The subjects were 287 parents raising second and third year students at middle schools. They were intentionally sampled from the middle schools at Seoul, Gyeonggi, Daejeon, Donghae, Samcheok and Changwon. This study results can be summarized as follows: First, the degree of aid expectation for parent education for family leisure was high. The degree of aid expectation by demographic variable showed significant differences, according to the educational background of father, religion of parents and job of parents. Second, among family leisure activity types, education needs for education- and experience-oriented activities were highest. The average education needs for family leisure activities, including each family leisure activity type, were 2.95/4, which was relatively high. Third, as for the needs of parent education methods for family leisure of the parents raising adolescent children, the needs for program contents were highest in attending lectures. Weekday mornings and children's non-vacation season were the highest program practicing times. In teaching methods, participating activities showed the highest needs; in session, one or two second sessions were the highest.
The purpose of this study us to determine the adolescents' leisure activity pattern, leisure constraints and leisure satisfaction and to identify the relevant variables. The subjects were middle and high school students. The data was collected by using the questionnaire and the final 741 cases were analyzed by SPSS Win 10.0 program. The major findings were as follows: 1. The adolescents' leisure activity hours were 2.27hours/day(weekday), 4.20hours/day(Saturday) and 5.35hours/day(Sunday). On weekdays, female students spent more time for leisure activity than male students. The most frequent activities were watching TV and playing computer. 2. The adolescents' leisure constraints were social-economic, psychological and situational. The degree of the adolescents' situational constraint was the highest. 3. The adolescents' leisure satisfactions were leisure use, leisure condition and leisure meaning. The adolescents' degree of leisure meaning satisfaction was relatively high. 4. The major related variable influencing the leisure satisfaction were psychological constraint, situational constraint and gender.
Being able to enjoy leisure time for adolescents is a necessary activity, for it helps them relieve their anxiety and stress and develop their potential. It is necessary to incorporate such spaces in the housing plans in advance and support diverse community activities. The current living spaces do not hold proper spaces and facilities for community activities appropriate for adolescents. Community facilities should be planned so as to reflect the needs of these adolescents, based on a clear survey in advance. The current study has conducted a survey to find out about the level of satisfaction and requests from adolescents on the leisure facilities their current living spaces hold. Based on this prior research, this study looks for solutions that could solve the issue at hand. The current community facilities are not convenient to support a diversity of leisure activities to the adolescents. The community facilities should be able to supplement information on the various activities put in place for the youth and widely supply the programs in demand. Furthermore, the adolescents wanted to form their own community within the facilities to practice their leisurely activities. We can safely assume that the youth's desire for more community amenities will increase for their own development.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between cyber leisure activity and autonomic function in high school students. Methods: The subjects of this study were 242 second graders at high school located in D city. The research design was descriptive correlation study. Data were collected from August 26 to September 17, 2010, using a cyber leisure questionnaire and heart rate variability (SA-6000, Medicore, Korea) for autonomic function. Results: Total time for the cyber leisure activity was $391.3{\pm}262.0$ (min/week). Time for internet usage and computer game was $234.5{\pm}140.1$ (min/week) and $156.8{\pm}164.3$ (min/week), respectively. There were significant positive correlation between total cyber leisure time and sympathetic activity (r=.247, $p$ <.001). Conclusion: Excessive cyber leisure activity could increase sympathetic activities in high school students. Thus, nursing intervention to reduce the total cyber leisure time will be helpful to improve their neurophysiological status.
The effects of regular and active leisure activities on positive growth and development in adolescents are widely known. In our society, however, it is challenging to enjoy or expand such activities due to diverse constraints. Under unfavorable circumstances, this study attempted to investigate the application of time availability for liberal leisure activities as a way to help adolescents engage in active leisure activities. Specifically, this study examined the relationship between time availability (both individual and structural) and the time invested in leisure activities at youth training centers which support such leisure activities. The study found the following results: As both individual and structural time availability expanded, the time invested in leisure activities increased as well. Based on these results, this study discussed policy and practice implications regarding the support of adolescents' leisure activities.
Adolescents motivation and ability to participate in leisure activities were investigated in this study. Relevant variables were also explored. The participants were middle and high school students.'rho data were collected by using a survey questionnaire. Seven hundred and forty one cases were used for data analysis. Major findings were as follows: 1 Adolescents 'motivation to participate in leisure activities was classified into four subcategories: self-development','sociality training', 'relaxation', and 'fun'. 1. The 'relaxation motivation' was the highest among the adolescents, and' sociality training motivation 'was lowest. High school students had relatively stronger motivation than middle school students. B. Adolescents 'ability to perform leisure activities consisted of 'control' 'enjoyment', and 'self-confidence'. 4. Male students had a higher leisure activity performance ability than female students. The score for' enjoyment ability 'was the highest, followed by 'self-confidence', and then 'control ability' 5. Major variables that influenced the leisure performance ability were gender, leisure attitudes, self-development motivation, sociality training motivation, and relaxation motivation.

Methods: Data were from Adolescent Health Behavior Online Survey (KYRBS) in 2015 including 63,345 adolescents aged 12-18 years. The analysis investigated low-weight and overweight/obesity odds ratio(OR) according to study sitting time and leisure sitting time adjusted for sex, school grade, social-economic status(SES), physical activity and sleeping time. Results: After adjusting for sex, school grade, SES, physical activity and sleeping time, study sitting time and leisure sitting time were not significantly associated with low-weight. However, leisure sitting time was positively associated with overweight/obesity. Conclusions: Health program to less sitting time should be established with consideration for differences in risk according to sex, age, SES and active leisure time through the school physical class should be provided to adolescents. Additionally, strategies to promote healthy weight are required to integrate sitting time, physical activity and sleeping time in Korean adolescents.
