According to the perspective of capital structure theory, we analyzed the dynamism of the capital structure determinants by using panel data of 244 KOSDAQ firms based on two-step GMM system methodology suggested by Blundell Bond(1998). This dynamic methodology had not been used to analyse capital structure determinants in Korea. In the dynamic model of capital structure, profit had negative effect on the book leverage and market leverage, which meant supporting pecking order theory. Growth opportunity (MBR) affected negatively to the market leverage. For the determinants of leverage, earnings volatility had significantly positive effect on KOSDAQ 50 firms. KOSDAQ and KOSDAQ 50 firms had the target leverage. The adjustment speed in KOSDAQ firms was 0.4958 on the book leverage, it was faster than in KOSDAQ 50 firm's 0.2863 on the book leverage and the adjustment speeds for the market leverage were 0.7651 for KOSDAQ firms and 0.5643 for KOSDAQ 50 firms. There was difference in adjustment cost between KOSDAQ firms and KOSDAQ 50 firms.

This study analyzed the vulnerable areas to the fire service in regard to 119 safety centers, currently established in Jinju city. In this study, the district of fire was examined through the analysis of the OD cost matrix to find the transference or increase methods of the existing centers for improving the fire services. The study results demonstrate that the numbers of 119 safety centers were lacking in comparison with the areas of the administrative district in Jinju. In particular, relocation and the transference or increase of centers were required for the Cheonjeon 119 safety centers, which is the creation area of the National Industrial Complex among five 119 safety centers located in Jinju, and the fire service jurisdiction of Munsan 119 safety centers (including Banseong 119 regional unit), which is the location of a big fire risk due to the increase of population according to the development of the new town. In addition, the OD cost matrix analysis in this study reveals the fact that the time of fire service in the Jeonchon Industrial Complex, which is the significantly vulnerable area, will be reduced from 8 minutes to 3.3 minutes if the current Cheonjeon 119 safety center is moved to Gaho-dong. It indicates that the increase of safety centers in Geumsan-myeon areas, where the population has increased rapidly in recent days due to the development of the new town, is keenly needed.
Sales of the Korean clothing industry grew to 16.9 percent on-year in 2010, but the growth rate dropped to 3 percent from 2011 to 2016 and the overall market began to slump to 1.1.6 percent in 2017. The competitiveness of clothing companies is also a major sector in logistics capability, and the average logistics cost of domestic clothing companies is 8.3 percent of sales in 2011, higher than the average 8 percent of domestic industries, and 36.4 percent of the total storage cost in 2011, higher than the 28.8 percent share of the total storage cost of domestic companies. As domestic production conditions such as wage hikes and labor disputes worsened in the 1990s, production facilities were rapidly moved overseas, which led many clothing companies to have no production facilities or a minimal production base in Korea and focus on marketing and design capabilities. The total storage capacity and storage efficiency of the logistics center became very important as the products were changed to the form of mass warehousing and small-volume forwarding. Research shows that building column spacing, a model of this research, can affect the amount of hanger rack storage empirically, so for sustainable growth of clothing companies, it is necessary to improve competitiveness in the logistics market by reducing costs and improving efficiency to overcome difficulties in corporate management. Because logistics costs are 8.3 percent and operating profit to sales ratio is 2 percent, it is expected that operating profit will increase by 41.5 percent if logistics costs are reduced by 10 percent. If 10% of storage cost is saved based on storage cost, operating profit is expected to increase by 15% To strengthen the competitiveness of the clothing industry, a reduction in logistics costs is essential. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide hints that logistics experts can have empirically small amounts in reducing storage costs through column spacing adjustment of logistics centers that have not been dealt with statistically until now, and to contribute to the continued growth of clothing companies and the development of the domestic logistics industry.
