This study was conducted to offer basic data that can be used in a clothing industry for active senior males that are emerging as a new consumer bracket in a rapid aging age. To this end, this study conducted an analysis of 'younger' older male body types based on data from the 6th Size Korea. As a result of the body type analysis of 'younger' older males who are considered active seniors in comparison to 'middle' aged males, the former's height items became shorter compared to 'middle' aged males, but circumference items were bigger. Males aged 35-69, who are 'middle' aged males and 'younger' old males were divided into three body types in this study: Type1- small body type with protruded belly, compared to weight. Type 2- body type of slim torso with wide shoulder-back widths. Type3- big body type overall with tall height and heavy weight. According to body type distribution by age group, the middle-aged males had Type2 body type the most. The younger-old males showed type1 the most. There is a need to reflect the body types of active senior male characteristics in apparel pattern design because the current fits are not appropriate if active senior males wear clothing targeted for males aged 30-50.

The meaning of this research is to make recognition for necessity of ergonomic fashion design research. And the purpose is to provide the guidelines for ergonomic fashion product development. For this, literature research and analysis of empirical illustration of product design indicating ergonomics characteristic are implemented. Among the body-conscious active sportswear, cycle wear, swim suit, and skin scuba wet suit were selected and analyzed. Then they were explained according to the ergonomics characteristics arranged previously. Lastly, the features of ergonomic fashion design were arranged by composition elements of the clothing such as pattern, sewing, material and detail. The characteristics of ergonomic design derived from literature and advanced researches are efficiency, usability, functionality and safety. Through research and analysis, the characteristics of ergonomic fashion design are as followings. In pattern, it is related to the 3D structure division pattern, the reduction pattern design, the closing & opening part design for easy detachment, the receipt and the changeable design. In sewing, it is related to the use of latest sewing techniques and the finish using silicon or rubber band. In material, it is related to the use of high performance fabrics and the proper arrangement of these. In detail, it is related to the convenient detail, the storage detail, the adjustable detail, and the body protection detail.

Plasma nitriding is a surface treatment process which is increasingly used to improve wear, fatigue and corrosion resistance of industrial parts. Active screen plasma nitriding (ASPN) has both the advantages of the classic cold wall and the hot wall conventional dc plasma nitriding (DCPN) method and the parts to be nitrided are no longer directly exposed to the plasma. In this study, AS plasma nitriding has been used to nitride the UNS S31803 duplex stainless steel, AISI 304 and AISI 316 austenitic stainless steel, and AISI 420 martensitic stainless steel. Treated specimenswere characterized by means of microstructural analysis, microhardness measurements and electrochemical tests in NaCl aerated solutions. Hardness of the nitride cases of AISI 420 stainless steel by Knoop test can get up to 1300 HK0.1. From polarization tests, the corrosion current densities of AISI 420 and UNS S31803specimens ASPN at $420^{\circ}C$ were generally lower than those of their untreated substrates. The corrosion resistance of UNS S31803 duplex stainless steel can be enhanced by plasma nitriding at $420^{\circ}C$ Cowing to the formation of the S-phase.

본 연구에서는 스포츠웨어용 나일론 직물 소리가 심한 소음으로 인해 불쾌감을 주므로 이를 감소시키기 위한 방안으로, 5개의 나일론 직물소리를 녹음하여 이를 피험자에게 들려주면서 EMG와 주관적 감각을 측정함으로써, 직물소음이 근전도와 주관적 감각에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 근전도는 상완이두근과 전완근에서 측정하였고, 주관적 평가는 자유식 크기평가법(Free Modulus Magnitude Estimation)을 이용하였다. 직물 소리에 대한 상완이두근의 근전도 값은 전완근의 근전도값보다 컸으며, 소리자극 유무시의 차이값도 상완이두근에서 크게 나타났다. 직물의 소리가 부드럽고 유쾌할수록 근전도값은 무자극시보다 감소하는 경향을 보였으나, 직물의 소리가 시끄럽고 날카로울수록 근전도값은 무자극시보다 증가하였다. 직물의 소리는 상완이두근의 근전도 값에 영향을 미쳐, 직물 소음의 크기, 날카로움 등과 정적인 관계를 보이는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 직물소리의 물리적 특성과 근전도로부터 나일론 직물 소리에 대한 감각ㆍ감성 예측식에서는 높은 예측력을 보였다. 맑고, 거칠고, 높은 소리감각을 제외한 예측식에서 소리특성 외에 생리신호인 근전도 가 포함되어 직물소리 감성을 예측하는 의미있는 파라미터임을 알 수 있었다.

Background: This study was designed to analyze Repetitive dorsiflexion exercises in ankles have effects on the active range of flexion and extension motion through lumbar, cervical spine and ankle, wrist joints. Methods: 30 female college students in their twenties who frequently wear high heels participated the number of the experimental group was 15 persons and the number of the control group was 15 persons. They did exercise at the physical therapy room in M college, from the 8th of March to the 11th of April 2007. The experimental group had used the model of dorsiflexion repetitive exercise three times per week, for 4 weeks, but the control group did not exercise at all. In the sagittal plane active ROM of the these spine and joints were measured before and after the experiment using a digital goniometer. The results of two groups were compared and analyzed using paired T-test. Results: The active range of flexion and extension motion of the vertebra(especially lumbar flexion) and distal joints were significantly different in exercise group(p<.05). Conclusion: The model of repetitive dorsiflexion exercise of the ankle joint had positive effects on improving the active range of flexion and extension motion of the lumbar vertebra and distal joints of limbs. The results suggest that the repetitive dorsiflexion exercise is useful and also effective therapy for improving motion in women usually wearing high-heel.

