  • The standard unit manpower and material in landscape architectural construction was consist of a standard and universal work classification. However, these constructional methods have created a number of problems in utilizing and responding on a variety of recently-developed working methods such as new constructional skills and technologies. This research decided that presenting the amendments of work classification of a standard unit manpower and material in landscape architectural construction was very important, and investigated those work classifications which required these new amendments. First of all, assessment items were selected through the literature reviews and a preliminary survey. Then, these assessment items were surveyed to the total of 60 professional landscape architecture field. The results of this study were as follows; First, the utilization level of the a standard unit manpower and material in landscape architectural construction was highest in the area of work classification of planting unit manpower and material. Second, the work classifications that needed to be added were recognized as leveling the ground construction, landscape structure construction, paving construction, water facilities construction, and outdoor facilities construction. Third, in the field of the a standard unit manpower and material in landscape architectural construction, 66.7% of the respondents replied that some amendments were necessary, and those amendments needed work classifications were identified as work classification of planting unit manpower and material was gigantic plant, topiary tree, temporary planting, exchange dead tree, etc. In the area of digging out was gigantic plant and plastic tree were recognized. The survey respondents also answered that, in keeping and management work classifications some amendments in pruning waste were necessary, and in the fields of rubble masonry work classifications some improvements were required in rubble aperture planting unit manpower and material and sodding and herbaceous sowing was a realistic lawn size unit manpower and material was needed. Based on the results explained above, this study suggests that amendments for a standard unit manpower and material in landscape architectural construction are necessary, especially in the areas of planting size and quality of work classifications unit manpower and material and in the unit manpower and material that affects the quality of lands caping constructions.

  • Traditionally, the construction industry has shown low labor productivity and productivity growth. To improve labor productivity, it must first be accurately measured. The existing method uses work-sampling techniques through observation of workers' activities at certain time intervals on site. However, a disadvantage of this method is that the results may differ depending on the observer's judgment and may be inaccurate in the case of a large number of missed scenarios. Therefore, this study proposes a model to automate labor productivity measurement by monitoring workers' actions using a deep learning-based pose estimation method. The results are expected to contribute to productivity improvement on construction sites.

  • As recent safety accidents at construction sites can lead to serious accidents that threaten the lives of workers, the role of safety managers in charge of safety management has emerged. However, the current construction safety management system requires the improvement and simplification of the work contents due to the excessive workload and inefficient safety tasks of each person. In this respect, the main purpose of this study is to reduce the occurrence of construction safety accidents by deriving correlations using 2×2 Matrix analysis techniques through expert opinion, simplifying unnecessary tasks and identifying areas requiring improvement. Therefore, if this research reduces inefficient safety manager work and reduces job stress caused by excessive simple document work, thereby efficiently reorganizing safety manager's work to prevent blind spots of hazards and risks, it will ultimately have a great effect on preventing safety accidents at construction sites.

  • While the scale of the domestic market for demolition work is steadily increasing, research on cost prediction for demolition work is insufficient. Thus, this study proposes a cost prediction model for demolition work that reflects various attributes influecing the fluctuation of demolition cost. 13 influencing factors and historical cost data were collected based on literature review and experts' advice, and two prediction models were constructed through regression analysis and the prediction accuracy was evaluated. As a result, it showed an average error rate of about 6 to 12%, and it was possible to explore the possibility of use as a reliable prediction model. The results of this study can contribute to estimating appropriate construction cost and improving related standards for domestic demolition works in the future.

  • While temporary construction work applies to a temporary facility, it has a high use frequency during the construction period accounting for around 10% of the construction cost, it requires systematic management. However, construction inspection information of temporary construction work often has no special specification in the design documents and specification items, with the items on various standards also being formidable. Because of this, related inspection are likely to be performed inefficiently with a high probability for occurrence of human errors when quality inspection is conducted for the temporary construction work. In the present study, therefore, apply to the electronic operation support system capable of supporting implementation of inspection of providing related information for the contemporary construction work. To achieve this, a prototype is developed by using IDEF0 to identify information flow by process and organizing EPSS-based quality inspection Task. And then, efficiency of the quality inspection and information accessibility for temporary construction work are to be improved by verification method of Sample Project.

  • The detection and tracking of construction workers in building sites generate valuable data on unsafe behavior, work productivity, and construction progress. Many computer vision-based tracking approaches have been investigated and their capabilities for tracking construction workers have been tested. However, the dynamic nature of real-world construction environments, where workers wear similar outfits and move around in often cluttered and occluded regions, has severely limited the accuracy of these methods. Herein, to enhance the performance of vision-based tracking, a new framework is proposed which seamlessly integrates three computer vision components: detection, tracking, and re-identification (DTR). In DTR, a tracking algorithm continuously tracks identified workers using a detector and tracker in combination. Then, a re-identification model extracts visual features and utilizes them as appearance descriptors in subsequent frames during tracking. Empirical results demonstrate that the proposed method has excellent multi-object-tracking accuracy with better accuracy than an existing approach. The DTR framework can efficiently and accurately monitor workers, ensuring safer and more productive dynamic work environments.

  • Due to the aging of economically active population in the world, the average age of workers in the domestic construction industry is also steadily increasing. This study analyzes the aging of construction workers in small-size construction sites in Busan, where the aging of the economically active population is the most severe in Korea. As a result of the study on the aging of construction workers in six construction sites with a construction cost of less than 500 million won in Busan, it was found that 65% of the workers were over 50 years of age. In addition, several experts interviews and survey revealed that 'securing welfare facilities for construction workers' and 'diminishing prejudice about the construction industry" were the most urgent and effective methods to overcome the aging problems. The results of this study can be served as basic data to solve the aging problems in the industry.

  • In the study the documents in Ryu Hee-Choon's diary (Miahm-Ilgicho) from Oct. 29th 1575 to Feb. 9th 1577, for Kaeg-Chung(客聽) are arranged and analized. Ryu, Hee-Choon (Mi-ahm) was a civil minister in the era of Myung-Jong to Sun-Jo of the Chosun dinasty. This study would be one of the basal material for actually inquiring into the character of houses for the gentry in the late 16th century. Above all, the significance of this is that it study could show the details of the architectural economy, the organization of architectural society and the process of the supply of architectural material at that time. Craftsmen devoting themselves to this work are carpenters, artisans making roof titles, roofers and artisans constructing walls. And the content that are craftsmen of monks(僧匠), artisans of commoners(私匠) and slaves belong to government(官奴) is noticeable thing. In this construction work, monks in temples of the region and laboures commandeered by the government office are mainly mobilized. Except of them, private slaves and commoners mobilized by government office also devoted themselves to this work. But, it required more research whether this aspect could be the general character of the construction work of the gentry in the late 16th century. Architectural material, in the case of wood was cut and transported mostly from islands like Jin-do by labourers commandeered by the head officer of the region and monks. Superintendents seemed to come be non-specialists of noble families of the ruling class. So, it is thought that they managed mainly the manpower supply and administration. And some architectural ironworks, much provisions and marine products for labourers and craftsmen were proided by the government office of the region. This could be understood in the same context as above that goverment office of the region contributed to commandeering labourers and supplying architectural material in some degree. Carpenters and roofers took wages that is, about 7.7 pils(匹) of cotton cloth for each carpenter and 5 pils of cotton cloth and some provisions for each roofer. This would be a noticeable thing for researching wages of craftsmen at that time
