  • Recently, the danger of fine dust has emerged worldwide. In general, fine dust refers to particulate matter less than 10㎛ and ultrafine dust less than 2.5㎛, and according to the announcement by HEI (Health Impact Research Institute) in 2015, the concentration of ultrafine dust in Korea is the second highest among OECD member countries. It was investigated. In this study, an experiment was conducted to analyze how the diatomaceous earth substitution rate affects the strength characteristics of the permeable block. As the replacement rate of diatomaceous earth increased, the strength decreased. The reason why the strength decreases with the use of diatomaceous earth is that the strength of the hardened body decreases as the structure of the hardened body becomes less dense as the amount of diatomaceous earth increases, and the reason that the strength decreases as the replacement rate of diatomaceous earth increases is the reason for the absorption performance of diatomaceous earth. Therefore, it is judged that a void was generated inside the hardened body while water was absorbed and then evaporated or discharged in the matrix, and accordingly, the strength decreased.

쑥 추출물의 염색성 및 항균성 (The Dyeability and Antimicrobial Activity of Artemisia princeps Extracts)

  • The extracts drawn out from Artemisia princeps by water was concentrated. Using this concentrate the silk and the cotton fabrics were dyed, and they were measured with the K/S value, surface color and mordant quantity in order to evaluate the dyeability and the antimicrobial activity. The results are as follows; 1. The K/S value of the silk fabric was much higher than that of the cotton fabric. And the color yield of the dyed silk fabric was most efficient for the premordanting method. 2. The surface colors on the dyed fabric depended heavily upon mordants used or mordanting methods. For all cases, the value of the dyed fabric was generally dark. For the Cr-mordant among various mordants, the chroma produced clear and the color difference was distinct when using the Fe-mordant. 3. On the other hand the amount of absorbed mordant in the silk fabric was larger than that of the cotton fabric. And the Cu-mordant was most efficient. 4. The color fastness was significantly improved when mordants were added. Cr-mordant improved best in all of the dry cleaning, wet cleaning and perspiration fastness. Iron and abrasion fastness showed over 4-5 grade regardless of any mordant. And light fastness was best in Cu-mordant. 5. The Cu-mordant showed the greatest antimicrobial activity in both of mordant treat silk and cotton fabrics.

  • 從來에 開發된 cryoscopy 裝置는 手動型으로서 一回測定에 所要되는 最少 한時間을 두사람이 測定에 꼬박 關與하여야 하는 不便을 갖는다. 뿐만 아니라 手動攪拌에 依한 不規則的攪拌速度에서 오는 誤差나, Beckmann 溫度計의 感溫部가 나타내는 큰 熱容量 및 判讀時의 視角差차와 波勞度에서 오는 誤差等이 不可避하게 作用한다. 그러므로 本 硏究에서는 이들 誤差를 減少시키기 爲하여 다음과 같이 裝置改良에 依한 自動測定法을 開發하였다. (1) 水槽溫度의 自動精密調節 (2) 感溫部의 熱容量이 매우 작은 thermistor에 依한 溫度測定 (3) 檢流計의 反射光을 感光紙에 照射시켜 轉移溫度를 自動記錄하는 이른바 溫度自動記錄裝置의 開發 (4) 攪拌裝置의 自動化 한편 從前부터 使用되어 오는 10水和物 芒硝는 加入時 一部가 容器壁에 묻어 反應에 關與하지 못하며, 또한 10水和物화물을 部分的으로나마 脫水되지 않은채 保存하여 測定에 使用하기는 어려우므로 本硏究에서는 無水芒硝를 써서 하는 實驗條件을 아울러 究明하였다.

비타민 A 팔미틴산 건조 유제의 제조 및 평가 (Preparation and Evaluation of Vitamine A palmitate Dry Emulsion)

  • Vitamin A palmitate, an oily drug which has low chemical stability and is poorly absorbed in the intestine, was formulated into a novel powdered dosage form. This is designated as a redispersible dry emulsion by freeze-drying technique. Before preparing a dry emulsion, vitamin A palmitate oil in solid in water (O/S/W) emulsion with soybean oil and coconut oil using Aerosil 200 as an emulsion stabilizer and polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene-blockcopolymer (Pluronic F68) as a surfactant was prepared. The resultants of the stability tests indicated that vitamin A palmitate O/S/W emulsion was improved on increasing the oil content of the formulation. The resultant dry emulsion particles have a good stabilities and free flow properties and readily released the oily droplets to form stable emulsions on rehydration. The drug releasing property from the resultant dry emulsion particles was dependent on factors such as amount of oily carrier(soybean oil) and surfactant(Pluronic F68) formulated. Above 80% of vitamin A palmitate content was released from the dry emulsion for 1 hour. It was deduced that vitamin A palmitate dry emulsion was definitely suitable for oral administration, since small droplets of vitamine A palmitate from the dry emulsion may alter the drug absorption profile resulting in bioavailability enhancement.

