  • The finite analytic method is extended to solve the steady two dimensional Navier-Stokes equation of stream functions and vorticity in polar coordinate system. The method is applied to calculate laminar flows in a sector cavity where the motion is induced by the rotation of the outer wall. Numerical solutions are obtained in the range of Reynolds number 0 to 5000 and aspect ratios 0.50, 1.20, 1.60 and 1.92. The finite analytic method is verfied to be accurate and fast convergent at high Reynolds numbers. It is promising as a numerical method of viscous flows and heat transfer. Flows in sector cavities show different flow structures and formation of secondary vortex with aspect ratios and Reynolds numbers in comparison with rectangular cavities.

  • Beam-like structures such as bridge, high building and tower, pipes, flexible connecting rods and some robotic manipulators are often excited by support motions. These structures are important in machines and structures. So, this study proposes an analytic method to accurately predict the dynamic behaviors of the structures during support motions or an earthquake. Using Timoshenko beam theory which is valid even for non-slender beams and for high-frequency responses, the analytic responses of fixed-fixed beams subjected to a real seismic motions at supports are illustrated to show the principled approach to the proposed method. The responses of a slender beam obtained by using Timoshenko beam theory are compared with the solutions based on Euler-Bernoulli beam theory to validate the correctness of the proposed method. The dynamic analysis for the fixed-fixed beam subjected to support motions gives useful information to develop an understanding of the structural behavior of the beam. The bending moment and the shear force of a slender beam are governed by dynamic components while those of a stocky beam are governed by static components. Especially, the maximal magnitudes of the bending moment and the shear force of the thick beam are proportional to the difference of support displacements and they are influenced by the seismic wave velocity.

  • For measuring a traffic symbolic confusion Quantity and symbolic air pleasantness, we use fuzzy sensor algorithm maded by symbolic information Quantity. Hut for implementation of fuzzy sensor, we use some symbolic information item, this method cannot produce precise output because we use vague fuzzy rule method and we cannot abundance fuzzy for precision of fuzzy rule method. For this reason, this paper introduce new fuzzy sensor algorithm composed of not fuzzy rule method but using Analytic Hierachy Process. To prove that new method is good, two type of fuzzy sensor applied to traffic signal controller and through much passing vehicle, two fuzzy sensor compared each other.

  • A GIS-based landslide susceptibility mapping (LSM) was carried out using frequency ratio (FR), modified frequency ratio (M-FR), analytic hierarchy process (AHP), and modified analytic hierarchy process (M-AHP) methods to identify and delineate the potential failure zones along the Halong - Vandon expressway. The thematic layers of various landslide causative factors were generated for modeling in GIS, including geology, rainfall, distance to fault, distance to road, slope, aspect, landuse, density of landslide, vertical relief, and horizontal relief. In addition, a landslide inventory along the road network was prepared using data provided by the management department during the course of construction and operation from 2017 to 2019, when many landslides were documented. The validation results showed that the M-FR method had the highest AUC value (AUC = 0.971), which was followed by the FR method with AUC = 0.961. The AUC values were 0.939 and 0.892 for the M-AHP and AHP methods, respectively. The generated LSM obtained from M-FR method classified the study area into five susceptibility classes: very low (0), low (0-1), moderate (1-2), high (2-3), and very high (3-4) classes, which could be useful for various stakeholders like planners, engineers, designers, and local public for future construction and maintenance in the study area.

  • Tele manipulator is distingushed from industrial robot by iterating same specified work. Manipulator operator is included in control loop for controlling the telemanipulator because he decide directly during the work and order controllabily reducing the modelling error of telemanipulator which depend on the PID controller. But position-force control method of bidirectional control impose unsafety of vibiration and Analytic Hierachy Method can stabilize for reducing nonlinear modelling error by expert operator because of transformation empirical control rule to linear model.

  • This paper concerns barrier option of American type where the underlying price is monitored during only part of the option's life. Analytic valuation formulas of the American partial barrier options are obtained by approximation method. This approximation method is based on barrier options along with exponential early exercise policies. This result is an extension of Jun and Ku [10] where the exercise policies are constant.

  • We consider some applications of extremal length to the boundary behavior of analytic functions and derive theorems in connection with the conformal mappings. It shows us the usefulness of the method of extremal length. And we present some geometric applications of extremal length. The method of extremal length lead to simple proofs of theorems.

  • In this study, we try to improve the accuracy of QN-GPH by the help of simulation approach. We first establish an estimation method for GPH distributions with sufficient accuracy based on empirical distribution, and then perform a brief trial run to find appropriate empirical distributions. After getting GPH form of distributions, we continue the QN-GPH analytic steps and compute necessary performance measures. We apply the method to find sojourn time distributions in a 8-node queueing system and compare the results with the whole simulation and the original two-parametric approximation.

  • The paper presents a method for location of subsurface UXOs. The approach utilities gradient interpretation techniques (analytic signal, horizontal gradient and Euler methods) to locate the objects. Then, linear least-squares technique, we obtain the magnetization location of the sources. We demonstrate the practical utility of the method using marine magnetic field data.

  • In this paper, the performance of Mini MAP architecture is analyzed by simulation method. Token rotation time and waiting time are obtained by simulation. The results of the simulation are compared with these of the analytic model. From these comparisons, it is shown that simulation results are approximately identical to analytic results. Mini MAP architecture has good real time performances in token rotation time and waiting time and can be used to many real time applications.
