폴리올레핀에 대한 적니의 첨가효과 (Effect of Red Mud Addition to Polyolefin)

  • 적니(Red mud)를 폴리프로필렌(PP), 저밀도폴리에틸렌(LDPE) 및 PP/LDPE의 블렌드에 Filler로서 첨가한 후 적니첨가량 및 가동방법이 인장물성 및 내충격강도 등에 주는 영향에 대해 연구하였다. 특히 PP의 경우는 적니를 첨가한 후 입출을 1회이상 반복할 경우 인장강도, 신율 및 파단시까지의 흡수에너지 등이 증가하였다. 단순 반복 압출이 아닌 마스터 배치 이용시는 인장강도 등이 더욱 큰 폭으로 증가하였다. LDPE에 적니를 첨가할 경우는 10%첨가시 인장탄성율과 내충격강도가 증가하였으나 20% 첨가시는 다시 감소하였다. 이 경우 EVA를 내충격 보강제로 동시에 첨가하면 내충격강도는 다시 증가하였다. PP/LDPE 블렌드에 적니를 첨가할 경우 50/50 블렌드에 적니 20%가 첨가될 경우 내충격강도가 저하되었으나 PP와 LDPE의 상용화제인 EPR을 5% 첨가함에 의해 내충격강도는 다시 증가하는 것으로 관찰되었다. 따라서 적니를 PP 등에 Filler로서 첨가할 경우 가공방법이 기계적 물성에 중요한 영향을 주는 것을 확인하였으며 마스터 배치를 이용하는 것이 효율적인 가공방법의 하나인 것으로 관찰되었다.

근용 안경을 최초 장용하는 노안에 대한 임상적 연구 (A Clinical Study on Presbyopia in Wearing the Near Spectacle for the First Time)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 처음 근용 안경을 착용하고자 하는 노안을 대상으로 근용 가입도 검사를 하여 가입도와 나이, 성별, 직업군, 구면 도수, 난시 도수와의 상관관계를 평가하고자 하였다. 방법: 155명의 피검사자의 좌, 우안(310안)을 대상으로 비조절마비 자각적 굴절 검사 및 크로스 실린더를 이용한 근용 가입도 검사를 하였다. 결과: 최초 근용 가입도는 +0.75D에서 +1.75D까지 검사되었고, 43세 이전의 평균 가입도는 +1.06D, 44세~46세까지는 +1.08D, 47세~49세까지는 +1.23D, 50세 이상에서는 +1.46D이었다. 피검사자의 평균 연령은 47.6세, 남자 74명, 여자 81명이었고 근거리 직업군이 71명, 원거리 직업군이 83명이었다. 결론: 가입도는 나이, 직업군, 난시 도수와 높은 상관성을 나타내었다(p<0.05, p<0.05, p<0.05).

  • This study aims to suggest some problems, which occur when environmental lighting zone is set by use-zone only, by comparing and analyzing the artificial illumination luminance. In addition, this study aims to review the control standards of light pollution and to suggest a practical environmental lighting zone-setting method. I checked out the standards of average surface luminance and luminance contrast as for light pollution management. In addition, I did some research on evaluation of light pollution on surroundings based on investigation of use-environment as for lighting environment setting method.

  • With the propagation and spread of the new regeneration energy and increase in electricity demand, power systems tend to be decentralized, and accordingly, the use of a power system stabilizer tends to expand for the stabilization of the distribution system. Thus, typical power system stabilizer, Static Var Compensator (SVC) is developed on a variety of topologies. In addition, the trend of technology leads from SVC to Static Synchronous Compensator(STATCOM) technology development. Recently, to overcome STATCOM's conversion losses and economic disadvantages, studies of a hybrid method using STATCOM and SVC in parallel have actively been conducted. This study proposes a new Soft-Step Switching method to limit inrush current problematic in Thyristor Controlled Capacitor (TCC) method in SVC function. In addition, to reduce Statcom's capacity, groups of reactive power compensation reactor and condenser for SVC were designed.

