The Effects of Interactivity on Consumer's Repurchase Intention in Internet Shopping Mall According to Fashion Involvement and Internet Familiarity (패션관여와 인터넷 친숙도에 따라 인터넷 쇼핑몰과의 상호작용성이 재구매 의도에 미치는 인과모형 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of interactivity on consumer's affective commitment, trust, and repurchase intention according to fashion involvement and internet familiarity. The survey was limited to the respondents over 20 years old males and females living in Seoul and other metropolitan areas who had purchased fashion products in internet shopping mall. The questionnaire was collected from February 1, 2012 to February 12, 2012 and 562 useful data were analyzed using Amos 19. The results of this study were as follows: After respondents were divided into four groups including the high fashion involvement/high internet familiarity group, the high fashion involvement/low internet familiarity group, the low fashion involvement/high internet familiarity group, the low fashion involvement/low internet familiarity group, the path model was verified according to each group. All the paths except 'affective commitment ${\rightarrow}$ repurchase intention' were accepted for the high fashion involvement/high internet familiarity group. Comparing the low fashion involvement/low internet familiarity group with the low fashion involvement/high internet familiarity group, contents-people interactivity had more influence on the relationship with internet shopping mall in high internet familiarity group while people-people interactivity had more influence on the relationship with internet shopping mall in low internet familiarity group. Also 'trust' showed stronger effects on repurchase intention than 'affective commitment'.

Effects of Lay Rationalism, Attitude Dimension and Involvement Type on Intent to Purchase Hedonic Product

  • Purpose - This study aimed at investigating the mediation roles of attitude dimensions in the effects of involvement type on hedonic product purchase intention and moderation role of lay rationalism in the effects of involvement type on attitude dimensions. Research design, data, and Methodology - "Wenjuanxing" was used online to make questionnaire, which was loaded on Wechat and QQ. 125 data were collected online in China. The Process macro model 58 including moderation of the two paths in the causal sequence was used to verify hypotheses. Results and Conclusions - First, cognitive (affective) involvement had positive effect on the utilitarian (hedonic) dimension of consumer attitude and the purchase intention. Second, hedonic dimension of attitude had positive effects on purchase intention, but utilitarian dimension of attitude had not significant positive effects on purchase intention. Third, Lay rationalism did decrease (did not increase) the positive effects of affective (cognitive) involvement on hedonic (utilitarian) dimension of attitude. Therefore Marketing managers should understand the differences between the cognitive involvement and affective involvement, and develop the ways by which they attract consumers to choose their hedonic product. And they should give affective (cognitive) information to the customers with low (high) rationalism consumers when they do marketing for their hedonic product.

A Study on the Effect of Emotional Intelligence on Organizational Commitment and Work Performance of Non-regular Hotel Culinary Staff (비정규직 호텔 조리종사원의 감성지능이 조직몰입, 업무성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of the study is to provide data for an efficient human resources management of hotel corporation by examining if the emotional intelligence with affective involvement and continuous involvement could impact work performance. For the field test and verification, the non-regular hotel staffs from November $1^{st}$ to $30^{th}$, 2016 were selected as the research objects. The research result is summarized as follows. First, the emotional intelligence of non-regular hotel staff impacted positively on affective involvement and continuous involvement. Second, the continuous involvement had a positive influence on work performance. Lastly, the emotional intelligence of non-regular hotel staff appeared to have a positive effect on the work performance. With this research, it may have an opportunity to utilize this study result as an educational material to enhance emotional intelligence of hotel corporation. In conclusion, it may need to introduce an emotional intelligence enhancement program in the hotel corporation. Also, in order to improve work performance, intensive efforts in organizational level would be required by enabling employees to make an affective involvement. Finally, to cope with rapidly changing circumstances, additional empirical study should be conducted that the affective involvement of non-regular hotel staff impacts the work performance.

Fathering Activities Patterns (영유아동기 자녀를 둔 아버지의 역할 행동유형)

  • The purposes of this study are to identify types of fathers who engaged in different patterns of interaction with their children and to examine the characteristics by different fathering patterns. Data are collected from 323 married men with the oldest child under 12 years old, using the structured questionnaire survey method. The major findings of the study are as follows: First, the fathering activities are composed of four factors, which are affective involvement, caretaking, social involvement and discipling. The respondents tend to exhibit the level of fathering activities higher than middle point. Second, using cluster analysis, three types of fathers are categorized: The affective type fathers scored significantly high on dimensions of affective involvement. Whereas the engaged fathers scored the highest on all domains of fathering, the disengaged fathers demonstrated significantly limited involvement. Third, the characteristics which are associated with fathering activities patterns are father's age, job type, work hour, frequency of meetings after work hour, job satisfaction and child rearing attitude. The results of this study suggest several implications to develop parent education program for fathers and their children.

