화물차량의 사고위험도 분석 및 통행속도 제한기준 정립 (Establishing Traffic Speed Limits Standard and Accident Risk Analysis of Truck)

  • This paper presents the traffic speed limit of heavy vehicles at each wind velocity region, which is based on their accident risk analysis under cross-wind. The variables for the accident risk analysis are overall height, overall length, intake weight, and friction coefficient of the road surface. It was confirmed from analysis results that the risk of overturning increased with higher overall height and length, and the risk of sliding decreased with higher intake weight. The risk of sliding was largest at the friction coefficient of 0.1, and the risk of overturning was lagest at friction coefficient more than 0.25. Finally, traffic speed limit was proposed by using the accident risk analysis.

  • The catenary system used in urban electrification railway have suffered mechanical and chemical stresses. These brought out severe messenger wire problems, these have caused accident. Especially, messenger wire is severely influenced by corrosion, vibration and tension. This paper investigate for the cause analysis of broken accident on messenger wire in catenary system. To analyze the cause analysis of accident, we have conducted experiment such as XRD, SEM, EDX and tensile test.

  • In order to verify autonomous driving scenarios and safety, a lot of driving and accident data is needed, so various organizations are conducting classification and analysis of traffic accident types. In this study, it was determined that accident recording devices such as EDR (Event Data Recorder) and DSSAD (Data Storage System for Automated Driving) would become an objective standard for analyzing the causes of autonomous vehicle accidents, and traffic accidents that occurred from 2015 to 2020 were analyzed. Using the database system of IGLAD (Initiative for the Global Harmonization of Accident Data), approximately 360 accident data of EDR-equipped vehicles were classified and their characteristics were analyzed by comparing them with accident types of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System)-equipped vehicles. It will be used to develop autonomous vehicle accident investigation guidelines in the future.

사고예측모형을 활용한 회전교차로 안전성 향상에 관한 연구 - 전라북도를 중심으로 - (Safety Improvement Analysis of Roundabouts in Jeollabuk-do Province using Accident Prediction Model)

  • PURPOSES : There are many recently constructed roundabouts in Jeollabuk-do province. This study analyzed how roundabouts reduce the risk of accidents and improve safety in the province. METHODS : This study analyzed safety improvement at roundabouts by using an accident prediction model that uses an Empirical Bayes method based on negative binomial distribution. RESULTS : The results of our analysis model showed that the total number of accidents decreased from 130 to 51. Roundabouts also decreased casualties; the number of casualties decreased from 7 to 0 and the seriously wounded from 87 to 16. The effectiveness of accident reduction as analyzed by the accident prediction model with the Empirical Bayes method was 60%. CONCLUSIONS : The construction of roundabouts can bring about a reduction in the number of accidents and casualties, and make intersections safer.

Effect of mitigation strategies in the severe accident uncertainty analysis of the OPR1000 short-term station blackout accident

  • Integrated severe accident codes should be capable of simulating not only specific physical phenomena but also entire plant behaviors, and in a sufficiently fast time. However, significant uncertainty may exist owing to the numerous parametric models and interactions among the various phenomena. The primary objectives of this study are to present best-practice uncertainty and sensitivity analysis results regarding the evolutions of severe accidents (SAs) and fission product source terms and to determine the effects of mitigation measures on them, as expected during a short-term station blackout (STSBO) of a reference pressurized water reactor (optimized power reactor (OPR)1000). Three reference scenarios related to the STSBO accident are considered: one base and two mitigation scenarios, and the impacts of dedicated severe accident mitigation (SAM) actions on the results of interest are analyzed (such as flammable gas generation). The uncertainties are quantified based on a random set of Monte Carlo samples per case scenario. The relative importance values of the uncertain input parameters to the results of interest are quantitatively evaluated through a relevant sensitivity/importance analysis.

가압중수로형원전의 중대사고 대응능력 연구 (A Study on Severe Accident Management Capabilities and Strategies for CANDU Reactor)

  • The realistic cases causing severe core damage should be analyzed and arranged systematically for preparing an accident management of the specific nuclear power plant. The objective of this paper is to establish basic technical information for reactor safety and reactor building integrity management strategies in CANDU reactor severe accident. For the development of severe accident management strategies, plant specific features and behaviors must be studied by detailed analysis works. This analysis scope will serve to cover overall methods and analyzing results to understand the reactor building integrity status in the most likely severe accident sequences that could occur at CANDU reactor. Also analysis results could help prevent or mitigate severe accidents for the identification of any plant specific vulnerabilities to severe accidents using the probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) quantified results.

  • The construction industry has a higher disaster rate than other industries, so safety education and management are highly important. In order to reduce the construction accident rate, it is necessary to study the key safety management factors reflecting the characteristics of the construction industry, where there are differences in processes and manpower input for each process, and a small number of managers. Therefore, in this study, key safety management factors for each Process of construction were derived through cross-analysis between safety accident types and accident occurrence objects through disaster case data. The extracted key safety management factors are expected to provide useful information for safety education and supervision of construction sites.

시스템안전 관점에서의 사고 모형 고찰 - 항공기 사고를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Accident Model from the System Safety Perspective - Focused on Aircraft Accident -)

  • Many organizations apply reactive safety management to prevent the same or similar types of accidents by through investigation and analysis of the accident cases. Although research on investigation techniques has contributed a lot to the objective results of safety accidents and the preparation of countermeasures, many accident investigation techniques currently in use treat accidents from a linear perspective, revealing limitations in reflecting current systems dominated by complexity and uncertainty. In order to overcome these limitations, this study will review recent studies and concepts from a system safety perspective and predict future research trends through a case analysis of aviation accident. The models used in the analysis are STAMP, HFACS, and FRAM, and the characteristics of each technique are presented so that analysts who perform related tasks in the field can refer to them.

  • As buildings become higher, larger, and more complex, safety issues for construction workers working at such environments become more important. We analyzed 140 critical accident cases reported to the KOSHA(Korea Occupational Safety & Health Agency) for construction cranes and lifts by types of cranes and by patterns of accidents and causes. By finding out the accident's types and causes, we expect to develop an efficient measure for preventing similar accidents in the near future. The cases will be studied further and reexamined using the FMEA(Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) as a quantitative analysis method.

항공사진 촬영 왜곡보정기술 개발 및 적용 사례 - Photoshop과 PC-Rect 적용 중심 (Development and Application of Aerial Photographing Distortion Correction Technology - Focused on Photoshop and PC-Rect)

  • Outline map is used for the description and reconstruction of the traffic accident. One way to produce the outline map is by adopting detailed measurements from the accident site such as final position of the vehicle and pedestrian, width of the road, and locations of the oil and tire marks. This method consumes large amount of time not to mention that of the production of detailed version as fine as the picture of the site. Aerial recording equipment so called HeliCam can produce an outline map that can substitute that of manual method with even faster production time and higher resolution. However, the produced picture have errors which are resulted by distortion due to the characteristics of camera and direction of the photographing. This paper provides correction of the distortion of oultline map produced by HeliCam using Adobe Photoshop and PC-Rect. The result showed resonable error range less than 6 cm(0.1%) for $60m{\times}30m$ area taken by HeliCam. The presented method develops outline map with small error, which is useful to traffic accident analysis, and traffic accident cases analyzed in this study were also.