Various applications of LBS (Location Based Services) are being developed to provide the customized service depending on user's location with progress of wireless communication technology and miniaturization of personalized device. To effectively process an amount of vehicles' location data, LBS requires the techniques such as vehicle observation, data communication, data insertion and search, and user query processing. In this paper, we propose the historical location index, GIP-FB (Group Insertion tree with Flexible Buffer Node) and the flexible buffer node technique to adjust the cost of data insertion and search. the designed GIP+ based index employs the buffer node and the projection storage to cut the cost of insertion and search. Besides, it adjusts the cost of insertion and search by changing the number of line segments of the buffer node with user defined time interval. In the experiment, the buffer node size influences the performance of GIP-FB by changing the number of non-leaf node of the index. the proposed flexible buffer node is used to adjust the performance of the historical location index depending on the applications of LBS.
Compared to the EU, which legislates the Carbon Border Adjustment System (CBAM), the United States' carbon border adjustment policy movement is still relatively slow. Recently, however, a related bill has been proposed in the United States, and research institutes have been presenting research results on how to introduce an upstream carbon tax rather than an emission trading system and carry out carbon border adjustment based on it. Therefore, in this study, we looked at the economic and environmental effects of introducing this type of upstream carbon tax and carbon border adjustment in Korea. If an upstream carbon tax of KRW 30,000 per ton of CO2 is applied to the net supply of domestic fossil energy, the expected carbon tax revenue is approximately KRW 22.9961 trillion, equivalent to about 5.7% of the total revenue of the Korean government of KRW 402 trillion in 2019. In addition, the carbon dioxide content of the steel sector, calculated based on the energy supply and demand status of the steel sector, which emits the most greenhouse gas emissions in Korea and has a considerable amount of overseas exports, was 106.22 million tons of CO2. On the other hand, assuming that the upstream carbon tax of 30,000 won per ton of CO2 embodied is directly passed on to the production cost of the steel sector, the carbon tax burden in the steel sector is estimated to reach approximately KRW 3.1865 trillion. Even after deducting KRW 1.1599 trillion in export refunds estimated by using the share of exports of steel products, the net carbon tax burden on steel products for domestic demand amounts to KRW 2.0266 trillion, which is analyzed to act as a factor in increasing the price of steel products.

This study was conducted for the purpose of presenting basic data for calculating a more reasonable landscaping project cost in the future through the construction cost calculation ratio of scenic planting and facilities and their time series trend analysis targeting 'J' corporation, a representative Korean public institution that creates apartment complexes. This study targeted scenic planting and the facility construction costs of 37 apartment complexes in the capital area from 2004 to 2012, using statistical analysis methods such as technical analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis to analyze the characteristics of the time series change. The conclusion was drawn as follows. First, breaking down the cost of overall landscaping projects to scenic planting and facility construction, the ratio of the average cost of scenic planting to that of facility construction showed 56.1% to 43.9% from 2004 to 2012. Second, the costs of planting construction and facility construction both showed a fluctuation range of about ${\pm}3%$, implying relatively steady costs considering the inflation rate. Third, the landscape construction cost for each type of construction resulted in a fluctuation range from minimum ${\pm}3%$(exercise facility) to maximum ${\pm}5%$(packing facility), reflecting that among the landscaping projects, the facility construction costs tended to show relatively large fluctuations in accordance with the change of time series. Fourth, the comprehensive indication of the ratio of landscaping project costs by time series and landscaping construction type implies that the regional characteristics and positional condition of the apartment complexes were not reflected sufficiently. Fifth, the high level of correlation of landscaping construction types and landscaping construction elements imply that the entire construction costs were controlled through partial adjustment of cost components within the overall frame of construction cost. These results reveal the problems of standardized landscaping cost irrespective of user satisfaction or environmental traits such as the conditions of the apartment complexes.
