This study examined the effects of an art program based on multiple intelligence theory on children's creativity and spatial ability. The art education program focused on three processes : perception, production and reflection. Subjects were 68 five-year-old children. The experimental design was 'The Untreated Control Group Design with Pretest & Posttest'. ANCOV was employed for statistical analysis. Results were that the children in the experimental group scored significantly higher on creativity and spatial ability than the children in the control group. Results imply that an art education program based on multiple intelligence theory can be an effective teaching model for improving children's creativity and spatial ability.

In this study, we will develop and implement the teaching program of 'Function', on the subject of "Poster-Making utilizing the Graph Art" in the Math Camp for middle-school students. And we will examine the didactical significance through student's activities and products. The teaching program of 'Function' utilizing the Graph Art can be promoted self-directly the understanding of 'Function' concept and the ability for handling 'Function'. In the process of drawing up the graph art, in particular, this program help students to promote the ability for problem-solving and mathematical thinking, and to communicate mathematically and attain the his own level. Purpose : To evaluate the effect of comprehensive art therapy on physical function and activities of daily living in children with cerebral palsy (CP). Methods : Ten ambulant children with diplegic (n=8) or hemiplegic (n=2) CP participated in this study. All were randomly assigned to either the art therapy group (n=5) or the control group (n=5). Both groups received physical therapy based on neurodevelopmental techniques for 20 minutes a day, 1 day a week, for a period of 12 weeks. Children in the art therapy group received additional comprehensive art therapy for 70 minutes once a week for 3 months. Tests for various measurements-Motricity Index (MI) for strength, Trunk Control Test (TCT) for trunk ability, Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM) and Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) for gross motor function, Denver Developmental Screening Test-II (DDST-II) for developmental milestones, Functional Independence Measure of Children (WeeFIM) for abilities to complete daily activities, Leg and Hand Ability Test (LHAT) for limb function-were performed before and after treatments. Results : The upper extremity and whole extremity strengths of MI, self-care and total scores of WeeFIM, and leg and arm functions of LHAT improved significantly only for individuals in the art therapy group after the art therapy (p<.05). The value of MI after treatment was at the upper extremity and whole extremity strengths the leg function of LHAT was also significantly improved compared to the control group (p<.05). Conclusion : This study revealed that comprehensive art therapy along with physiotherapy was effective in increasing upper extremity strength and leg ability in children with CP. This suggests that comprehensive art therapy may be a useful adjunctive therapy for children with CP.
In this paper, we analyzed 2015 revised curriculum for elementary school's practical art and middle school's information subject based on core competency. As a result, in 2015 revised curriculum for practical art subject, the ability to use information was well reflected in all achievement criteria and learning objectives. Also, problem solving ability and creativity·convergence ability were well reflected. In 2015 revised curriculum for information subject, the ability to use information was well reflected in all achievement criteria and learning objectives as like practical art subject. However, there were fewer learning elements to develop self-management ability. Therefore, it is proposed in this paper that the learning elements and teaching, learning activities and evaluation contents should be included in the SW curriculum, which can further enhance cooperative capabilities, self-management ability and communication ability.

This study is a non-structured developmental art-therapy case study having done 134 times of total treatments for a 12 years old girl, having extremely poor verbal communication ability and sociality comparing to her ability in perception and motion. I presumed the cause of this gap between perceptibility and the communication ability was a problem related to self-consciousness. To cure the problem, I provided treatment programs designed to use material which can create a stable and reliable environment and can give body experiences such as painting and play-dough. As the treatment programs progressed, I found she had changed gradually to lead the game by herself and to express her favorite colors and shapes. Also she became to be able to express her experience as a simple word and to response short answers for questions.

The purpose of this study was to develop the inspection model of cognitive ability to identify visual artistic giftedness of the elementary school children with considering the relation between visual artistic giftedness and cognitive ability based on literature and preceding research. The research method applied literature research and quantitative research. Through literature review on the relation between art education and cognitive thinking and visual artistic of giftedness, it was suggested to prescribe the validity of cognitive ability as an element for identification of visual artistic giftedness identification, and then prescribed the elements of cognitive ability, and developed the inspection model of cognitive ability by measuring specific variables. Based on the results of literature research through the quantitative research, verified significance of developed inspection instrument on cognitive ability, validity and reliability of the inspection model of cognitive ability according to visual artistic giftedness identification of the elementary school children. As a result of reviewing related literature and preceding research, it could be referred that visual thinking ability, spatial perception power and critical thinking ability coincided with a characteristic of an art field can show excellent ability in various art activities and be valid criteria of visual artistic giftedness as cognitive ability of the visual artistic gifted with potential possibilities. In conclusion, as the elements of cognitive ability for the visual artistic giftedness identification of the elementary school children, visual thinking ability, spatial perception power and critical thinking ability were verified to be valid in terms of logical and experimental. Therefore, the result of the research will be able to provide a new approach in education program development of visual artistic giftedness of the elementary school children and a various developmental possibility in identification of visual artistic giftedness.

Total 12 sessions of Group art therapy were administered to the experiment group twice per week from January 4 to February 15, 2016. Employed in the study were the Internet game addiction, aggression, and emotional regulation inventories. Collected data were treated with repeated measures ANOVA for differences according to the implementation time and group. The findings show that group art therapy had positive effects for mitigating the aggression of elementary school students over-immersed in Internet games and increasing their emotional regulation ability and that those effects lasted. Those findings indicate that group art therapy is effective for alleviating the aggression of elementary school children over-immersed in Internet games and improving their emotional regulation ability. Finally, based on the reuslt of this study, the development and future direction of this program for prevention and treatment of elementary school students over-immersed in Internet games is suggested.
