All-Optical Implementation of Volume Holographic Associative Memory (부피격자형 연상메모리의 광학적 구현)

  • We describe a volume holographic associative memory using photorefractive material and conventional planar mirror. Multiple hologram is generated with two angular multiplexed writing beams and Fourier transformed object beam in Ba Ti O3 crystal at 0.6328 um. Complete image can be recalled successfully by partial input of the original stored image without any additional thresholding and optical feedback process. It is proved that our system is useful for optical implementation of real-time associative memory and location addressable memory.

  • We study the process for the reduction of bird's beak at LOCOS processing with changing the representative coefficients, oxide thickness, silicon nitride thickness, oxidetion temperature and field oxide thickness that induced the condition of bird'beak. In order to eliminate the gate oxide defects induced by selective oxidation, we used additional sacrific oxidatio. Finally we obtained the length of bird's beak to be 5000\ulcornerby SEM.

  • Polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT) was developed to image highly scattering tissues with accounting for polarization effects in the sample. These polarization-sensitive images can provide additional information on the structure of the tissue because of a polarization state of the light is changed at its interaction with biological tissues. The scattering and birefringence are two phenomena, which change the polarization state of light passing through medium. (omitted)

  • In this paper, an EMG (Electromyography) sensor for utilizing an EMGl-based HCI are described. The EMG sensor is a dry type and has high gain (1000-10000). Therefore, this sensor can be properly applied to HCI devices using EMG signals without additional amplification circuit.

  • This paper proposes an implementation of a line- voltage sensorless three-phase active power filter. The line synchronization for an active power filter does not require any additional hardware. It can be properly operated under various line-voltage variation. Current compensation is done in the time domain allowing fast time response. All control functions are implemented in software using a single-chip microcontroller, thus simplifying the control circuit. It is shown via experimental results that the proposed controller gives good performance for the line-voltage sensorless active power filter.

  • This work describes a power and area efficient switched-capacitor cyclic DAC for mobile display drivers. The proposed DAC can be simply implemented with one opamp two capacitors and several switches. Furthermore, the op-amp input referred offset is attenuated at the DAC output without additional offset cancellation circuitry. The operation of the cyclic DAC is verified through circuit level simulations.

  • We introduce a new electrode structure for the patterned vertical alignment (PVA) mode, which has a lower color-shift at large viewing angle than the one-domain VA mode. By manipulating the period of electrode structure, we can make more multi-domains and use the existing fabrication processes without having to use additional materials.

  • MPEG Surround has a potential clipping problem since its encoding is based on downmixing a multichannel signal. We propose a clipping prevention scheme for MPEG Surround, which is composed of modification and recovery processes of a downmix signal with recovery information conveyed in arbitrary downmix gains of an MPEG Surround bitstream. Experiments show that the proposed scheme effectively prevents sound quality degradation caused by clipping problems with negligible additional bit rates.

  • The capacitive idling SEPIC(Single Ended primary Inductance Converter) is derived from the SEPIC topology. This converter is suitable for maximizing Li-Ion battery life in portable equipments.   • In this paper, we introduce Satellite Digital Multimedia Broadcasting(S-DMB) system and show the method increasing the channel capacity. To reduce the burden that has to change the existing system, the system has to be offered the Backward-compatibility. This paper show the method using hierarchical 16APSK modulation. And to obtain the reasonable BER performance between existing path(we call high priority) and additional path(we call low priority).
