly considered in spite of its importance. In addition, a camera model can not guarantee good results consistently in various conditions. This paper proposes methods to overcome such uncertainty problems of data and camera models as we often encounter them in practical camera calibration steps. By the use of the RANSAC (Random Sample Consensus) algorithm, few data having excessive magnitudes of errors are excluded. Artificial neural networks combined in a two-step structure are trained to compensate for the result by a calibration method of a particular model in a given condition. The proposed methods are useful because they can be employed additionally to most existing camera calibration techniques if needed. We applied them to a linear camera calibration method and could get improved results.

  • After IMF situation, the money market environment is changing rapidly. Therefore, many companies including financial institutions and many individual investors are concerned about forecasting the money market, and they make an effort to insure the various profit and hedge methods using derivatives like option, futures and swap. In this research, we developed a prototype of forecasting system for KOSPI 200 option, especially call option, trading using artificial neural networks(ANN), To avoid the overfitting problem and the problem involved int the choice of ANN structure and parameters, we employed the ANN ensemble approach. We conducted two types of simulation. One is conducted with the hold signals taken into account, and the other is conducted without hold signals. Even though our models show low accuracy for the sample set extracted from the data collected in the early stage of IMF situation, they perform better in terms of profit and stability than the model that uses only the theoretical price.

  • Aiming at the optimal placement of communication relay nodes (OPCRN) problem in manned/unmanned aerial vehicle cooperative engagement system, this paper designed a kind of fully connected broadband backbone communication topology. Firstly, problem description of OPCRN was given. Secondly, based on problem analysis, the element attributes and decision variables were defined, and a bi-level programming model including physical layer and logical layer was established. Thirdly, a hierarchical artificial bee colony (HABC) algorithm was adopted to solve the model. Finally, multiple sets of simulation experiments were carried out to prove the effectiveness and superiority of the algorithm.

  • In recent years, with the development of autonomous driving technology, high-performance artificial intelligence computing hardware platforms have been developed that can process multi-sensor data, object recognition, and vehicle control for autonomous vehicles. Most of these hardware platforms have been developed overseas, such as NVIDIA's DRIVE PX, Audi's zFAS, Intel GO, Mobile Eye's EyeQ, and BAIDU's Apollo Pilot. In Korea, however, ETRI's artificial intelligence computing platform has been developed. In this paper, we discuss the specifications, structure, performance, and development status centering on hardware platforms that support autonomous driving rather than the overall contents of autonomous driving technology.

  • 오픈 도메인 질의 응답에서 질의에 대한 답변은 질의에 대한 관련 문서를 검색한 다음 질의에 대한 답변을 포함할 수 있는 검색된 문서를 분석함으로써 얻어진다. 문서내의 테이블이 질의와 관련이 있을 수 있음에도 불구하고, 기존의 연구는 주로 문서의 텍스트 부분만을 검색하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있었다. 이에 테이블과 텍스트를 모두 고려하는 질의응답과 관련된 연구가 진행되었으나 테이블의 구조적 정보가 손실되는 등의 한계가 있었다. 본 연구에서는 테이블의 구조적 정보를 모델의 추가적인 임베딩을 통해 활용한 오픈 도메인 질의응답 시스템인 R3를 제안한다. R3는 오픈 도메인 질의 응답 데이터셋인 NQ에 기반한 새로운 데이터셋인 NQ-Open-Multi를 이용해 학습 및 평가하였으며, 테이블의 구조적 정보를 활용하지 않은 시스템에 비해 더 좋은 성능을 보임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The application of computer model to the port and harbor development is categorized in the field of port development policy, economic analysis and evaluation, civil engineering analysis, hydrodynamic analysis, evaluation of social and natural environment effect, etc. The study in this paper, however, is limited to hydrodynamic analysis, especially the analysis of water wave propagation and response to the shore structure due to the construction and implementation of shore boundary, the mathematical formulation of the numerical model is established systematically based on the hybrid Element Method and applied to solving the wave refraction, diffraction and radiation problems for a circular basin, the artificial beach or lagoon in terms of coastal zone development.

  • Recently, the use of digital technology in architectural technology is gradually increasing with the development of various industrial technologies. There are artificial intelligence and drones in the field of architecture, and among them, deep learning technology has been introduced to conduct research in areas such as precise inspection of buildings, and it is expressed in a highly reliable way. When a building is deteriorated, various defects such as cracks in the surface and subsidence of the structure may occur. Since these cracks can represent serious structural damage in the future, the detection of cracks was conducted using artificial intelligence that can detect and identify surface defects by detecting cracks and aging of buildings.

  • Painting, as an artistic creation with aesthetic characteristics, is inseparable from "shape". "Modeling" is a subjective way of expressing objects, and "black shape" is not only a way of expression, but also a way of composition. "Black shape" is a way of expressing the overall picture of the creator, and "black shape" extracted from the pattern analysis of black and white gray structure is a powerful means to deeply explore the emotions and thoughts of the painter. How to create the expression of subjective intention in the creation of artificial figure painting and to explore the beauty of picture form and the presentation of formal language in multiple dimensions is always sought by painters. Tang Dynasty political stability, economic and cultural development of unprecedented prosperity, "Toujian Diu" as a representative painting of Tang Dynasty, the figure is plump and realistic, colorful but elegant. It not only represents the aesthetic taste of the Tang Dynasty, but also reflects the overall style of the Tang Dynasty's artificial figure painting. The aim of this paper is to explore the value of "black shape" in "Toughen Diagram" and analyze its multi-component form in depth.
