  • A 2-step process for the safe destruction of chemical wafare agents(agent hydrolysis followed by supercritical water oxidation) was studied to obtain kinetic data for the pilot plant design. This process is simple to operate by using commercial equipments and could be applied as an alternative technology to incineration. Sarin(GB) and sulfur mustard(HD) were hydrolysed in sodium hydroxide and water respectively and their hydrolysates and OPA, which is binary agent for GB were oxidized in a continuous flow supercritical water oxidation system. Destruction efficiencies of the materials were above 99.99% in supercritical water.

  • A 2-step process for the safe disposal of chemical warfare agents(agent hydrolysis followed by incineration In the submerged-quench incinerator) was studied to obtain basic data for the design of pilot plant in the future. Sample materials used for the hydrolysis reaction were sarin(GB), sulfur mustard (HD), and methylphosphonic difluoride(DF). The hydrolysates of these materials were thermally destroyed in a submerged-quench incineration system. Experimental conditions for achieving destruction efficiency of 99.99% in both steps were established and phosphoric acid was recovered from the waste water when destroying DF hydrolysate in the incinerator. Treated water could be reused as process water for the agent hydrolysis.

  • Multi-agent technologies are essential in realizing the upcoming ubiquitous environment. In the multi-agent environment, each agent has its own set of services and stores these services in the service repository of the multi-agent system. By using this repository, the user can retrieve the most appropriate service. In this paper, we propose an efficient service repository architecture that can improve the existing agent-based service discovery.

Cooperative Path Planning of Dynamical Multi-Agent Systems Using Differential Flatness Approach

  • This paper discusses a design methodology of cooperative path planning for dynamical multi-agent systems with spatial and temporal constraints. The cooperative behavior of the multi-agent systems is specified in terms of the objective function in an optimization formulation. The path of achieving cooperative tasks is then generated by the optimization formulation constructed based on a differential flatness approach. Three scenarios of multi-agent tasking are proposed at the cooperative task planning framework. Given agent dynamics, both spatial and temporal constraints are considered in the path planning. The path planning algorithm first finds trajectory curves in a lower-dimensional space and then parameterizes the curves by a set of B-spline representations. The coefficients of the B-spline curves are further solved by a sequential quadratic programming solver to achieve the optimization objective and satisfy these constraints. Finally, several illustrative examples of cooperative path/task planning are presented.

  • Multi-agent technology is being regarded as one of the promising technologies for today's supply chain management because of its desirable features such as autonomy, intelligence, and collaboration. This paper suggests a multi-agent system architecture with which companies can improve the efficiency of their supply chains by collaborative operation. Reflecting the practical difficulties of collaboration in complex supply chains, the architecture allows agent systems to share information with only neighboring companies for the coordinated operation. The suggested architecture is elaborated with a collaboration model based on Petri-net, conversation models for communication, and internal behavior models of each agent. A simulation experiment was performed for the evaluation of the suggested architecture. The result implies that when the estimation of market demand is higher than a certain level, the suggested architecture can be beneficial.

  • This paper deals with a development of the system that implements a collaborative design environment with some intelligent agents on the m. Intelligent agents can design collaboratively trough an interchange of messages in their special domains. Such a collaborative design of agents is achieved on the WWW. In this paper, we propose special agents named intercessor and DCM (Dynamic Connection Manager) and suggest new connection architecture using these agents in the WWW in order to improve the pre-existed agent connection architecture. The proposed agents are developed using Java language and JATLite API. We apply the these agents to the new architecture and show some possibilities that the agent connection architecture can be extended in the WWW Agents interchange messages with others using KOML (Knowledge Query and Manipulation Language), agent communication protocol and language, and deal with message autonomously according to their rule base. Agents register and connect dynamically trough the intercessor agent, and infer from their.

