A Study on the Purchasing Behavior and Choice Attributes of HMR Products by the Middle-Aged and Elderly Based on the Types of Food-Related Life Style: Focusing on Seoul and Gyeonggi Areas (식생활라이프스타일에 따른 중장년층과 노년층의 HMR 제품 구매행동과 선택속성에 대한 연구: 서울,경기지역을 중심으로)

  • Korea's aging population is rapidly increasing, but there has been little research into senior-friendly foods. Therefore, this study aimed to provide basic data for the development of senior-friendly Home Meal Replacement(HMR) foods by conducting a survey among elderly and middle-aged persons highly likely to purchase senior-friendly foods in the near future. Study findings showed that the level of HMR purchase was higher among the middle-aged, many subjects preferred products requiring simple cooking, and a higher proportion of subjects purchased them offline. Five HMR selection attributes were identified, and dietary lifestyles were classified into four categories. Through a cluster analysis, 3 groups based on level of involvement were identified: high-level, mid-level, and low-level. Napping® analysis showed that subjects classified food products into HMR and meal kits, and into products with a clear broth and products with a thicker broth. The study findings are expected to help suggest a differentiating approach in developing senior-friendly HMR foods.

  • Due to the global low birth rate and aging population, there is a growing interest in utilizing robot technology as a solution to address labor shortages. Specifically, mobile robots, which are growing rapidly, have become intelligent enough to recognize their environment and avoid obstacles to carry out tasks. However, the integration of IT technology into these robots has led to an increase in potential security vulnerabilities, and security research has been conducted to prepare countermeasures. However, research to examine the security threats of mobile robots in general is insufficient. To enhance the overall security of robot systems, it is imperative to systematically identify security threats starting from the design phase. In this paper, we identify security threats within the mobile robot delivery service environment using a structured approach that involves Data Flow Diagram and STRIDE threat modeling. Additionally, we visualize vulnerabilities and attack techniques through Attack Tree based on the Attack Library, and a Check List has finally been created to derive security requirements. We have been conducted this study with the hope that the results derived from this study will be utilized in establishing guidelines and policies related to robot security and contribute to the establishment of a safe robot foundation.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze measures to promote a private finance initiative aimed at public facility regeneration in the midst of sharp increase in local financial burden due to the low birthrate and rapidly aging population. In particular, the study looked at the case of promoting a private finance initiative through a local platform aimed at public facility regeneration in Narashino, Japan. The study is based on the relevant systems and policies, and government documents and statistical data on the Narashino case. The results show that the local platform helps the local government and participants share business expertise and experiences, leading to improvements in their expertise and business capability. The local platform allows them to identify and discuss potential business ideas in advance, which in turn encourages private investment business.

  • Over the past decades, changes in economic, social and demographic structures have pushed the growth of care employment across countries around the world. Women's increasing labor force participation has squeezed the time so far available for unpaid caregiving and led to increased demand for paid care services. Population aging and increasing needs for pre-school education also have contributed to the growth in demand for care services. As a result, care workers now comprise a large and growing segment of the labor force in many countries including South Korea. But, there are not a few problems. Especially, we take underpaid and undervalued care work very seriously. care work has been generally characterized as underpaid and undervalued compared with other work in developed and developing countries alike. This study tries to show current situation of care work and estimate the wage penalty for doing care work in Korea using official employment micro-data and applying propensity matching analysis. Especially, recent expansion of social service is a big step up for Korean Welfare State. But, there are not a few problems. Especially, we take underpaid and undervalued care work very seriously.   • 21st Century is getting into Super aging society worldwide basis. Among those population, silver(aged) generation users' physical condition, such as sight, hearing and body, is getting older, especially sight ability which processes 80% of input data, it requires us studying new smartphone GUI designs convergence for the elderly. In light of this social phenomenon, this study suggests smartphone GUI designs convergence guideline for the silver generation through the research of text, icon which are basic elements of smartphone GUI with proper visual attributes. I had inferred UX designs, expert group and evaluation categories from existing papers, related books and designed some displays for the survey. I also offered this guideline with the deep survey of 101 people over 65 years old.

