초등교육용 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 설계에서 아동 감성 기반 아이콘 평가의 필요성 분석 (Analysis on the Needs for the Evaluation of Icons on the basis of Children's Sensibilities in Designing Multimedia Contents for Elementary Education)

  • 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 활용한 교수 학습의 효과를 높이기 위해서는 인터페이스의 설계를 중시해야하며, 학습자들의 정의적인 특성을 또한 고려해야한다. 이에 본 연구는 초등교육용 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 명령어 처리를 위한 인터페이스로서의 아이콘 설계에 초점을 두고, 아동과 성인으로서의 교사의 감성을 비교하여 감성의 차이 존재 여부를 확인함으로써 감성을 기반으로 한 아이콘 평가의 필요성을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 아동이 교사보다 평균 감성이 더 풍부하다는 사실이 밝혀졌으며, 아동 집단 내에서는 도시지역의 아동들이 시골지역의 아동들보다 평균 감성 풍부성이 더 높다는 사실이 발견되었다. 그와 더불어서 아동과 교사지간에는 감성 풍부성의 차이뿐만 아니라 감성의 방향 즉 긍정 부정의 감성 반응을 보인다는 사실 또한 발견되었다. 이러한 결과는 아동들을 대상으로 한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 아이콘을 설계함에 있어서 아동의 감성을 기반으로한 평가의 필요성을 부각시켰다.

유머효과의 시각적 적용과 그 가능성 (A Study on the Visual Application of Humor Effects and its possibilities)

  • The visual humor can be regarded as an original source for creative ideation. There are several types of humor. for example,'wit, satire, irony and so on. These can be motivations of developing an up-to-date idea. Wit differs from most humor in being purely intellectual, rather than relying on incongruities that come up naturally in many situations. The humor of words contains pun, hyperbole, repetition, and comparison or contrast. Especially in case of pun, it can be most important type of humor for making analytical and humorous effects visually. Pun, meaning the humor of double meaning, furnish us with much of our humor. The concept of pun is the most valuable for creating the visual humor by substituting, combining and manipulating symbols. There are essentially three distinct categories of puns : the literal pun, the suggestive pun, and the comparative pun. All types of puns belong to one of these three groups. The definitions are simple to understand and easy to apply for creating the visual humor, In order to develop a better conceptual model, (this researcher) reexamine the concept of humor, the relationship of humor to various types of message processing, and the relationship of humor to various aspects of message. This thesis. is primarily concerned with basic theories of humor such as concepts of humor, types of humor and analysis of humor. And this contains the research of humor's communications effects and theory of humor response with literature reviews. Modem theories of humor response generally fall into three major schools : Incongruity theories, Superiority theories and Arousal (Relief theories. Together these three approaches address the cognitive-perceptual, affective-evaluative and psycho-dynamic dimensions of a subject's humor response. The literature research of humor and humor response theory in communications and visual communications can help the visual application of humor concepts and usefulness of visual humor appeals. This research agreed that the humor and visual humor must be very effective at being as a means for the advertising expression, not for the purpose itself. In addition, this research is aimed at studying significations and usefulness of visual humor through semiotic approaches in the near future. Then it can be essencial research for the appropriate situational uses of humor related to media, product, and audience factors, such as nationality, age, standard of living, sexuality, and so on.

조현병 환자들의 일상적 의사결정 과정에서 무쾌감증 및 자아존중감의 영향 (Influence of Anhedonia and Self-Esteem on Daily-Life Decision-Making in Patients with Schizophrenia)