  • In this study, the natural frequencies of the perforated square plate with a square penetration pattern are obtained as a function of ligament efficiency using the commercial finite-element analysis code ANSYS. In addition, they are used to extract the effective modulus of elasticity under an assumption of a constant Poisson's ratio. The effective modulus of elasticity of the fully perforated square plate is applied to the modal analysis of a partially perforated square plate using a homogeneous finite-element analysis model. The natural frequencies and the corresponding mode shapes of the homogeneous model are compared with the results of the detailed finite-element analysis model of the partially perforated square plate to check the validity of the effective modulus of elasticity. In addition, the theoretical method to calculate the natural frequencies of a partially perforated square plate with fixed edges is suggested according to the Rayleigh-Ritz method.

  • The support vector machine (SVM) is becoming increasingly popular in classification. The import vector machine (IVM) has been introduced for its advantages over SMV. This paper tries to improve the IVM. The proposed method, which is referred to as the polychotomous machine (PM), uses the Newton-Raphson method to find estimates of coefficients, and the Rao and Wald tests, respectively, for addition and deletion of import points. Because the PM basically follows the same addition step and adopts the deletion step, it uses, typically, less import vectors than the IVM without loosing accuracy. Simulated and real data sets are used to illustrate the performance of the proposed method.

급식소에서 생산되는 닭고기 샐러드의 녹차추출물 첨가에 따른 미생물적 품질 평가 (A Study on the Microbial Quality Control of Chicken Meat Salad by Adding Green Tea Extracts in Foodservice Operations)

  • This study was aimed to determine microbiological quality by adding green tea extracts to chicken meat salad. For this study, Chicken meat salad were prepared with two production method. (method 1: addition of green tea extracts to boiling phase, method 2: addition of green tea extracts to salad dressing) Microbiological effects of green tea extracts were assessed during production process by measuring process time, temperature, pH and Aw and determining total plate counts and coliforms. Effects of green tea extracts on total plate counts and coliforms were observed during holding at 3, 10, $25{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ for 12 hours. Green tea extracts improved the microbiological quality and showed antibacterial properties when they are added to chicken meat salad.

Parametric Analysis of Tubular-Type Linear Magnetic Couplings with Halbach Array Magnetized Permanent Magnet by Using Analytical Force Calculation

  • Magnetic couplings are widely used in various industrial applications because they can transmit magnetic force without any mechanical contact. In addition, linear couplings have many advantages. For example, they do not need to convert rotary motion to linear motion. This paper shows an analytical analysis of tubular type linear magnetic couplings (TLMCs) with a Halbach array magnetized permanent magnet (PM). An analytical method for magnetic fields owing to PMs is performed by using magnetic vector potential as well as Poisson and Laplace equations. Then, the magnetic force is calculated by using the Maxwell stress tensor. The analytical analysis results were compared with finite element method (FEM) results. In addition, we predicted the magnetic force characteristic according to design parameters such as the iron core thickness, inner PM thickness to -outer PM thickness ratio, PM segment ratio of the axial magnetized PM segment and radial magnetized PM segment, and various pole numbers.

실험 계획법을 이용한 $Al(OH)_3$ 첨가량에 따른 고무의 난연 특성 연구 (The Study on the Flame Retardancy of Rubber according to $Al(OH)_3$ Addition Using Experimental Design Method)

  • The effect of $Al(OH)_3$ on physical, thermal, and retardant property of rubber was studied. It was analyzed by statistical experimental design method with one way array to confirm the effect of factors. Physical characteristics, thermal pyrolysis temperature, and combustion time were considered as the properties. The amount of $Al(OH)_3$ addition was chosen as significant parameter. As the result of ANOVA analysis, thermal pyrolysis temperature increased and combustion time decreased with increasing of $Al(OH)_3$.

Phase Identification of Nano-Phase Materials using Convergent Beam Electron Diffraction (CBED) Technique

  • Improvements are made to existing primitive cell volume measurement method to provide a real-time analysis capability for the phase analysis of nanocrystalline materials. Simplification is introduced in the primitive cell volume calculation leading to fast and reliable method for nano-phase identification and is applied to the phase analysis of Mo-Si-N nanocoating layer. In addition, comparison is made between real-time and film measurements for their accuracy of calculated primitive cell volume values and factors governing the accuracy of the method are determined. About 5% accuracy in primitive cell determination is obtained from camera length calibration and this technique is used to investigate the cell volume variation in WC-TiC core-shell microstructure. In addition to chemical compositional variation in core-shell type structure, primitive cell volume variation reveals additional information on lattice coherency strain across the interface.
