  • The primary purpose of the study was to review both domestic and international literature and intervention programs designed from an ecological perspective in dealing with issues on family welfare. This study cites several research evidence that indicates why an ecological model is a relevant alternative to investigate issues in family welfare. The strengths of the ecological approach and limitations of the present study were discussed. Suggestions for future research were made based on the review of literature.

  • this study has dual purposes; one is to develope a new theoretical framework in consumer behavior area by applying the human ecological approach, and the other is to test the theory empirically area by applying the human ecological approach, and the other is to test the theory empirically by examining prepurchasing behavior of housing. Research methods adopted in this study are library search and survey research with self-administered questionnaires. The statistical methods used in the survey research are factor analysis, chi square test, and multivariate analysis with crosstablulations. According to the human ecological approach, ecological environments are important sources of consumer needs which , in turn, are satisfied by purchasing behavior in the market. Within this theoretical framework, consumers con improve the quality to life by perceving clearly what their needs are thereby making the most possible efficient purchasing decision making. The major findings of the empirical research on the basis of the theoretical framework are as follows; 1) Housing needs significantly vary with different ecological environment. 2) consumer information search behavior does not differ significantly by housing needs. 3) Housing needs turn out to be an intervening variable between ecological environments and consumer information search behavior. the results of this study show that the human ecological approach is useful in consumer behavior studies. The empirical result that consumer needs are not significantly satisfied by consumer behavior suggests a now direction in consumer education.

  • The purpose of this study was to propose theoretical-practical strategies of family-based intervention for the "Healthy Family-Support Center." The theoretical background used was an ecological approach, that is, taking viewpoints of client family's microsystems as well as those of exo- and macrosystems. This study raised several critical points in researching and developing family-based intervention programs. Based on a review of the literature, the study indicated why an ecological, family-based intervention model was a relevant alternative to investigate issues in family welfare and to deliver possible assistance and solutions for them.

  • The article demonstrates a method of studying human health and nutrition by applying a multi-disciplinary approach and examines how humans developed and survived by adjusting to their environment. This process involves physiological, cultural and genetic adaptation both independently and interactively. This study postulates that a sound human health may be the result of balance between nutrition and environmental conditions. It is noted that there is a positive correlation between malaria and fava bean intake, and sickle cell anemia and cassava intake. It is also suggested that the difference in disease structure in soybean and non-soybean consumption cultures can be explained by an ecological approach to studying nutrition. This study further suggest that the relationship between nutrition and socio-cultural system. epidmiological study of nutrition and cultural environment nutrition and conceptual characteristics, nutrition and food intake pattern, nutrition and health sociological functions and the physioloical, cultural and genetic adaptation can all be stimulating research subjects to be studied form and ecological point of view. This article also includes the results from a series of ecological studies conducted by the author investigating the relationship between nutritional status of Korean breast-feeding mothers and the composition of the human milk and also the Vitamin D status of Korean and their lifestyle. • This study is written with a purpose to foresee the changes of way of life in the 21st century trough recognizing an environment based on a correct ecological world-view and to create environmental design of seeing the nature and humans as one organism. This study is focused especially in environmental design and written generally based on urban ecology human ecology cultural ecology and plant ecology with this multi-interdisciplanary approach,. To understand meaning of ecosytem by considering the theory of ecology for ecological approach of the environmental design and to grope for possibility of applying environmental design by considering what to analyze and how to differenciate concept for ecological environmental plan from the mechanical design. Through this study it was realized that the ecological design starts from the recognistion of seeing the humans and nature as a one and form being aware of signficance of all the living things in our surrounding environment.

  • Challenges brought by applications of advanced technologies in education call for new approaches that can best ensure the provision of quality e-learning experiences. This paper presents an ecological approach as one of such approaches to quality assurance in e-learning that can monitor, assess and improve the effectiveness and the links between the various elements of e-learning. The ecological model for QA in e-learning emphasizes interrelation transactions between elements (e.g. providers, learners, cultures and policies) and systemic integration of those elements, and stresses that all these elements within a QA system play an equal role in maintaining balance of the whole. The model focuses attention both on individual and societal/cultural environmental factors as cornerstones for QA efforts in e-learning. It addresses the importance of QA efforts directed at changing QA transactions from provider-centered to 'all stakeholder-oriented', from one-size-fits-all model to 'globally oriented, locally adaptive model' and from control framework to 'culture creation framework'.

  • This study uses theoretical perspectives and models from organizational ecology to examine the dynamics and viability of strategic groups. Integrating the ecological perspective and the contingency theoretical view of strategic management, this study developed propositions demonstrating the impact of environmental density and variation on the effectiveness of strategic groups. Justifications for linking ecological perspectives to strategic management theory are discussed and the importance of the integrative approach to strategic management is highlighted.

  • Purpose: The current study aims and reviews the current state of research in green awareness' distribution structure using the ecological theory of Ted Hughes who was regarded as one of the best English poets of the 20 century. Ted poetry has innovated ecological distribution. It has inspired so many young people to have a positive energy impact on the environment. Research design, data and methodology: Action research design is an approach used extensively in qualitative content analysis. This design starts by adopting an exploratory claim that develops the research objectives, hence instigating the action process, which involves several strategies. This type of design involves a cyclic process of stance then action. Results: According to the investigation, there are nine solutions that can deal with the green distribution based on previous literature review, applying an ecological approach of Ted Hughes to green awareness distribution. The solutions figured out that Ted's novels had an innovative impact on the environment as it is clear that information is given to society. Conclusions: It is observed that having a highly professional environment is good enough for a structure to go green. But, on the other hand, polluting our environment can endanger species by causing health diseases and environmental problems.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest an environmentally friendly energy system of ecological architecture, with the reference to foreign cases, judge feasibility of it. The ecological architecture is very similar to the natural ecosystem. There is growing international scientific consensus that human activities are having a discernible effect on the global climate. Therefore, with a precise understanding of the concept of ecological approach and concrete perception of the necessity it, an establishment of planning which recognizes the ecological architecture as a organism a same time, ensures diversity, stability and cycling stemmed from the ecosystem to various activities through a ecological structure shall bring the introduction of substantial ecological architecture into domestic realm. As a result, in this Age of industrial science, We are proposing useful materials and suggestion regarding the ecological architecture planning of korean cities, by preestimating the characteristics of a city heading toward the Age of the new ecological environment.