자성체 물질을 이용한 수중의 세슘제거 동향 (Cesium removal in water using magnetic materials ; A review)

  • Even after the Fukushima nuclear accident in 2011, the rate of production of electric energy using nuclear energy is increasing, but there is a great danger such as the radioactive waste produced when using nuclear power, the catastrophic accident of nuclear power plant, and connection with nuclear weapons. In particular, Cs present in the ionic form of alkaline elements has a long half-life (30.17 years) because it is readily absorbed by the organism and emits intense gamma rays, thus presenting a serious radiation hazard. Therefore, it must be completely removed before it can be released into the natural ecosystem, because it can adversely affect not only humans but also natural ecosystems. Many adsorbents and ion exchangers which have high Cs removal efficiency have been used in recent years to completely separate and remove by self separation in water. In addition, researches have been doing to synthesize magnetic materials with adsorbents such as HCF and PB, and it shows a great effect in the removal rate of Cs present in wastewater or the maximum Cs adsorption amount. In particular, when a magnetic material was applied, excellent results were obtained in which only Cs was selectively removed from other cations. However, new problems such as applicability in the sea where Cs is directly released, applicability in various pH ranges, and failure to preserve the magnetizing force possessed by the magnetic body have been found. However, researches using ferromagnetic field with stronger magnetic properties than those of magnetic bodies is considered to be insufficient. Therefore, it is considered that if the researches combining the ferromagnetic field with the magnetization ability and functional adsorbents more actively, the radioactive material Cs which adversely affects the natural ecosystem can be effectively removed.

벼 재배시 혼합유기질비료 시용이 질소이용율과 수량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Mixed Organic Fertilizer Application with Rice Cultivation on Yield and Nitrogen Use Efficiency in Paddy Field)

  • 혼합유기질비료 시용 후 벼 재배시 무기태질소 함 량, 질소이용율, 수량 등을 조사하여 질소 화학비료 대체 가능성을 검토코자, 화학비료 3요소구, 혼합유기질비료 0, 100, 150% 시용구 등 5처리를 두어 2006년도에 시험을 수행한 결과는 다음과 같다. 혼합유기질비료 100% 시용구 토양 중 $NH_4-N$ 함량은 대조구에 비해 많았으며 표면수에서도 같은 경향이었다. 시험후 토양 중 Av. $P_2O_5$ 함량은 대조구에 비해 혼합유기질비료 100% 시용구에서 많았으나 Ex. K 함량은 적었다. 수도체 중 질소이용율은 혼합유기질비료 100% 시용구가 대조구에 비해 높아 질소 화학비료 대체 가능성이 있었다. 이앙 후 30일, 60일에서 경수는 혼합유기질비료 100% 시용구가 대조구 보다 많았다. 혼합유기질비료 중 질소 함량과 단백질 함량과는 정의 상관, 식미치와는 고도의 부의 상관, 완전립 비율과는 부의 상관이 있었다. 혼합유기질 비료 100% 시용구의 쌀 수량은 대조구 $4,892kg\;ha^{-1}$에 비해 4% 증가하였다. 벼 재배시 대조구의 쌀 수량과 대등한 혼합유기질비료의 시용량은 [질소 토양검정시비량 ${\div}$ 혼합유기질비료질소함량 $(g\;kg^{-1})/1,000{\times}0.93)/1,000$]으로 산출되었다.

벼 1대잡종의 묘생육과 양분흡수 (Seedling Growth and Nutrients Uptake in Hybrid Rice)

  • 수도 웅성불임계통 HR7028A와 IR54756A에 임성회복친인 용문벼를 교배한 1대 잡종과 그의 양친(유지계통, 회복계통) 및 비교품종(장성벼)을 공시하여 1대 잡종에 대한 묘소질 및 양분흡여특성에 대한 잡종강세 현상을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 묘소질(초장, 근장, 근수, 건물중등)에 있어 1대 잡종벼는 양친의 우수친보다는 월등했으며, 특히 지상부보다는 지하부의 생육이 양호하였다. 2. 지상부와 지하부 무기성분 흡수양에서 우수친에 대한 잡종강세 정도는 HR7028A /용문벼가 IR54756A /용문벼보다 켰으며 지상부 무기성분별로는 규산> 칼리 > 질소 > 인산 > 칼슘 > 마그네슘 순이었으며, 지하부에서는 인산 > 규산 > 칼리 > 질소 > 마그네슘 > 칼슘 순이었다. 3. 지상부의 전당, 기분함양 및 엽록소 함량에서도 우수친에 대한 잡종강세가 나타났고, 근절단후 사경재배후 발생한 신근의 특성에서도 1대잡종벼가 양친보다 우수하였으며, 그 정도는 HR7028A/용문벼가 IR54756A /용문벼보다 높았다. 4. 45일묘의 지상부에 비해 지하부의 건물중이 무거울수록 근절단후 발생하는 발근수와 신근의 근활력이 높았으며, 지상부 전당, 미분, 지상, 지하부 무기성분 흡수양 및 잎의 엽녹소 함양과 발근수, 발근장, 발근량(발근수X발근장), 근활력 등과 유의한 정의상관을 나타냈고 이중 발근수와의 상관계수가 가장 컸었다.

