Although enormous data have been collected in major cities (Korea) by APTS(Advanced Public Transit Systems), most of studies related to bus schedule management evaluation have confined to headway adherence and on-time performance. Therefore, bus operation management have been very lack of using APTS data. This study uses coefficient of correlation to evaluate bus company's schedule management level. However, direct application of coefficient of correlation has inequitable problem because of many limitation(number of vehicle, headway, etc). and so variable calibration method was developed and applied to cope with these problems. Thus, demand-elastic management evaluation index was developed. For verifying the equity of developed index, it is applied to Seoul bus routes. It is expected for the developed index to contribute into the demand-elastic management of bus schedule.

Hyundai Motor Group(HMG) carried out experimental investigation of sunroof buffeting phenomena on a simplified car model called Hyundai simplified model(HSM). HMG invited participation from commercial CFD vendors to perform numerical investigation of sunroof buffeting for HSM model with a goal to determine whether CFD can predict sunroof buffeting behavior to sufficient accuracy. ANSYS Korea participated in this investigation and performed numerical simulations of sunroof buffeting for HSM using ANSYS fluent, the general purpose CFD code. First, a flow field validation is performed using closed sunroof HSM model for 60 km/h wind speed. The velocity profiles at three locations on the top surface of HSM model are predicted and compared with experimental measurement. Then, numerical simulations for buffeting are performed over range of wind speeds, using advanced scale resolving turbulence model in the form of detached eddy simulation (DES). Buffeting frequency and buffeting level are predicted in simulation and compared with experimental measurement. With reference to comparison between experimental measurements with CFD predictions of buffeting frequency and level, conclusion are drawn about predictive capabilities of CFD for real vehicle development.

As the demand for underwater systems providing pollution monitoring, marine ecosystem observation, surveillance monitoring is increased, acoustic modem for short-range underwater communication is spotlighted as one of significant research topics. Typically, in shallow water, it is so hard to analyze acoustic wave which undergoes spreading, absorption, reflection and scattering through transmission that there are limited advanced results. Furthermore, in order for the modem to be loaded in a fixed node or a moving vehicle in shallow water, its size should be small enough. In this paper, we address underwater acoustic channel model and design and implement an efficient micro acoustic modem which is adequate for short-range underwater communication. The developed modem is verified in a lake by varying working range and data rate up to 500 meters and 2 kbps, respectively.

With recent advanced in portable electric devices, wireless sensor, MEMS and bio-Mechanics device, the new typed power supply, not conventional battery but self-powered energy source is needed. Particularly, the system that harvests from their environments are interests for use in self powered devices. For very low powered devices, environmental energy may be enough to use power source. Therefore, in other to made piezoelectric energy harvesting device, PMN-PZT thick film was formed by the screen printing method on the Ag/Pd coated alumina substrate. The layer was 8 layers and slurry where a-terpineol, ethycellulose, ferro B-75001 as Vehicle, PMN-PZT powder used are fabricated by ball mill. The output power quality was be also investigated by changing the load resistance, weight and frequency. The made piezoelectric energy harvesting device was resulted from the conditions of 33$k{\Omega}$, 0.25g, 197Hz respectively. The thick film was prepared at the condition of 2.75Vrms, and its power was 230${\mu} W$ and its thickness was 56${mu}m$. The piezoelectric energy harvesting device output voltage was increased, when the load weight, load resistance was increasing and resonance frequency was diminishing. The other side, resonance frequency was diminished, when the weight was increasing. And output power was continuously it changed by load resistance, output voltage, weight and resonance frequency.

After some period of time, the marine traffic facilities find problems caused by shellfish adhered to inside and inlet of the water column. Therefore, single-channel AFS(Anti-Fouling System) has been applied in order to minimize the deposition of shellfish. However, imbalance phenomenon of ionization of copper electrodes that are used for single-channel AFS appeared. This problem resulted in frequent replacement of anode. In this paper, multi-channel current control system has been developed, as well as the related hardware has been designed and fabricated. Further, experimental study has been undertaken to compare the application of single and multi- channel AFS. Through the sea experiments, it was possible to confirm that the copper electrode used for multi-channel AFS is uniformly ionized.

Large scale fire tests were conducted to develop water mist nozzles as a component of fixed water- based fire fighting systems for Ro-Ro spaces and special category spaces. Fire scenarios for this system consist of two cases which are for cargo fire in a simulated truck and for passenger vehicle fire, and each case has 3 different tests according to the position between fixed water mist nozzles and fire source. Every experiment proceeded for 30 minutes and acceptance criteria were based on gas temperature, fuel package's damage and ignition of targets. This study primarily dealt with the experimental results of cargo fire and focused on fire suppression capability in accordance with discharge pressure, flow rate and flow characteristics like swirl and penetration of the developed water mist nozzles. It appeared that low pressure water mist nozzles with about 40 L/min were able to control fire occurred in Ro-Ro spaces.
The characteristics of a discriminator estimating a tracking error in a signal tracking loop of a GPS receiver can be affected by the noise power, and the slope of the discriminator function is actually lowered as the noise power increases. In this paper, an algorithm to compensate the lowered slope of the function using the estimated C/N0 is studied, and a new design method of a code tracking which provides more accurate tracking error than a conventional one by adopting the compensation algorithm is proposed. Through the experimental results, finally, it has been check that the accuracy of the proposed DLL is enhanced about 50% when the dynamics of the vehicle is 20g/s.
The aim of this paper is to research the change in the turbulent flow and the AOA(Angle Of Attack) occurred by $40^{\circ}$ crosswind to the direction of runway through the three-dimensional numerical analysis and to predict the take-off and landing flight stability. As a result, the maximum amplitude of AOA variation on runway reached $2^{\circ}$ within 3 second because of the wake formed by the constructions in the vicinity of the airport, and the overall effects appeared as an irregular aperiodic forms. Additionally, it was observed that the layout and shape of the buildings effected on the strength of turbulence directly, and the rapid flow generated between the buildings changed into stronger wake and eventually expected that the flow raises serious take-off and landing flight instability.
For the realization of future intelligent transportation systems, fine-grained lane-by-lane traffic monitoring and control functionalities are among the most important technology barriers to overcome. To satisfy the accuracy requirement for traffic monitoring, a GNSS receiver network is designed. The designed receiver network consists of three different types of entities; reference server, broadcaster, and client. For deployment flexibility, all the entities utilize the international message standard RTCM SC-104 version 3.0. For fine-grained traffic monitoring, the client is designed to utilize position-domain carrier-smoothed-code filters to provide accurate vehicle coordinates in spite of frequent addages and outages of visible satellites. An experiment result is presented to evaluate the positioning accuracy of the proposed method.
Autonomous train is investigated to increase the capacity of railroad, and the reliability of wireless communication plays a critical role in terms of decreasing the inter-train distance. In this paper, we propose a transmission scheme for autonomous train communication in highly congested environment. The proposed scheme, namely distributed uplink orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) random access (UORA), applies the triggered uplink access (TUA) and the UORA, introduced in the sixth generation WLAN standard, IEEE 802.11ax, for communication devices on vehicle and platform in a distributed manner. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme efficiently improves the packet transmission success rate in highly congested channel conditions compared to the conventional enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) transmission scheme.