  • 분산 시스템 분야에서 최근 P2P 기술을 이용한 연구가 늘어나고 있다. 컨텐츠 정보 제공의 역할을 하는 서버와 피어들로 구성된 P2P 시스템은 일반적인 자원 보유 서버로 구성된 시스템에 비해 서버의 부하가 적다. 본 논문은 에이전트 기반 소셜 네트워크 P2P 서비스를 제공하는 시스템을 제안한다. 본 연구의 목적은 소프트웨어 에이전트에 의한 시각 정보 기반의 가격 결정 메뉴의 사용을 확대하는 것이다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템은 우수한 성공률을 보이는 이전 연구를 기반으로 하는 P2P 서버의 사용으로 영세한 중소업종에 적합하며 이전 연구에 비해 업주의 시스템 인터페이스의 사용성이 높아졌다.

  • 본 논문은 소프트웨어 에이전트의 한 종류인 이동 에이전트를 이용한 검색 시스템에 관한 내용으로서, 분산된 여러 서버에 이동성이 있는 객체들을 보내어 주어진 일을 수행한 후 에이전트로 돌아와 웹서버에게 결과를 전해주고 이를 웹에서 보여주는 시스템의 설계 및 프로토타입을 제시한다. 시스템 설계는 표준화된 객체지향 모델링 언어인 UML을 이용한다. 기존의 많은 시스템에서는 분산된 자료를 얻는 데 있어 지속적인 네트워킹을 전제로 하지만 본 논문에서 제시한 시스템은 도중에 네트워킹이 되지 않아도 주어진 일을 끝까지 수행하며 나중에 네트워킹이 되면 원하는 자료를 얻을 수 있는 장점이 있다. 이 시스템의 구현을 위하여 이동 에이전트로서 IBM사의 순수 자바 제품인 AGLET을 사용한다.

학습을 통한 탐지 모델 생성 시스템 (Detection Model Generation System using Learning)

  • 본 논문에서는 탐지 모델을 자동 생성하여 인력, 시간에서의 효율성과 오탐율을 향상시키는 학습을 통한 탐지 모델 생성 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 탐지 모델 생성 시스템은 agent 시스템과 manager 시스템으로 구성되고 agent 시스템은 탐지 모델 데이터베이스를 기반으로 센서의 역활을 수행하고 manager 시스템에서는 탐지 모델 생성과 모델 분산의 역할을 수행한다. 모델 생성은 유전적 알고리즘에 의해 기존의 정형화된 포맷의 탐지 모델을 학습시켜 모델을 생성하고 새로운 탐지 모델로 적용할 수 있다. 실험 결과에 따라 제안된 데이터 마이닝 기반의 탐지 모델 생성 시스템은 기존의 침입 탐지 시스템보다 효율적으로 침입을 탐지하였다. 구현된 시스템으로 인하여 새로운 유형의 침입 시 탐지 모델 생성과, False-Positive율의 감소를 가져와 기존 침입 탐지 시스템의 성능을 개선하여 탐지모델 생성 시스템을 제안한다.

Identified Contract Net 프로토콜 기반의 유비쿼터스 시각시스템 (A Ubiquitous Vision System based on the Identified Contract Net Protocol)

  • In this paper, a new protocol-based approach was proposed for development of a ubiquitous vision system. It is possible to apply the approach by regarding the ubiquitous vision system as a multiagent system. Thus, each vision sensor can be regarded as an agent (vision agent). Each vision agent independently performs exact segmentation for a target by color and motion information, visual tracking for multiple targets in real-time, and location estimation by a simple perspective transform. Matching problem for the identity of a target during handover between vision agents is solved by the Identified Contract Net (ICN) protocol implemented for the protocol-based approach. The protocol-based approach by the ICN protocol is independent of the number of vision agents and moreover the approach doesn't need calibration and overlapped region between vision agents. Therefore, the ICN protocol raises speed, scalability, and modularity of the system. The protocol-based approach was successfully applied for our ubiquitous vision system and operated well through several experiments.
