In recent years increasing production and disposal of wastewater have caused an accelerated eutrophication of receiving waters. Therefore, in order to alleviate the detrimental impact of wastewater discharge, there is an increasing demand for removing the main nutrients, nitrogen and phosphorus, as well as the organic content of the waste water prior to disposal. This is effectively achieved by extended conventional treatment technology. However, the working expenses and energy requirements of such advanced treatment systems are rather high. So in a sparsely populated rural community is required development of wastewater treatment system combined with the regional characteristics. In this study, the systems are planted with Reeds and Amaryllis In A.C and estimated purification potential of system. The results obtained are as follows. BOD removal rate is 20% in the early stage, the last removal rate is 35% in A.C process and is 65% in Amaryllis+A.C process and is 50% in Reed+A.C process. T-N removal rate by Amaryllis is average 2.6g/$m^3$ㆍd, T-N removal rate by Reed is average 1.76g/$m^3$ㆍd. T-P removal rate by Amaryllis is average 0.27g/$m^3$ㆍd, T-P removal rate by Reed is average 0.25g/$m^3$ㆍd. BOD removal rate constant with retention time is 1.4494(1/d), T-N removal rate constant is 0.5428(1/d), T-P removal rate constant is 0.5287(1/d).
This paper proposes an improved signal processing strategy for accurate feedwater flowrate estimation in nuclear power plants. It is generally known that ∼2% thermal power errors occur due to fouling Phenomena in feedwater flowmeters. In the strategy Proposed, the noises included in feedwater flowrate signal are classified into rapidly varying noises and gradually varying noises according to the characteristics in a frequency domain. The estimation precision is enhanced by introducing a low pass filter with the wavelet analysis against rapidly varying noises, and an autoassociative neural network which takes charge of the correction of only gradually varying noises. The modified multivariate stratification sampling using the concept of time stratification and MAXIMIN criteria is developed to overcome the shortcoming of a general random sampling. In addition the multi-stage robust training method is developed to increase the quality and reliability of training signals. Some validations using the simulated data from a micro-simulator were carried out. In the validation tests, the proposed methodology removed both rapidly varying noises and gradually varying noises respectively in each de-noising step, and 5.54% root mean square errors of initial noisy signals were decreased to 0.674% after de-noising. These results indicate that it is possible to estimate the reactor thermal power more elaborately by adopting this strategy.

Forage productivity of two sorghum hybrids, Pioneer(P) 931 and P 956 and a sorghum-sudangrass hybrid, P 988, was studied. The 1st-cut of sorghun hybrids was made for silage 6 times from heading stage at a week-interval and regrowth (2nd-cut) was harvested on Oct. 13 although plants were not reached the same growth stage of 1st-cut. However, the 1st- and 2nd-cut of sorghum-sudangrass were made for green fodder 6 times from 4 weeks before heading stage at a week-interval. 1. Percent dry matter(DM) of 1st-cut of sorghum and 1st- and 2nd-cut of sorghum-sudangrass increased as growth stage advanced. Percent DM of 2nd-cut of sorghum decreased as the 1st-cut date delayed due to insufficient growing period on Oct. 13. 2. In the 1st-cut of sorghum the proportion of leaf blade (LB) or culm+leaf sheath (LS) to total DM decreased, but that of panicle increased as growth stage advanced. The panicle proportion of P 956 increased and culm+LS decreased more rapidly compared with those of P 931. IIowever, in sorghum-sudangrass hybrid the proportion of LB decreased and culmf LS increased as growth stage advanced through heading stage. 3. In the 1st-cut of sorghum hybrids crude(C) protein and C. fiber decreased, but nitrogen free extract (NFE) increased as growth stage advanced although C. fat and C. ash were similar among the growth stages. In the 2nd-cut of sorghum C. protein and C. ash increased, but NFE decreased as harvesting date delayed due to plants were younger although C. fat and C. fiber were similar among the harvesting dates. In the sorghum-sudangrass C. protein of 1st-cut decreased, but C. fiber of 1st-cut and NFE of the 1st-and 2nd-cut increased as growth stage advanced. 4. DM yield of 1st-cut of sorghum increased from heading stage to 3 weeks after heading and then levelled off, but total DM including regrowth was similar among the harvesting time. In the sorghum-sudangrass hybrid DM yield of 1st-cut and total DM yield including 2nd-and 3rd-cut increased as the harvestingtime delayed.

Steam generator tubes for nuclear power plants contain the local shape transitions on their inner or outer surface such as dent, bulge, over-expansion, eccentricity, deflection, and so on by the application of physical force during the tube manufacturing and steam generator assembling and by the sludge (that is, corrosion products) produced during the plant operation. The structural integrity of tubes will be degraded by generating the corrosive crack at that location. The profilometry using the traditional bobbin probes which are currently applied for measuring the profile change of tubes gives us basic information such as axial locations and average magnitudes of deformations. However, the three-dimensional quantitative evaluation on circumferential locations, distributional angle, and size of deformations will have to be conducted to understand the effects of residual stresses increased by local deformations on corrosive cracking of tubes. Steam generator tubes of Korean standard nuclear power plants expanded within their tube-sheets by the explosive expansion method and suffered from corrosive cracks in the early stage of power operation. Thus, local deformations of steam generator tubes at the top of tube-sheet were measured with an advanced rotating probe and a laser profiling system for the two cases where the tubes expanded by the explosive expansion method and hydraulic expansion. Also, the trends of eccentricity, deflection, and over-expansion of tubes were evaluated. The advanced eddy current profilometry was confirmed to provide accurate information of local deformations compared with laser profilometry.
The absorption and translocation of strontium-90 by soybean plant, Glycine max, was studied by applying strontium-90 solution on the foliage or on the soil surface right after the first flowering time under greenhouse conditions. The results are summarized as follows. In the foliar application of strontium-90, only a small portion of the radioactivity was translocated to other parts of the plant and most of it remained in the applied leaves, which should cause soil contamination after falling. In the soil surface application of strontium-90, much of the radioactivity was absorbed through the root and translocated to stems and leaves by different patterns depending on the growth stage.