This study is to be focused on the sportswear combining common wear with the design elements of activewear. The objectives of this study are four designers in compliance with the book of Ann Marie Fiore and Patricia Anne Kimle; Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren and Anna Sui and the times to be studied are limited to the early 21st Century from 2001 to 2005. Main results are as follow. This research divides sportswear into four groups; 'Function oriented style', 'Sensible style', 'Retro American sports style', and 'Street sports style'. Comparison of four designers' sportswear shows that Calvin Klein is function oriented, Donna Karan is function oriented and sensitivity driven, whereas Ralph Lauren focuses on retro American sports style along with function oriented characteristics. Anna Sui places emphasis on youth oriented street sports style. In terms of color, Calvin Klein and Donna Karan use White & Black and natural tone while Ralph Lauren uses pastel tone, and Anna Sui uses mostly vivid colors. In terms of material, Calvin Klein and Donna Karan use mostly elastic and synthetic materials whereas Ralph Lauren and Anna Sui use natural materials.

The purpose of this study is reviewing and researching the symbolic meaning and classifying the types of the style of the Costume in classical novel 'Shimchungjun' focusing on the woman's costume through the antique records and tombs bequests. Titled ladies for royal family put on 'Wooimkyoryong' and 'Sungun' as a petticoat when the ladies of Song period rode on horses. The underskirt played a part to swell a skirt for ladies. 'Bakjueui' and 'Hwangsangi' were ordinary clothes ranging from ladies of loyal family to women. The red color was limited to royal family. The ordinary clothes of women were white ramie clothes commonly and floral patterned clothes were prohibited to the ordinary clothes for women. 'Ko', a breast-tie (breast ribbon) of a Korean coat, was made of silk and women wear as an outer garment. The common people will wear 'Ko' of white ramie clothes which was very active items. The ladies of royal family and women put on shoes made of white ramie clothes, but the full dress of queen wore blue boots made of leather. The noble women wore 'Suk'(boots) made of deer skin and common people wore straw shoes regardless of gender and age. Sometimes they wore 'Woopihye' made of cowhide. In the first of Koryo era, the styles of dress were consisted of 'Monso', 'Eui', 'Po', 'Dae', 'Koh', 'Sang', 'Sungkun' and 'Kangnang'. The structure of costume for women made little difference and there was a great difference with decoration.

The purpose of this study is to supply available data for men's fashion design planning by analyzing the trend and design tendency of the preppy look in the domestic men's collection. In the men's collection of Seoul fashion week from 2011 S/S to 2015 S/S, 494 photos judged to be the preppy look by three design specialists were chosen in Seoul fashion week and style.com's web-site. Design analyses were compiled based on year, season, brands, item, color, material, and silhouette. The preppy look was found often in S/S season, three piece combinations were the most common, and "H", "I" silhouettes were also popular. Refined black and refreshing orange were used with traditional preppy colors like navy, beige, gray, and white. Contrast color arrangement and neutral, moderate tones were seen repeatedly. Two-thirds of fabrics were pattern-less with clean, bulky, and soft textures. Coordinating accessories like hats, backpacks, books, headsets were used frequently. Among the various preppy fashion types, there were 'traditional preppy' faithful to tradition, 'sophisticated preppy' with refined semi-formal look, 'sportive preppy' with active sports sense, and 'natural preppy' with natural and comfortable senses. In a contemporary preppy look, traditional and practical senses are combined with casual and sportive pieces. This study can provide the data for design planning, interpreting, and applying the fashion themes along with contemporary sensibilities since the preppy look is based on cultural history.

Recently, research and development of the linear compressor are being active. The reason is that the one has not only higher efficiency than reciprocating type, but also lower noise. But because the dicharge valve of linear compressor is operated in high pressure and temperature circumstance, it is important to prevent leakeage. In this paper three other plastic reinforced composite materials were used. Those are TPI, PEEK and PEK which were containing other volume and kind of carbon fibers. First, for assessing mechanical properties, we measured the hardness and the heating property of the trst sepecimen by the microvickers hardness tester and the differential scanning calorimeter respectively. Finally, through FALEX tester, we could know the characteristics of the wear proving the results of before-conducted experiments.

The purpose of the study was to examine how changes of women's sexual identity and gender role were expressed in designs of dance costumes by analyzing costumes used in creative dance works. Related articles, dance magazines, Internet information and dance costumes were used for the analysis of various performance cases to express persona and animus of a woman. The results of the study were as follows: 1. As a woman's role, persona, has recently changed into active propensity, dance directors have come to prefer bold and daring image of female dancer to strongly express animus, the masculine inclination of a woman. 2. Female dancers' costumes were frequently associated with daring body exposure such as body painting on half-naked body, to reflect the above and a number of female dancers dressed daringly in masculine style trom head to toe. Also, pants or hot pants instead of skirt were frequently used as dance costumes to symbolize animus. In addition, colors in dance costumes became vivid and bold in comparison to the simple and soft colors used in the past.
