LNG is known as the transitional energy source for the future eco-friendly, attracting enormous market attention due to global eco-friendly regulations, Covid-19 Pandemic, Russia-Ukraine War. In addition, since new LNG suppliers such as the U.S. and Australia are also diversifying, the LNG spot market is expected to grow. On the other hand, research on the LNG transportation market has been marginalized. Therefore, this study attempted to predict short-term LNG 160K spot rates and compared the prediction performance between artificial neural networks and the ARIMA model. As a result of this paper, while it was difficult to determine the superiority and superiority of ARIMA and artificial neural networks, considering the relative free of ANN's contraints, we confirmed the feasibility of ANN in LNG 160K spot rate prediction. This study has academic significance as the first attempt to apply an artificial neural network to forecasting LNG 160K spot rates and are expected to contribute significantly in practice in that they can improve the quality of short-term investment decisions by market participants by increasing the accuracy of short-term prediction.
BACKGROUND: Selection an suitable light source is essential in the year-round production of horticultural crops in closed production systems such as plant factory with controlled environments. This study was investigated to confirm the effects of artificial light sources on growth of cherry tomato'CF Jelly'(Lycopersicon esculentum var.) under high-pressure sodium lamps (HPS), metal-halide lamps (MH), and LEDs. METHODS AND RESULTS: Light intensity of the light sources was controlled at 220±30 µmol/m2/s with 12 hrs of photoperiod for a day. Flower development was significantly faster in HPS and MH treatments compared to the LEDs. There was no significant difference between the leaf number and leaf shape under the HPS and MH treatments. Reproductive growth of cherry tomato was significantly promoted by the LEDs treatment of blue plus red lights. Fruit yield per plant also increased under the LEDs compared to the others. CONCLUSION(S): Growth, flowering, and fruit setting of the cherry tomato were accomplished by the artificial lights under plant factory conditions. The HPS treatment showed negative effect on fruit quality in terms of blossom-end rot incidence compared to the LEDs or MH treatment. Effect of the LEDs on promotion of fruit weight and yield was also proved. Additional research should be carried out for improving sugar metabolism or decreasing disease in the fruits under plant factory system using only artificial lights.

Biotechnological researches in Central Asian Research Institute of Sericulture were developed since 1981 when laboratory of artificial diets for mulberry silkworm was created. The researches were directed not only to creation of accessible artificial diets (AD) for off-season mass rearing of economical beneficial insect and for industrialization of sericulture but also to obtaining of easy reproducible source of animal proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, enzymes, enzymes inhibitors and other metabolites - bioresource for manufacture of oriental medicine preparations. Space experiments with silkworms became possible with use of AD. These experiments used mulberry silkworm as high effective board test organism with outstanding developmental, reproductive and transgenic properties having important significance in future of cosmonautics. Introduction to practice of bioprotective and ecologically pure method of drying and sterilizing of green cocoons and by-products of silk manufacture allows to increase efficiency of cocoons reeling technology as well as to preserve nativity of biological active substances in mulberry silkworm pupae that is unachievable by traditional methods of raw material processing. New spheres of application of two important silk proteins - fibroin and sericin in medicine, cosmetics, for bio- and nanotechnology are opening with use of biotechnological approaches. At present the achievements and experience of R & D in these fields are used in creation of modern pests biocontrol agents. Schemes of efficient processing of cocoon raw material, by-products and wastes of sericulture and cocoon processing are devel- Institute of Physiology and Biophysics, Uzbek Academy of Sciences, I, Niyazov street, 700095, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. oped for obtaining of traditional and new consumer products.
In order to obtain the fishing possibility by acoustic, the two fishes, Lateolabrax japonicus, Mugil cephalus, were bred in a water tank. The feeding sounds from the fishes and the artificial sounds were recorded by a hydrophone and then the frequency and the sound pressure level of the sounds recorded were analyzed by the digital frequency analyzer. These sounds were edited in two manners of which one is emitted for 10 seconds and paused for 10 seconds continuously and the other is emitted for 20 seconds and paused for 20 seconds also. These edited sounds were emitted again into the tank and the respose of fisher were observed. Lateolebrax japonicus showed a positive response and Mugil cephalus responsed a little positively to the emitted feeding sound, The fishes seemed to show a positive response only in emitting a moderate pressure level of feeding sound. Lateolabrax japonicus and Mugil cephalus showed negative response to the emitted artificial sound. It was most effective to increase the sound pressure level that the fishes went away from the sound source to the emitted artificial sound.

In this paper, an artificial stereo extension method that creates stereophonic sound from a mono sound source is proposed. The proposed method first trains deep neural networks (DNNs) that model the nonlinear relationship between the dominant and residual signals of the stereo channel. In the training stage, the band-wise log spectral magnitude and unwrapped phase of both the dominant and residual signals are utilized to model the nonlinearities of each sub-band through deep architecture. From that point, stereo extension is conducted by estimating the residual signal that corresponds to the input mono channel signal with the trained DNN model in a sub-band domain. The performance of the proposed method was evaluated using a log spectral distortion (LSD) measure and multiple stimuli with a hidden reference and anchor (MUSHRA) test. The results showed that the proposed method provided a lower LSD and higher MUSHRA score than conventional methods that use hidden Markov models and DNN with full-band processing.
We built a simple Adaptive Optics (AO) system at laboratory. This AO system is a step toward developing AO system for astronomical use. In this step, the AO system consists of He-Ne laser as a artificial light source, wavefront sensor, MEMS (Micro electro mechanical system) type deformable mirror and several lenses. MEMS deformable mirror allows the compact system at low cost and the only several mm sized collimated beam. We made Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor using a lenslet array and a fast frame CCD. Its performance is verified using an artificial phase disturber and noting the movement of spot images by the lenslet array. The frame rate of the driving software is about 70 fps, depending on the control parameters. The characteristics of MEMS deformable mirror was measured which includes the voltage-to-deflection relation, influence function, and cross-talk. The total system is operated under closed-loop control for the artificial phase disturber and the wavefront is found to be compensated successfully.

A bridge transportation network supplies products from various source nodes to destination nodes through bridge structures in a target region. However, recent frequent earthquakes have caused damage to bridge structures, resulting in extreme direct damage to the target area as well as indirect damage to other lifeline structures. Therefore, in this study, a surrogate model-based comprehensive framework to estimate the seismic resilience of bridge transportation networks is proposed. For this purpose, total system travel time (TSTT) is introduced for accurate performance indicator of the bridge transportation network, and an artificial neural network (ANN)-based surrogate model is constructed to reduce traffic analysis time for high-dimensional TSTT computation. The proposed framework includes procedures for constructing an ANN-based surrogate model to accelerate network performance computation, as well as conventional procedures such as direct Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) calculation and bridge restoration calculation. To demonstrate the proposed framework, Pohang bridge transportation network is reconstructed based on geographic information system (GIS) data, and an ANN model is constructed with the damage states of the transportation network and TSTT using the representative earthquake epicenter in the target area. For obtaining the seismic resilience curve of the Pohang region, five epicenters are considered, with earthquake magnitudes 6.0 to 8.0, and the direct and indirect damages of the bridge transportation network are evaluated. Thus, it is concluded that the proposed surrogate model-based framework can efficiently evaluate the seismic resilience of a high-dimensional bridge transportation network, and also it can be used for decision-making to minimize damage.
