  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of early menarche on sexual experience among high school girls in South Korea. Methods: The study sample was comprised of 16,286 high school girls. Using statistics from the 11th (2015) Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey, hierarchical logistic regression analysis was conducted. Results: Among the girls, 5.8% reported early menarche. Early menarche was associated with sexual experience (Odds Ratio (OR), 5.27; 95% Confidence Interval (CI), 4.11-6.77). Controlled for sociodemographic, emotional and health behavior characteristics, early menarche was associated with sexual experience (OR, 3.98; 95% CI, 3.04-5.21). Conclusion: The results indicate that early menarche predicts an increase in sexual experience among female adolescents. Therefore, health education programs and health policy for interventions to improve sexual health are required for girls who are expected to experience early menarche.

  • This study, to effectively teach the concepts, principles and problem solving ability of the 2nd graders' learning of numbers and operations, offers realistic problem situation and focuses on the learning based on 'mathematization', one of the most important principles of RME (Realistic Mathematics Education) which is the mathematics education trend of Netherlands influenced by Freudenthal's theory. The instruction is applied to forty-one students of the 2nd grader for six weeks in twelve series in an elementary school, located in Seoul. To investigate the effects of the mathematising experience instruction for improving mathematical abilities, the group takes tests before and after the instruction. Also the qualitative analysis on the students' mathematising aspects through students' output at the instruction process is taken into account to evaluate the instruction's effects. The result shows that the mathematising experience instruction for improving mathematical abilities is proved to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts and principles and their problem solving ability in learning numbers and operations after carrying out this instruction. Also the result indicates that students' mathematising aspects are mostly horizontal and vertical mathematization.

Methods: Data were collected from 227 caregivers working in long-term care institutions from August 20 to October 31, 2021. Workplace violence experience, emotional labor, and depression were measured using developed structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results: Among the participants, 14.5% complained of minor or severe depression. There was a significant difference in the degree of depression depending on whether caregivers experienced unfair situations from the organizations they belonged to. Emotional labor was identified as a major factor influencing depression by regression analysis. Conclusion: A campaign to improve social awareness to prevent caregivers' emotional labor experience leading to depression should be strengthened. Furthermore, it is necessary to develop an emotional capacity building intervention program to effectively cope with caregivers' emotional labor and depression.

  • The activation of consumption of environment-friendly agricultural processed foods means not only the growth of environment-friendly agriculture, but also the development of related industries. Therefore, it is necessary to identify and apply the needs and purchasing attributes of environment-friendly agricultural processed food consumers. For this, survey was conducted to adult men and women in their 20s and 60s and a total of 200 copies were used for empirical analysis. In this study, the average difference between importance-satisfaction for purchase attributes of environment-friendly agricultural processed food was verified, and the IPA Matrix was prepared based on this. As a result, in terms of purchasing importance and satisfaction, it was found that those with no experience in purchasing environment-friendly agricultural processed foods regarded product, price, place, promotion as more important than those with experience in purchasing. In case of IPA, product and price factors were all important and satisfactory regardless of purchasing experience. On the other hand, it was found that the key factors for promotion were neither important nor satisfied with consumers regardless of their purchasing experience. Therefore, it is mainly necessary to focus on marketing and mass media promotion. At the same time, various domestic and foreign best practices should be benchmarked and a 4P marketing strategy should be established and promoted.