  • Due to multiple information sources, external information search(EIS) is the key issue on smart tourism environments. EIS is more important on experiential goods such as exhibition and convention. Despite the increasing importance of EIS, very little is known about what is the more effective information source in this area. In this paper, we attempt to examine the relations of satisfaction and between both online and offline information. This research analyzes an empirical model including EIS, affective involvement, perceived usefulness, satisfaction to student visitors on exhibition experience. Hence, six hypotheses are developed to test the relations of EIS and satisfaction using the mediating effects of affective involvement. Specifically, we developed a research model by employing the Uses and Gratification(U&G) framework and tested it to understand how student visitors' involvement and satisfaction might be changed according to EIS. Survey data was collected from 203 student visitors on "2014 Expo KCCE" was used to test the model using structural equation modeling. The implications of our empirical findings for both research and practice are discussed.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the environmental factors and the family structure on the academic achievements of their children. Among various environmental factors, the family income, the affective relationship between mother and child, and the mother's educational involvement are considered. Total of 164 mothers with children attending elementary school completed the structured questionnaires. The degree of educational involvement of single mothers was lower than that of mothers of both parents families. In order to analyze factors that affect children's academic achievement, the path regression was performed. The family income and the mother-child affective relationship were found to have indirect effects on the academic achievements of elementary school students through maternal involvement in their children's education.

Consumer's Attitudes Toward Jeans Wear Advertisements by Appeal Type (소구 유형별 Jean 의류광고에 대한 소비자 태도-성적.비성적 소구유형을 중심으로)

  • The present study was made to contribute to thed improvement of the quality of jeans wear advertising, and to the establishment of more effective advertising policy by which the jeans wear advertisements can go well with the unique charateristics of jeans wear. The study analyzed the consumer's attitude and dimention of affective responses toward jeans wear advertisements by type of appeal. The research was implemented through the survery with a representative sample of 344 consumers residing in Seoul. Means, Standard Deviation, ANOVA, Duncan Test, Facor Analysis and Regression were imployed to analyze the data gathered. The results of the study are as follows : (1) There are four dimentions of affective responses toward jeans wear advertisements ; upbeat-activation dimention, erotic-activation dimention, calm-emotional dimention, negative emotional demention. (2) According to consumer's sex, there are significant differences in each dimention of their affective responses. Toward sex-appeal advertisements, men show high degree of affective responses in upbeat-activation dimen-sion and calm-emotional dimension. (3) There is a probability that non-sex-appeal advertisement covers wider range of consumer than sex-appeal advertisements. (4) There is no significant different in affective responses towards both sex-appeal and non-sex-appeal advertisement of jeans wear between and among sex·age and involvement level of consumer. (5) Men prefer sex-appeal advertisement to non-sex-appeal advertisement, while there is no significant differences between the attitude of female consumers toward sex-appeal adver-tisement and non-sex-appeal advertisement. (6) In particular, age of 15∼18 and 30∼35 group of female consumer show very positive attitude toward sex-appeal advertisement. Therefore, there is a need to segment female jeans wear market by age groups. (7) According to the age and the involvement level of consumers, there is a significant differences in their attitudes toward advertise-ment. In case of male consumers, group of low level involvement prefer sex-appeal advertise-ment to non-sex-appeal advertisement. While high level involvement group did not show any significant differences between the attitude toward sex-appeal advertisement and the attitude toward non-sex-appeal advertisement. And the age of 15∼24, low level involvement group of female consumers also more positive attitude toward sex-appeal advertisement than toward non-sex-appeal advertisements.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of negative appeal ads taking social problems as their themes. Two social problem ad themes concerning abortion and drug addiction were selected as stimulus. Questionnaires consisted of questions about affective response cognitive evaluation consumer's characteristics(sex, clothing involvement social problem involvement) and the ad and brand attitudes They were distributed to 200 high school students in Seoul. Results were : 1 The affective response consisted of 4 dimensions(negative inactivating activating positive) and the cognitive evaluation had 3 dimensions(utility·persuasive power creativity awareness) 2. Creativity and awareness dimensions and the ad attitude had positive influence on the brand attitude for the abortion theme ad,. Creativity dimension and consumer's clothing involvement had positive influence on the brand attitude for the drug addiction theme ad . Especially the affective response had no significant influence on the brand attitude. This result suggests that in case of negative appeal ads the affective response does not necessarily degrade the brand attitude while positive cognitive evaluation on creativity and awareness of the could influence the brand attitude favorably through raising attention to the brand resulting in high effectiveness of the ad.

