In this paper a prototype of high frequency heating power supply system based on the high frequency heating principle is designed to take the place of acupuncture, moxibustion, warm dressing treatment and some other traditional physical therapy methods. Which possess the advantages of low cost, convenient, easy operation and good effect. The high frequency heating power supply can generate a pulse voltage of more than 1KV with 300KHz switching frequency to heat the patient's skin. The skin temperature can reach to $41{\sim}42^{\circ}C$. The peak current control method is used to maintain the skin temperature in the designed range. The design of the main circuit is based on the flyback converter topology. An easier and practical design method is proposed in this paper. The power supply system prototype is verified to be stable and reliable by both the simulation and experimental results.
Objective: This clinical study reports on a case of generalized edema with hypoalbuminemia and pleural effusion improved by combined traditional Korean and Western medical treatments in a patient with chronic myeloid leukemia medicated with dasatinib.Method: Combined traditional Korean and Western medical treatment was carried out, including herbal medicine, acupuncture, moxibustion, and albumin injection. We examined the serum albumin, measured the circumference of both thighs and ankles to estimate the volume of the edema, and evaluated the pleural effusion symptoms. Results: The serum albumin increased, and generalized edema and pleural effusion improved significantly after the administration of Bojungchiseub-tang-gami.Conclusion: These results showed that complications of generalized edema and pleural effusion associated with dasatinib medication have the potential to be improved via combined traditional Korean and Western medical treatments.

Conclusion: This case study shows that Korean Medicine therapies have significant effect on climacteric symptoms in premature ovarian failure.
Backgrounds : sudden sensorineural hearing loss is defined as a disease that has abrupt onset of sensorineural hearing loss without definite cause. In some cases, this disease cause tinnitus, vertigo, headache addition to hearing loss. In traditional oriental medicine, sudden sensorineural hearing loss is could be diagnosed as deficiency of Yang-Gi(陽氣). Objects & Methods : This study is clinical observation about three sudden sensorineural hearing loss cases. For diagnosing in these cases, pure tone audiometry was used. For treatment, acupuncture, herbal-medicine and moxibustion therapy were used. Results & Conclusions : as follows. 1. Generally, in this disease, the shorter the whole period from the time that occurs to the time that starts to treat is, the more the results are better. The research shows that short-term case is more efficient than the other long-term two cases in the aspects of symptoms and pure tone audiometry . 2. In making a diagnosis of sudden sensorineural hearing loss and measuring the effect, subjective symptoms generally correspond to the improvement of pure tone audiometry, but not completely. Therefore, in treating patients, the doctor must consider these both aspects and keep the balance.
Objective : To search the trend of studying thread-embedding therapy in Korean medicine academia up to now and to expand the range of using thread-embedding therapy in the future, this study was designed. Methods : Using search portal sites the following; http://oasis.kiom.re.kr, http://www.riss.re.kr, collected 37 articles and devided those three parts and classificated those into four subsection as follows; total analysis, original article, case report. Background: Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) tends to grow more rapidly and spread much faster than non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). A concurrent combination of chemotherapy and thoracic radiotherapy is suggested as the standard conventional treatment, but it is more challenging for elderly patients having pulmonary and cardiovascular comorbidities. Case presentation: Here we present a case of an 80-year-old male, current smoker diagnosed with SCLC in limited stage T3N0M0 (36mm right upper lobe, satellite nodule) in Dec, 2015. The standard concurrent chemoradiotherapy was not available for his comorbidities, which included chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and angina pectoris. Furthermore, he and his family refused the recommended chemotherapy or radiotherapy exclusively. Alternatively, he received various non-conventional treatments including local radiofrequency hyperthermia, mistletoe, and Traditional Korean medicine including acupuncture, moxibustion and herbs since Jan. 2016. Despite the progression in primary tumor size, there have been no other distant relapse so far, and the patient has been in stable condition ever since. Conclusion: We suggest that a combination of various alternative treatments could be a candidate for elderly patients intolerable to conventional cytotoxic treatments.