Effect of temperature during the period of 10 days from transplanting (10 DFT) on the growth and development of rice plants was investigated by transplanting semi-adult seedlings six times from 5 April to 15 May at 10-day interval in the field conditions of 2020 and 2021, with aims to investigate the critical temperature for early transplanting of temperate rice. In the two experimental years, mean temperature for 10 DFT appeared 9.1, 10.5, 11.6, 13.8, 13.9, 16.2, 16.4, 16.7, 17.1, 17.8℃ depending on the transplanting date. Mean temperature of 9.1℃ and 10.5℃ for 10 DFT appeared in the April 5 and April 15 transplants in 2020 showed negative or no effect on the increase of rice growth and acceleration of heading date when compared to those of right after transplanting treatments in the same year. Mean temperature of 11.6℃ for 10 DFT appeared in the April 5 transplant in 2021 demonstrated greater biomass from early to heading stage but the same heading date compared to April 15 transplant, indicating that 11.6℃ for 10 DFT had a positive effect on rice growth but no effect on advanced heading. Both more biomass and advanced heading stage were observed when the mean temperature for 10 DFT was 13.8℃ or higher, compared to those of right after transplanting treatments. These findings indicate that effective 10-DFT mean temperature for rice growth exists between 10.5 and 11.6℃, and that for rice development in terms of heading stage lies between 11.6 and 13.8℃ in natural condition. Further field and indoor studies are suggested to narrow down the critical temperature for early transplanting of temperate rice, which will enable to maximize the crop period in high altitude regions with low temperature.
This study classified paddy fields according to rice varieties and monitored temporal changes in rice growth using SAR backscatter coefficients (${\sigma}^{\circ}$). A growing period time-series of backscatter coefficients was set up for nine fine-beam mode RADARSAT-1 SAR images from April to October 2005. The images were compared with field-measured rice growth parameters such as leaf area index (LAI), plant height, fresh and dry biomass, and water content in grain and plants for 45 parcels in Dangjin-gun, Chungnam Province, South Korea. The average backscatter coefficients for early-maturing rice varieties (13 parcels) ranged from -18.17 dB to -6.06 dB and were lower than those for medium-late maturing rice varieties during most of the growing season. Both crops showed the highest backscatter coefficient values at the heading stage (late July) for early-maturing rice, and the difference was greatest before harvest for early-maturing rice. The temporal difference in backscatter coefficients between rice varieties may play a key role in identifying early-maturing rice fields. On the other hand, comparisons with field-measured parameters of rice growth showed that backscatter coefficients decreased or remained on a plateau after the heading stage, even though the growth of the rice canopy had advanced.
Available-to-promise (ATP) exhibiting availability of manufacturing resources can be used to support customer order promising. Recently, one advanced function called Capable-to-promise (CTP) is provided by several modern APS (advanced planning system) that checks available capacity for placing new production orders or increasing already scheduled production orders. At the customer enquiry stage while considering the order delivery date and quantity to quote, both ATP and CTP are allocated to support order promising. In particular, current trends of mass customization and multi-side production chain derive several new constraints that should be considered when ATP/CTP allocation planning for order promising - such as customer's preference plants or material vendors, material compatibility, etc. Moreover, ATP/CTP allocation planning would be executed over a rolling time horizon. To utilize capacity and material manufacturing resource flexibly and fulfill more customer orders, ATP/CTP rolling planning should possess resource reallocation mechanism under the constraints of order quantities and delivery dates for all previous order promising. Therefore, to enhance order promising with reliability and flexibility to reallocate manufacturing resource, the ATP/CTP reallocation planning mechanism is needed in order to reallocate material and capacity resource for fulfilling all previous promised and new customer orders beneficially with considering new derived material and capacity constraints.

The wild silkmoth, Samia cynthia pryeri, was firstly collected at Miryang, Korea. The development and quantitative characters of S. cynthia preyri in the laboratory condition were analysed. The larval body color of dark yellow green or light yellow green of the S. cynthia pryeri was changed into white color during the molting period, and the yellowish bristles in younger larvae were changed into fade green color in advanced stage larvae. Aralia elata and Zanthoxylum piperitum were newly identified as host plants to S. cynthia pryeri. Cocoon weight and cocoon shell percentage were average 2.14 g and 12.3 %, respectively. In addition, the morphology of the silkgland was different from that of the domestic silkworm,Bombyx mori, but was identical with that of the wild silkmoth, Antheraea yamamai.