Consumer's Attitudes toward Underwear Advertisements by Appeal Types-with or without Sex Appeal- (소구유형별 내의류 광고에 대한 소비자 태도-성적.비성적 소구유형을 중심으로-)

  • The present study is to analyze the dimensions of affective responses according to the types of appeal in underwear advertisements and to find out the influences of affective res-ponses on the attitudes toward advertisement and brands. The research has been made by normative-descriptive survey method with the sample of 654 consumers residing in Seoul and Incheon. The data gaathered was analyzed by the methods of means, standard deviation, ANOVA, factor analysis and regression. The result are as follows : 1. There are 4 dimensions of affective responses ; Emotional dimension, Negative dimen-sion, Upbeat-activation dimension and Sexual activation dimension. 2. Affective responses to the advertising were different according to the characteristics of the consumers. According to the consumer's sex, there are significant differences in each dimension of their affective responses. To the sex appeal advertisement, man show higher degree of affective responses in Emotional, Upbeat-activation and Sexual-activation dim-ensions, while women show higher degree of affective responses in Negative dimension. 3. In case of female consumers, there are significant differences in affective responses to the both appeal type of advertisements according to consumer's age. As the age is increasing. Emotional dimension and Sexual-activation dimension are increasing, but Negative dimension is decreasing in the Ads with sex appeal. In particular, the 19∼24s age group shows strong responses in the Emotional dimension, Upbeat-activation dimension and Sexual-activation dimension to Ads with sex appeal, while it shows the lowest affective responses in Negative dimension. It represents the 19-24s age group is the most positive one to the under-wear advertisements with sex appeal. Consequently, it is proved that the Ads with sex appeal focusing on this age group can be one of the most effective advertising plans. 4. The involvement gets higher, Upbeat-ac-tivation dimension and Sexual-activation dimension are increasing both in males and female groups. But Negative dimension is in-creasing in the female consumer group of low involvement. 5. The attitudes toward advertisements and brands are comparatively stronger in the advertisements using sex appeal type. Regardless of types of appeal in the advertisements, there is a significant difference in their attitudes tow-ard Ads between male and female consumer groups. When Ads are sexual, attitudes toward Ads and Brands are stronger in the female consumer group. But males consumers show com-paratively strong attitudes toward the advertis-ements and brands in both types of appeal. 6. The age of consumers doesn't make any significant difference in their attitudes toward advertisements and brands in both types of appeal. 7. According to the involvement level of the consumers, there are significant differences in their attitudes toward advertisements. In the groups of low involvement, the female consumers show more favorite attitudes toward the advertisements with sex appeal, while the male group show more favorite attitudes toward the non-sex appeal advertisement. But there is no significant difference in consumer's attitude toward brands according to the types of appeal of the advertisement. 8. The affective responses of the consumers caused by the underwear advertisements have a respectable influence on their attitudes toward the advertisements and brands. This research represents that the advertisers should try to arise consumer's positive affective responses such as pleasant, happy, cheerful and warm-hearted emotions by the advertisements. Based on the above results of the research, it can be said that the consumer's affective responses have a strong effect not only on their attitudes toward adver-tisements but on those toward attitude toward the brands.

The Affective/Cognitive Involvement and Satisfaction According to the Usage Motivations of Social Network Services (소셜네트워크 이용동기에 따른 감정적 관여, 인지적 관여의 형성과 만족)

  • To examine how usage of social network services(SNS) can affect users' satisfaction through their involvement to SNS. This study first explored the usage motives on the SNS by reviewing previous studies which are from the perspectives of usage and gratification theory. The structural equation modeling(SEM) approach was used to validate the model and Lisrel was used to analyze 306 data which were collected from college students who have SNS using experiences. The results showed that the motives of information seeking and self-expression have no significant influence on affective involvement to SNS and other hypotheses were all accepted. In order to investigate the relationship of usage motives-involvement-satisfaction between different genders, path analysis in male group and female group were done respectively. The results showed that in the case of male group, the motivation of information seeking, entertainment, and self-expression have positive effect on affective involvement, while only the entertainment motive can increase the cognitive involvement. In the case of female group, socializing motive and entertainment motive have positive effect on both affective involvement and cognitive involvement, but the information seeking motive and self-expression motive can not influence the formulation of emotion in SNS.
