Knowledge is recognized as the most important asset among enterprises. Therefore, the necessity of knowledge management is ever on the increase nowadays. While many people have endeavored to develop knowledge storage, sharing and usage, knowledge creation is not sufficiently investigated for practical application, because knowledge creation is largely related to creativity and difficult to establish a systematic methodology. In order to overcome such problems, the creative knowledge creation model is proposed by using the whole brain theory and creative thinking tools. First of all, the creative knowledge creation model is based on the Nonaka's knowledge creation model integrated with the whole brain theory. The whole brain theory is then used as a standard to organize a whole brain team that is composed of members who have diverse thinking patterns. For creative thinking tools, the mandal-art and the contradiction matrix of TRIZ are used for a knowledge conversion. Each process of the creative knowledge creation model is sequentially suggested and several terms are defined. In order to verify the effectiveness of the creative knowledge creation model, the proposed model is applied to the development of a dishwasher with a new concept. According to the order of the proposed method, the model is applied twice in the cycle of spiral evolution. Three kinds of dish-washing methods have been developed using the proposed model. The results of the application are then analyzed and presented.

과학교육과정에서 과학 지식의 실용성에 관한 인식을 점차 강조해 왔다. 진화 이론 역시 현대 과학에서는 실용적으로 활용되고 있음에도 불구하고 그에 대한 학생들의 인식은 낮을 것으로 예상된다. 이 연구는 진화 이론의 실용성에 관한 인식과 관련된 변인을 탐색하는 것을 목표로 한다. 방법론적으로 전공, 학년, 종교의 3가지 독립변수와 실용성에 관한 인식, 진화 지식, 진화 관심, 진화 수용, 종교성의 5가지 종속변수를 설문조사 하였다. 총 233명의 생물 예비교사와 405명의 비생물 과학예비교사가 이 연구에 참여하였다. 연구 결과, 비생물 교사 양성 프로그램과 비교하였을 때 생물 교사양성 프로그램은 진화 지식과 관심을 향상시키는데 기여했을 뿐 진화 이론의 실용적 가치에 대한 인식을 향상시키지 못하였다. 진화 이론의 실용적 인식은 개인의 종교 변수, 진화 관심과 수용과 밀접한 관련성을 보였다. 이 연구를 토대로 진화 이론의 실용적 가치를 향상시키는 프로그램의 개발과 다른 과학 개념들의 실용성 인식 변인 조사를 제언한다.

The paper illustrates a possible application of control theory to an economic growth system. Simultaneous nonlinear system of differential equations has been modeled which is different from the traditional formulation, based on the theory of economic growth for a two-sector (dual) economy. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the optimal control are derived directly from the Hamiltonian, and the optimal controls are also obtained by solving simultaneous equations. Obtaining the trajectories of the optimal control and state variables, however, should rely on the numerical procedures. Empirical application has been conducted for the case of the Korean economy as an illustration.

Since The Korean Reliability Society had been founded in 1999, development history of reliability engineering in Korea is reviewed and research outputs and papers from 2008 to current are analyzed in terms of types of industry, product life cycle, hardware vs software, and theory vs application. The purpose of this research is to review the recent reliability engineering research conducted in Korea including development history as well as published papers to identify the weakness and/or deficiencies in order to suggest the future research directions, which would contribute the development of industries in Korea.

The Russian theory of inventive problem solving method in Engineering, TRIZ is introduced to the non Engineering field these days. In this paper, the applications of TRIZ to creative knowledge management for knowledge creation are reviewed. This paper shows some examples on the systematic win-win problem solving in business environments using TRIZ methodology and comments the possibility of TRIZ in conceptual creative business innovation in future.

The purpose of this article, the first part of series, is to describe the general theory applicable to various chromatographic procedures. History of chromatography, separation of matters, classification of chromatography, underlying principles of separation in chromatography, covering resolution, column efficiency, column selectivity, and capacity factor, movement of solute in chromatographic phase, including elution development, displacement development, and frontal analysis, were discussed. Mathematical description of plate theory and thermodynamic viewpoint of retention were emphasized.

Previous studies have found that the use or development of theory in library and information science (LIS) research is comparatively low and may be trending downward. LIS has also been criticized for relying on theories imported from other disciplines rather than applying or developing theories from within. The theory of information worlds, a social information behavior theory originally introduced in 2008, represents a newer LIS theory whose level of adoption is understudied. This study features a systematic literature review of peer-reviewed research articles which cited or used the theory of information worlds from 2008 to early 2022 to identify trends related to levels of theory use, publication venues, author affiliations, countries, and collaborations, as well as research methods, topics, and populations. Findings suggest that both awareness and use of the theory of information worlds are positively trending, though at slower rates for higher levels of theory use, such as full applications of the theory to guide the collection and analysis of empirical data. The theory has also been used by researchers from around the world and across disciplines, most often with mixed and qualitative methods. While the growth of a new LIS theory is promising, the authors echo calls for increased use and development of the theory of information worlds, and other LIS theories more broadly, and as more interdisciplinary collaboration.

It has been recognized that the assessment of concrete lining is very uncertain and subjective depending on the engineers who are in charge. T-FLAS which was based on fuzzy theory was developed in this study for the quantitative and objective assessment of the concrete lining in tunnels. Based on the application of T-FLAS on the evaluated field data, it was shown that the assessment system using fuzzy theory(T-FLAS) can be the effective and objective method for the assessment of concrete lining.

This study seeks to determine the effect of the application of accounting information system (AIS), internal control system, and human resource (HR) competency on the quality of local government financial statements (FS). This study uses agency theory and compliance theory. Agency theory is used to explain that there is a link between the society as the principal and the government as the agent. Compliance theory is a theory, which states that every agency is obliged to comply with regulations because the law-drafting authority has the right to dictate behavior. The population in this study were employees of the financial division of local government organizations in one of the districts in Central Java, Indonesia. The total samples in this study was 106 respondents. The data used are primary data taken from distributing questionnaires to respondents. The method of analysis used to test the hypothesis was multiple linear regression analysis. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that HR competency has an effect on the quality of FS; however, the application of AIS and internal control system has no effect on the quality of FS. The implication of this research underlines the importance of HR competency to improve the quality of local government FS.
