  • In order to fabricate the porous metal with controlled pore characteristics, unique processing by using metal oxide powder as the source and camphene as the sublimable material is introduced. CuO powder was selected as the source for the formation of Cu metal via hydrogen reduction. Camphene-based CuO slurry, prepared by milling at $47^{\circ}C$ with a small amount of dispersant, was frozen at $-25^{\circ}C$. Pores were generated subsequently by sublimation of the camphene. The green body was hydrogen-reduced at $200^{\circ}C$ for 30 min, and sintered at $500-700^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. Microstructural analysis revealed that the sintered Cu showed aligned large pore channels parallel to the camphene growth direction, and fine pores are formed around the large pore. Also, it showed that the pore size was controllable by the slurry concentration.

  • Recently, Software development method supported CBD is applied with many concern and is researched with part of application and composition based-on architecture effectively use it. Effectively, C2 architecture has been concern with the point of component composition method based-on message driven for supported GUI. But, In case of classified sequence in component and method call method in server component, component must be modified to apply it. Thus, In this paper, Message handling part with a part of C2 architecture change is locate in the message neither component not connector. So, Although method call method it can be composit and operate component for support Plug-and-Play without modification. Also, it's possible the more flexible message handling with parallel composition of component between message without classified sequence.

  • Finite field operations have played an important role in error correcting codes and cryptosystems. Recently, the necessity of efficient computation processing is increasing for security in cyber physics systems. Therefore, efficient implementation of finite field arithmetics is more urgently needed. These operations include addition, multiplication, division and inversion. Addition is very simple and can be implemented with XOR operation. The others are somewhat more complicated than addition. Among these operations, multiplication is the most important, since time-consuming operations, such as exponentiation, division, and computing multiplicative inverse, can be performed through iterative multiplications. In this paper, we propose a multiplexer based parallel computation algorithm that performs Montgomery multiplication over finite field using redundant basis. Then we propose an efficient multiplexer based semi-systolic multiplier over finite field using redundant basis. The proposed multiplier has less area-time (AT) complexity than related multipliers. In detail, the AT complexity of the proposed multiplier is improved by approximately 19% and 65% compared to the multipliers of Kim-Han and Choi-Lee, respectively. Therefore, our multiplier is suitable for VLSI implementation and can be easily applied as the basic building block for various applications.

  • Multiple sequence alignment is a method to compare two or more DNA or protein sequences. Most of multiple sequence alignment tools rely on pairwise alignment and Smith-Waterman algorithm to generate an alignment hierarchy. Therefore, in the existing multiple alignment method as the number of sequences increases, the runtime increases exponentially. In order to remedy this problem, we adopted a parallel processing suffix tree algorithm that is able to search for common subsequences at one time without pairwise alignment. Also, the cross-matching subsequences triggering inexact-matching among the searched common subsequences might be produced. So, the cross-matching masking process was suggested in this paper. To identify the function of the clusters generated by suffix tree clustering, BLAST and CDD (Conserved Domain Database)search were combined with a clustering tool. Our clustering and annotating tool consists of constructing suffix tree, overlapping common subsequences, clustering gene sequences and annotating gene clusters by BLAST and CDD search. The system was successfully evaluated with 36 gene sequences in the pentose phosphate pathway, clustering 10 clusters, finding out representative common subsequences, and finally identifying functional domains by searching CDD database.

  • This paper describes an ASM(All Solid-state Modulator) pulsed power generator for non-thermal plasma applications. The proposed generator can produce 20kV, 500A, 100ns pulses at repetition rates up to 10kHz, and it is composed of 30 series connections of power circuit card assembly which contains paralleled MOSFETs, MOSFET drivers, energy storage capacitors and specially designed 1:1 pulse transformer. Higher pulse voltages and currents can easily be obtained by increasing the numbers of series and parallel connections of power circuit card and MOSFETs, respectively. Component layouts are optimized to minimize the leakage inductance and the voltage spikes across switching devices. Especially it put emphasis on the over-current protection (including short circuit) for the reliable operation in real situations. Experimental results show that the proposed pulser is very efficient in air pollution control application and could be useful for other applications such as synthesis of nanosize powders and non-thermal food processing.

  • Among the geophysical methods, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) comprise the most promising techniques in resolving buried archaeological structures in urban territories. In this work, two case studies which involve an integrated geophysical survey employing the surface three dimensional (3D) ERT and GPR techniques, in order to archaeologically characterize the investigated areas, are presented. Totally more than 4000 square meters were investigated from the test field sites, which are located at the centre of two of the most populated cities of the island of Crete, in Greece. The ERT and the GPR data were collected along dense and parallel profiles. The subsurface resistivity structure was reconstructed by processing the apparent resistivity data with a 3D inversion algorithm. The GPR sections were processed with a systematic way applying specific filters to the data in order to enhance their information context. Finally, horizontal depth slices representing the 3D variation of the physical properties were created and the geophysical anomalies were interpreted in terms of possible archaeological structures. The subsequent excavations in one of the sites verified the geophysical results, enhancing the applicability of ERT and GPR techniques in the archaeological exploration of urban territories.

  • Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is a computational model inspired by the structure and operations of the brain. It is massively parallel system consisting of a large number of highly interconnected and simple processing units. The purpose of this paper is to verify the applicability of ANN to predict experimental results through the use of measured experimental data. Although there have been accumulated data based on hysteretic characteristics of structural element with cyclic loading tests, it is difficult to directly apply them for the analysis of elastic and plastic response. Thus, simple models with mathematical formula such as Bi-Linear Model, Ramberg-Osgood Model, Degrading Tri Model, Takeda Model, Slip type Model, and etc, have been used. To verify the practicality and capability of this study, ANN is adapted to several models with mathematical formula using numerical data To show the efficiency of ANN in nonlinear analysis, it is important to determine the adequate input and output variables of hysteretic models and to minimize an error in ANN process. The application example is Beam-Column joint test using the ANN in modeling of the linear and nonlinear hysteretic behavior of structure.

  • The explosive increase in the range of Internet usage gradually makes the speed and capacity of network high-speed, rapidly evolving it into mass storage. Accordingly, network equipment such as switch and router are coping with it through hardware-based rapid technological evolution, but as the technological development of the most basic and essential network security system in the hyper-connected society requires frequent alterations and updates about the security issues and signatures of tens of thousands, so it is not easy to overcome the technical limitations based on the software. In this paper, to improve problems in installing and operating such anti-DDoS devices, we propose a Hi-DPI algorithm best reflecting the hardware characteristics and parallel processing characteristics of FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), and would verify the practicality.

  • Compressed sensing has been applied to many fields such as images, speech signals, radars, etc. It has been mainly applied to stationary signals, and reconstruction error could grow as compression ratios are increased by decreasing measurements. To resolve the problem, speech signals are divided into frames and processed in parallel. The frames are made sparse by dictionary learning, and adaptive compressed sensing is applied which designs the compressed sensing reconstruction matrix adaptively by using the difference between the sparse coefficient vector and its reconstruction. Through the proposed method, we could see that fast and accurate reconstruction of non-stationary signals is possible with compressed sensing.