  • Korean agriculture is currently experiencing difficulties as a cause of rural depopulation, aging of rural population, grain self-sufficiency rate decline, and deepening of climate change. It is necessary to ensure our country's agriculture industrial competitiveness in accordance with opening of FTA imports expanded. To ensure the underdeveloped competitive, Korean government defines the 3rd generation model from 1st generation model to extend the smart farms of Korean types. The agriculture smarting overcomes the growth limitations of agriculture, and efforts to develop 6th + ${\alpha}$ industry. In this paper, We define and verify the IoF(Internet of Farming)-Cloud based substantial services about 2rd generation model, and propose a greenhouse of IoF-Cloud testbed.

A Technique for Preventing Noise Induced Hearing Loss Due to Mobile Phone Use Under Noisy Environment (잡음환경에서 휴대전화 사용에 따른 소음성 난청예방 기술에 관한 연구)

  • Human auditory acuity decreases naturally due to aging. But recently cases of impaired hearing at a young age are increasing greatly. The biggest reason for such an increase of population with impaired hearing is popularization of various kinds of portable multimedia appliances. Many studies on impaired hearing due to noises caused by the earphone and headphone are being made, but there are few studies on noise-impaired hearing caused directly by mobile phone communication. Based on a precedent inquiry, this study proposes a technique for preventing noise-impaired hearing applying to an active noise reduction technique onto bone conduction speaker. This technique is a method for reducing noises by antiphase oscillation through bone conduction speaker with ambient noises. If the proposed system is applied, the noise level that is actually introduced to audition decreases by more than 12 dB, and such a decreased amount of sound volume fundamentally prevents the factors of noise-caused hearing difficulty due to mobile phone communication. Sensibility test results showed that adequate communication was possible even in such a situation where communication volume was decreased like this.

  • In order to solve the problems such as reduction of agriculture population, aging and declining of grain self sufficiency rate, agriculture ICT convergence technology utilizing IoT technology is actively being developed. Agricultural ICT technology only concentrates on facility houses, and there is no automated control system in the field of cultivation. In this paper, we propose an irrigation control system that automatically controls the solenoid valves and water pumps in a large area with Lora wireless communication. The proposed system does not require a separate power source by using a small solar panel, and it is very convenient to install and operate supporting wireless auto setup by plug-and-play method. Therefore, it is expected that it will contribute to the reduction of labor force, quality of agricultural products, and productivity improvement.

  • Recent changes in health care environment including aging population and prevalence of chronic disease encourage the adoption of new innovative technological solutions including wearable vital sensors, wireless networks, and smart phone. In this paper, we present an effective at-home lifestyle monitoring system that can be used for self-management and health intervention of patient himself in the Management-by-Exception perspectives. We implemented the filtering and queuing algorithms as a preprocessor of monitoring system to enhance efficiency of proposed system, and the effective UX design for self-management of patients themselves. The 94,467 actual clinic data was used to test the efficiency of the proposed system. As as a result, 64.8% of the incoming vital data was identified to be filtered out.

  • This research is about local impacts of concentrated social disadvantage in a specific urban district, and is discussing these issues by focusing on previous research from Western countries. Further, by analyzing the results of a field survey conducted in this district, I am clarifying the reality of socially disadvantaged areas and the needs of their residents, while seeking results supporting a theory of inclusive area revitalization. With this survey I could verify that the aging of local residents and the concentration of low-income population is increasing, and in this district an unbalanced community mix is becoming apparent. Currently, insecurities concerning economic and health aspects are the most serious issues. In response to the residents' needs counseling on housing issues and social services, that become necessary with advancing age, like health services or housing support, are increasingly required. Since today laws for antidiscrimination (namely, Dowa) measures are outdated it is necessary to establish a community based approach or a neighborhood based governance model, in addition to the existing public support, as response to these local challenges and needs.