  • Objectives Decision-making in patients with schizophrenia has been known to be inefficient in both cognitive and affective aspects. The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of anhedonia and self-esteem on the decision-making process in schizophrenia. Methods Twenty patients with schizophrenia and 21 healthy controls performed the 'apparel purchase decision-making task', during which they were asked to respond to the preference, fitness, and price suitability, before making the final purchase decision. Generalized estimating equation and correlation analysis were conducted to explore for the difference of decision making patterns and influential factors between the two groups. Results The patients showed lower odds ratio (OR) of the fitness on the apparel purchase decision than the controls [OR 0.190 ; 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.047-0.762, p = 0.019). In the patient group, there was no correlation between the number of purchased trials and the severity of anhedonia, but the number of purchased trials was negatively correlated with the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale score at a trend level (R = -0.436, p = 0.055). Conclusions Patients with schizophrenia considered the fitness of clothes less than healthy controls on apparel purchasing decisions. Schizophrenia patients with lower self-esteem were intended to buy more clothes.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate elementary school teachers', students' and their parents' perceptions of new experimental grade $3{\sim}4$ science textbooks and teacher's guides developed by revised national science curriculum. 63 teachers, 436 students and their 448 parents were selected from 9 elementary schools selected as model schools, and were administered the questionnaires of the perceptions of the new science textbooks and/or teacher's guides. The results revealed that many teachers had a rather positive perception of the teacher's guides. In addition, most of the teachers, students and their parents, especially the students and their parents than the teachers, perceived positively the new science textbooks. They also had various views of the strengths and weaknesses of the new science textbooks and/or teacher's guides upon cognitive and motivational/emotional/affective aspects. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.

수목원·식물원의 이미지가 수용력 정책 지지도에 미치는 영향 (Images of Arboreta·Botanical Gardens Influence on the Policy Support Related to Carrying Capacity)

  • 본 연구는 수목원·식물원의 이미지가 수용력 관련 정책 지지도에 미치는 영향을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 전국단위의 설문조사를 진행하였으며, 723부의 유효한 표본을 확보하였다. 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석, 상관관계분석, 구조방정식모형을 이용한 분석결과, 수목원·식물원의 이미지는 정서적 요인, 인지적 요인, 형태적 요인으로 도출되었으며, 이 중 인지적 요인이 수용력 관련 정책 지지도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 따라 수목원·식물원의 정책입안자들은 지속가능한 이용을 위해 꼭 필요한 수용력 조절정책을 도입하는 데 있어 방문객들의 지지를 이끌어내기 위해 인지적 이미지 요인을 계획 및 관리요인으로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

Online Community Design: Review of Frameworks and Developing Online Community Construct

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an online community construct, which proposes an inclusive illustration of the structure of online communities, for online community designers. This study reviewed researches from psychology, sociology, management engineering, and practical reports to understand the characteristics and dynamics of online communities. The proposed online community construct visualizes the cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects of online community. As the notion of community originates from geographical groups, and with the assumption that geographical community shares identical characteristics with online community, this study reviewed researches about geographical communities as a starting-point. Then the study went through three main perspectives (1) online community attributes, (2) sense of online community and (3) challenges of online community. Then this study proposed an online community construct that encompasses the reviewed frameworks. The online community can be seen as a congregation of members from two sources. One is from the 'Shared Goal' that meets the personal needs. Given the shared goal, members gather into the community without personal relationship and have more chances to feel the sense of belonging to their needs fulfillment or benefit. This befitting tendency leads to strengthening of membership. Public online forums fall under this classification. The other source is from the emotional connections that are already initiated by personal and casual contacts in the real world. The network of emotional connection can evolve into an online congregation of people under faint boundaries. Although there is no (or weak) shared goal, members are strongly bound to other members. Personal homepage or web log (blog) can be classified as an example of relationship-oriented community.

  • 감성이 기억 및 학습과 밀접하게 관련되어 있다는 최근의 연구결과와 학습의 정의적 측면에 관한 교육계의 높은 관심에도 불구하고 학습자의 감성에 기반한 교수방법이나 학습환경에 대한 체계적인 연구가 부족하다. 면대면 강의와 온라인 학습에서 감성의 역할을 이해하고 긍정적 감성을 촉진하기 위한 노력이 점차 증가하고 있으나, 학습자의 감성을 타당하고 신뢰롭게 측정하는 것은 여전히 도전적인 과제로 남아있다. 감성을 고려한 교육을 실천하기 위해서는 학습자의 기억에 의존한 자기보고식 감성측정도구의 제한점을 보완하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구는 최근 교육학과 인접학문 영역에서 사용되고 있는 감성측정도구를 자기보고, 생리적 신호, 행동적 반응의 측면에서 조사하고 그 도구들이 교수학습 상황에서 어떻게 활용될 수 있는지를 논의하였다. 특히, 실시간으로 학습자의 감성을 편리하게 수집하여 분석할 수 있는 첨단 테크놀로지의 교육적 활용방안을 조사하였다. 이 연구는 향후 실제적인 교수학습 상황에서 감성의 역할을 규명하고 학습자의 감성 변화를 고려한 적응적 학습환경을 설계하는 데 크게 기여할 것이다.