Limited studies examined Medical Aid recipients' perception for amount of medical use. This study aimed to identify self-perception(optimal, under and overutilization) for amount, and real amount of medical use, and to determine factors associated with the perception. Subjects were 2,489 Medical Aid recipients among top 2% overusers in 2005. 200 case managers(CM) managing them conducted survey. CM interviewed them using 2005 medical claiming data from the Health Insurance Review & Assessment Service and structured questionnaire. Despite of overusers, perception of overutilization was only 26.9% and 23.6% in Class I and Class II, and that of underutilization was 21.4% and 18.7% respectively. In Class I, monthly total outpatient cost per capita of overutilization perception in 2006 was 206 thousand won higher than 150 thousand won of optimal utilization. Amounts of outpatient visit-days and prescribed cases of overutilization perception were higher than those of optimal and underutilization(p <0.0001). In Class II, overutilization perception had more prescribed cases(p 0.004). After adjustment of confounding factors including age and sex, the associated factors(odds ratio) with overutilization perception were hypertension(1.25), arthritis(1.32), depression(1.66), visit of multi medical institutions(3.09), and those of the underutilization were female(1.34), disabled(1.27), no family support(1.49), living in medium and small city(1.48), experience of unabled-visit to medical institution(2.54), frequent visit-recommendation from physician (1.36). In conclusion, education and consult are needed for subjects to improve the reasonable decision of medical use, and the self-care ability to manage diseases and symptoms. We suggest reinforcing the alternative service in community instead of costly medical institution.
Composition depending on the development of industrial sites are located just within the existing facilities are hoping to become a retention, in accordance with the law will impose a liability amount. Then calculating the profit and loss analysis of the retention is required. In other words, the composition of the industrial site will be retained for existing facilities and the amount of the profit is necessary to analyze. In this study, the calculation of expenses and the income of retained existing facilities will be presented with analytical methods. Especially the existing cases of dispute with the results of the adjustment and the calculation of contributions for a range of benefits associated with the analysis according to 'The Industrial Sites and Development Act', the following conclusions were drawn. According to 'The Industrial Sites and Development Act', the facility at the industrial site composition within the limits of increasing the convenience of being charged is reasonable. In particular, the industrial site of buildings located within existing facilities depending on the composition and future industrial sites are public facilities available for the facility to consider the possibility of calculating contributions to be reasonable. Additional benefits which can be the land prices, tax exemptions, and increasing efficiency of land use for the benefits are not yet realized the benefits against the expenses side, as well as imposing double taxation. Therefore, the heavy emphasis on convenience is not considered to be reasonable. Including in the industrial site, the cost of damages caused, that is, noise, pollution, and the defective product possibility should be considered a side opinion, but it still does not promote the development of states estimated the cost of the damage is not right to be counted. Therefore, this facility should not be included in calculating contributions.
Until recently, photogrammetric applications for processing the satellite images and remotely sensed data have been used in different structure of functions and interfaces for sensor modeling by each developer. Thus, a standardized utilization procedure was necessary to solve the problems, such as expandability, cost, inefficiency of sources which were resulted from different approaches. Therefore, National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) provided unified interfaces by developing Community Sensor Model (CSM) to sensor models in same way. In this study, we suggested the method of design and analyzed main functions needed modeling for the frame sensor using CSM Application Program Interface (API) provided by NGA. We also applied the designed structure to the modeling. The implemented CSM was verified by groundToImage and imageToGround. In the future, the active R&D is expected with using CSM due to the cost saving effect of software development and remarkable expandability of sensor.

This paper proposes a MPC (Model Predictive Control) method for the torque and flux controls of induction motor. The proposed MPC method selects the optimized voltage vector for the matrix converter control using the predictive modeling equation of the induction motor and cost function. Hence, the reference voltage vector that minimizes the cost function of the torque and flux error within the control period is selected and applied to the actual system. As a result, it is possible to perform the torque and flux control of induction motor using only the MPC controller without a PI (Proportional-Integral) or hysteresis controller. Even though the proposed control algorithm is more complicated and has lots of computations compared with the conventional MPC, it can perform torque ripple reduction by synthesizing voltage vectors of various magnitude. This feature provides the reduction of amount of calculations and the improvement of the control performance through the adjustment of the number of the unit vectors n. The proposed control method is validated through the PSIM simulation.