The Physiological Suppressing Factors of Dry Forage Intake and the Cause of Water Intake Following Dry Forage Feeding in Goats - A Review

  • The goats raised in the barn are usually fed on fresh grass. As dry forage can be stored for long periods in large amounts, dry forage feeding makes it possible to feed large numbers of goats in barns. This review explains the physiological factors involved in suppressing dry forage intake and the cause of drinking following dry forage feeding. Ruminants consume an enormous amount of dry forage in a short time. Eating rates of dry forage rapidly decreased in the first 40 min of feeding and subsequently declined gradually to low states in the remaining time of the feeding period. Saliva in large-type goats is secreted in large volume during the first hour after the commencement of dry forage feeding. It was elucidated that the marked suppression of dry forage intake during the first hour was caused by a feeding-induced hypovolemia and the loss of $NaHCO_3$ due to excessive salivation during the initial stages of dry forage feeding. On the other hand, it was indicated that the marked decrease in feed intake observed in the second hour of the 2 h feeding period was related to ruminal distension caused by the feed consumed and the copious amount of saliva secreted during dry forage feeding. In addition, results indicate that the marked decreases in dry forage intake after 40 min of feeding are caused by increases in plasma osmolality and subsequent thirst sensations produced by dry forage feeding. After 40 min of the 2 h dry forage feeding period, the feed salt content is absorbed into the rumen and plasma osmolality increases. The combined effects of ruminal distension and increased plasma osmolality accounted for 77.6% of the suppression of dry forage intake 40 min after the start of dry forage feeding. The results indicate that ruminal distension and increased plasma osmolality are the main physiological factors in suppression of dry forage intake in large-type goats. There was very little drinking behavior observed during the first hour of the 2 h feeding period most water consumption occurring in the second hour. The cause of this thirst sensation during the second hour of dry forage feeding period was not hypovolemia brought about by excessive salivation, but rather increases in plasma osmolality due to the ruminal absorption of salt from the consumed feed. This suggests the water intake following dry forage feeding is determined by the level of salt content in the feed.

  • Fluorine is unique chemical element which occurs naturally, but is not an essential nutrient for plants. Fluoride toxicity can arise due to excessive fluoride intake from a variety of natural or manmade sources. Fluoride is phytotoxic to most plants. Plants which are sensitive for fluorine exposure even low concentrations of fluorine can cause leave damage and a decline in growth. All vegetation contains some fluoride absorbed from soil and water. The highest levels of F in field-grown vegetables are found up to $40mg\;kg^{-1}$ fresh weight although fluoride is relatively immobile and is not easily leached in soil because most of the fluoride was not readily soluble or exchangeable. Also, high concentrations of fluoride primarily associated with the soil colloid or clay fraction can increase fluoride levels in soil solution, increasing uptake via the plant root. In soils more than 90 percent of the natural fluoride ranging from 20 to $1,000{\mu}g\;g^{-1}$ is insoluble, or tightly bound to soil particles. The excess accumulation of fluorides in vegetation leads to visible leaf injury, damage to fruits, changes in the yield. The amount of fluoride taken up by plants depending on the type of plant, the nature of the soil, and the amount and form of fluoride in the soil should be controlled. Conclusively, fluoride is possible and long-term pollution effects on plant growth through accumulation of the fluoride retained in the soil.

제형의 차이가 제초제 Cyhalofop-butyl의 생물활성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Different Formulations on the Biological Activity of Herbicide Cyhalofop-Butyl)

  • 제초제 Cyhalofop-butyl을 유효성분으로한 유제, microemulsion, 수화제 및 입제를 제조하여 수도에 대한 약해, 피에 대한 제초효과, 피의 경엽에 대한 부착량 및 흡수량을 측정한 결과는 다음과 같았다. 수화제에서는 원제를 액상화할 수 있는 보조제가 첨가되었을때 피에 대한 살초효과가 증가하였으며, 이는 경엽에의 흡수량 증가와 일치하였다. 그러나 수화제 살포 수용액의 피에 대한 부착력과 흡수량은 정확히 일치하지는 않았다. 유제는 수화제 보다 높은 살초 효과와 엽면 흡수량을 보였다. Microemulsion에서는 높은 부착력과 함께 엽면에 대한 흡수량도 가장 높게 나타났다. 또한 본 원제에 대해서 입제의 적용성을 검정한 결과 유효성분 부상성 입제의 가능성도 확인할 수 있었으며, 피에 대한 살초 효과도 높게 나타났다.
