Recently there is growing concern regarding the service industry in Korea, especially the food service industry. The form of food service industry has become larger and speciallized by means of either implementing marketing programme in individual companies or the entrepreneurs' possesstion of chain stores. As the food service industry has extended throughout the whole of Korea, It has contributed enormously to the regional economy. These phenomena is based on the following facts; the increase in income level, the fast economy growth and change, rapid reform of social structure, and the change in status of the labor population. To meet these changes and reforms the food service industry in Korea has to form a new ideology that takes into account the interaction with globalization, the phenomena of instant-food consumption habit, a general increase in the those who eat-out, the two faces of luxury, and the blending of domestic extravagance and practicality, especially the influence of imported brands on advance technology and system utility on the economic section and style as a whole.

Wireless sensor networks are subject to highly heterogeneous system requirements in terms of their functionality and performance due to their broad application areas. Though the heterogeneity hinders the opportunity of developing a single universal platform for sensor networks, efforts to provide uniform, inter-operable and scalable ones for sensor networks are still essential for the growth of the industry as well as their technological advance. As a part of our work to develop such a robust platform, this paper presents the software architecture for sensor nodes with focus on our sensor node operating system and its configuration methodology. Addressing principle issues in its design space which includes programming, execution, task scheduling and software layer models, our architecture is highly reconfigurable with respect to system resources and functional requirements and also highly efficient in supporting multi-threading under small system resources.

In the concrete structures, cracks occur in various causes and the cracks seriously affect the functions of structures. The analysis techniques of progressive crack in the concrete have been improved with the advance of numerical techniques. The discrete crack model used in finite element program for the analysis of progressive failure is very effective, but it can not be easily implemented into numerical procedures because of difficult handing of nodal points in finite element meshes for crack growth. This paper introduces one of the techniques which skips the difficulty. In this paper, the modeling of progressive failure using finite element formulation is explained for the analysis of concrete fracture. The discontinuous element using the discontinuous shape function and the dual mapping technique in the numerical integration are implemented into finite element code for this purpose. It is shown that developed finite element program can predict the quasi-brittle behavior of concrete including ultimate load. The comparisons of the analysis results with other data are also shown.

Cleft lip and palate is the most common teratologic condition of oromaxillofacial units, probably associated with genetic and environmental causes. The goal of cleft surgery is to optimize facial esthetics and stomatognathic function while minimizing growth disturbances from surgical intervention. In this article, the author suggests the recent surgical strategies that minimize cleft nasal deformity and midfacial skeletal constriction. From the author's surgical experiences and literature reviews, only considerate surgeries would achieve functional improvement and facial esthetics in patients with cleft lip and palate.

The purpose of this study is to identify the driven factors affecting the changes in energy-related $CO_2$ emissions in Hebei Province of China from 1995 to 2013. This study confirmed that energy-related $CO_2$ emissions are correlated with the population, urbanization level, economic development degree, industry structure, foreign trade degree, technology level and energy proportion through an improved STIRPAT model. A reasonable and more reliable outcome of STIRPAT model can be obtained with the introducing of the Ridge Regression, which shows that population is the most important factor for $CO_2$ emissions in Hebei with the coefficient 2.4528. Rely on these discussions about affect abilities of each driven factors, we conclude several proposals to arrive targets for reductions in Hebei's energy-related $CO_2$ emissions. The method improved and relative policy advance improved pointing at empirical results also can be applied by other province to make study about driven factors of the growth of carbon emissions.

빠른 경제 성장으로 인하여 대학은 교육의 질적인 면보다는 많은 수의 졸업생을 배출하는 데만 집중해왔다. 그러나 정보화사회가 도래하면서 대학 졸업생들은 다양한 문제를 해결할 수 있는 능력을 갖추도록 요구되고 있다. 또한 정보기술이 발전할수록 해결해야 할 문제들이 점점 더 복잡해지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 산업체와 학계의 정보기술 전문가들과 인터뷰를 통하여 기존의 정보기술 교과과정을 분석하였다. 그리고 현업에 종사하고 있는 졸업생들의 역할에 기반을 두고 인터넷정보과에 적합한 새로운 교과과정을 제시하였다.

Samsung Electronics global strategy involves seven main regions: North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, China, the CIS and Latin America. Samsung Electronics is dedicated to helping the local communities where it does business, helping to advance local economies and develop products that best suit local needs. This case attempts to introduce the localization strategies of Samsung Austin Semiconductors especially with respect to the community service programs. Samsung Austin Semiconductors develops a framework for a firm to adapt in a foreign environment creating corporate citizenship. This model surely helps the firm to adapt, survive and grow even in a hostile foreign environment.

In this paper, I illustrate the situations and problems rail industry is faced with. The rail industry has been suffering deficiency in investment with low technical level. Lacks of strategic marketing plans and low competitiveness in the industry led to a small portion of modal share, estimated at 12.6% in 2001(person base). Recently, rail industry has caught up with the current flow of changes. For example, a prototype of Korea high speed train had been manufactured to be successfully tested on commercial track. And the amount of rail investment increased gradually. The rail industry of EU nations, America, Japan reveals good outcomes, which keeps the balance in the black thanks to growth of investment in rail and high technical level. I have come up with some ideas for improvement, which I believe will be helpful to lead the rail industry. First, I suggest the upbringing of rail industry and technology on a national level. Second, expanding the rail network with the rail modernization. Lastly, I think it is crucial to establish a law and institution before we advance into overseas markets.

Research and innovation are widely agreed to be major driving forces behind long-term productivity and economic growth. However, the relationships have proven to be difficult to quantify. We make reference to the international literature and draw on recent research for Australia to advance our understanding of these relationships. Particular focus is on assessing the impact of publically financed R&D on productivity. The conclusions have implications for government innovation policies, providing insight into possible productivity gains from funding reallocations. Specifically, the findings suggest that government research agencies and higher education are areas in which investment leads to more potential productivity gains.

최근에 ISM대역과 기존의 주파수대역을 용도에 관계없이 또는 몇 종류의 용도를 포괄적으로 지정하여 허가·신고 없이 사용할 수 있는 개방용 주파수에 대한 움직임이 나타나고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 비허가 주파수대역 및 개방용 주파수에 대한 세계 각국의 동향, 주파수대역, ISM대역의 개방용 주파수 적용에 대한 세계의 움직임을 검토하였다.