환경 소양 개념의 변천과 환경 소양 측정 연구 (A Study on the Conceptual Evolution of Environmental Literacy and Its Assessment)

  • In this study, after establishing assessment framework and reviewing the conceptual evolution and component of EL(Environmental Literacy) through literature review, through middle school students as population, the level of EL and relationship of its related variables were examined. The investigation was consisted of second and third grades of urban and rural middle schools in Choongbook. The used measurement methods were objective evaluation and Likert-type scale. The questionnaire instrument variables were consisted of 80 items on environmental literacy variables and six items on student gender, area of residence, environmental lesson, degree of environmental concern, environmental information, environmental activity as background variables. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1. Although the broad and obscure concept of EL has been evolved until 1992, it has been developed more systematic and precise after 1992. But there is not still an agreed concept. 2. The subordinate components of EL were consisted of cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects. Both ecological knowledge(KEOC) and environmental skill(SKILL) were determined to serve as two powerful predictors of EL. 3. The level of EL of middle school student was showed statistically significant difference to some variables by student gender, residential area, environmental lesson, environmental concern, environmental information, and environmental activity variables. And the most influential variables of EL in middle school student were environmental skill(SKILL), and locus of control (LOC). Based on the findings of this study, the following suggestions are drawn: It should be established a precise concept on EL as the ultimate aim of environmental education both interdisciplinary cooperation and experts of environmental education and also performed further longitudinal study which assessed multidimensional variables which are able to exactly measure the EL of middle school student.

예비 화학교사 교육에서 클리커 활용에 대한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study on the Use of Clickers in Preservice Chemistry Teacher Education)

  • 이 연구에서는 경북 지역의 사범대학에 개설된 화학교육론 강좌에 클리커로 알려진 교실 응답 시스템을 적용한 뒤 이에 대한 예비 화학교사들의 인식을 조사하였다. 강의 첫 시간에 클리커의 교육적 활용 방법과 사용법에 대해 소개한 뒤, 수업 중 평균 4-5개의 질문을 제시하였다. 이 질문에 대한 답을 예비교사들에게 클리커로 입력하게 한 뒤, 응답 분포를 확인하고 이에 대한 피드백을 제공하였다. 예비교사들에게 제시된 질문은 학습 내용을 회상하는 질문, 관련 내용에 대한 이해정도를 점검하는 질문, 어떤 사안에 대한 견해를 확인하는 질문, 이해가 어려운 내용에 대한 질문이 다양하게 포함되었다. 학기 말에 클리커 활용에 대한 예비교사들의 인식을 리커트 형식과 에세이 형식으로 조사한 결과, 예비 화학교사들은 클리커 활용의 인지적 효과, 정의적 효과, 그리고 매체 특성 측면 모두에서 긍정적으로 인식하였다. 8가지 클리커 질문 유형 중 예비교사들이 선호하는 유형은 개념 이해 질문과 학습 점검 질문이었다. 클리커를 활용한 구체적인 사례와 연구 결과에 대한 교육학적 함의도 포함되었다.

에너지시설에 관한 친환경 메시지 디자인이 대학생의 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Message Design Related to Photovoltaic Energy on University Students' Attitude)

  • This research aims to identify the effect of message design on university students' attitude toward the BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic) and find out its educational availability and implications in environment education. For this purpose, we conducted a survey on questionnaires answered by 244 students of S university at lunch time in the school restaurant with the imaginary scenario that it is required to increase the food price due to photovoltaic-equipment. The students were divided into 9 groups and according to whether the eco-friendly message components are offered and the different rate of a rise in the foods' price. In order to look over various aspects of attitudes, the questionnaires are subdivided into 2 parts according to the classification of attitudes; the preference as an cognitive-affective attitude and the intention of visit as an behavioral attitudes. The results of this study are summarized as follows; (1) The eco-friendly message design has a significant effect on students' attitude. (2) If given explanation including information regarding eco-friendly facility and marking eco-friendly' adject, it has an positive influence on students' preference and intention of visit. (3) It is more effective to offer the information about the reason why the cost increase than just explain the eco-friendly characteristics of object as the message design strategy to attract student's positive attitude. (4) Although it is required to burden a certain scale of cost, students show higher preference and intention of visit if given the eco-friendly message design.
