  • Artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Big Data are playing important roles in improving or upgrading energy efficiency. Furthermore, their roles in energy efficiency are expected to become more and more essential. This study conducted a bibliometric comparative analysis on the features in the articles on the AI, the IoT, and the Big Data in energy efficiency by using the Web of Science database and compared the features in their trends in article publications, citations, countries, research areas, journals, and funding agencies from 2012 to 2022. This study attempted to make significant contributions by shedding new light on the following features. Among the AI, the IoT, and the Big Data in energy efficiency, the most articles were published and the most article citations were received in the AI in energy efficiency. China was found out to be the most leading country. Engineering and computer science were revealed to be the first research area. IEEE Access and IEEE Internet of Things were ranked with first journal. National Natural Science Foundation of China was the first research funding agency concerning the articles published in the AI, the IoT, and the Big Data in energy efficiency from 2012 to 2022.

  • Purpose: This paper aims to tackle the challenges and opportunities of cities' response to COVID-19 and provide cities with policy implications for better adapting to the post-pandemic era. Cities around the world are facing new challenges and have had to adapt to maintain social distancing measures while also addressing equity and social inclusion issues. Research design, data and methodology: The research methodology relies on an examination of existing literature, coupled with trend analysis employing discourse analysis to investigate post-pandemic urban resilience. The article also attempts to employ the concepts of adaptive urbanism and spatial flexibility and their potential to address these challenges not only in response to the pandemic, but also in the long-term. Results: The article explores the impact of COVID-19 on urban spatial structure through a public health lens and proposes actions that cities are able to take to enhance their resilience in the aftermath of the pandemic. Conclusions: It underscores the significance of reconstructing with improved distribution dynamics and provides valuable guidance for companies and policymakers on navigating these challenges. Ultimately, it also suggests that the pandemic has initiated a worldwide restructuring of urban planning, potentially leading to the emergence of smart cities grounded in science and technology.

  • This article explains the theory of multiple mode/physical coordinate synthesis method in order to analyze the dynamic characteristics for an huge marine engine. The theory leads to make a simulation code. The natural frequencies obtained from the simulation code is compared to those from a commercial analysis software, ANSYS. The simulation code is well reviewed.

  • In this article, we present a method to measure precisely the performances of direct-lit CCFL backlights using a luminance meter and dedicated image analysis software. The array of CCFL tubes alone can be measured directly and the luminance of each tube can be extracted along its main dimension. So, comparison of the different tubes on the same backlight can be made easily and the performances in terms of backlight uniformity improved. The influence of the diffuser sheet can be probed in the same way and the homogeneity of the entire surface of the backlight can be automatically extracted and quantified.

  • In this article, Adomian decomposition method (ADM), variation iteration method(VIM) and homotopy analysis method (HAM) for solving integro-differential equation with singular kernel have been investigated. Also,we study the existence and uniqueness of solutions and the convergence of present methods. The accuracy of the proposed method are illustrated with solving some numerical examples.

  • In this article, we propose a regression and correlation analysis via dynamic graphs and implement them in Java Web Start. For the polynomial relations between dependent and independent variables, dynamic graphics are implemented for both polynomial regression and spline estimates for an instant model selection. The results include basic statistics. They are available both as a web-based service and an application.

  • This article investigates the different numerical methods, which are widely used for purpose of simulating a fire compartment the particular numerical methods such as finite difference, finite element, control Volume, and finite analysis are discribed in order to understand basic concepts and their applications. The fire simulations using fferent methods for the different physical geometrics have been reported in many recent literatures The convergence rate, the accuracy, and the stability are no simply dependent upon the specific method, The study of popular nu-merical methods by being compared among those is therefore significant to understand the nu-merical simulation of fire compartment.
