Hangover after drinking is different from person to person symptoms and degree, but usually thirst, fatigue, headache, general boredom, gastrointestinal disorder, vomiting, diarrhea, deficiency of vitamin appears. This hanging phenomenon is caused by the action of precursors such as ethyl acetate and acetaldehyde, which are the by products of fermentation contained in alcohol and alcohol accumulated in hepatocytes and body. In order to solve the hangover phenomenon, the same Origin as polysaccharide Polydeoxyribonucleotide, which is a nucleic acid-sugar-phosphate complex, which is a semen or testicular extract in salmon extract, and a water soluble salmon extract powder having the same structure and lower price than Polydeoxyribonucleotide And D-Glucuronic acid and N-Acetyl glucosamine. It has excellent biocompatibility, viscoelasticity and moisturizing power. It has effect on reduction of body water loss and skin moisture content in hangover phenomenon. It is antioxidant and skin moisturizing effect Hyaluronic acid was irradiated with gamma rays, and the composition was prepared by using the salmon extract powder and the main raw material. The ethanol degradation, the acetaldehyde reduction amount, the blood acetaldehyde concentration and the acetic acid concentration were measured to evaluate the alcoholysis effect, Skin moisture evaporation rate To examine the evaluation unit water content of the skin was improved determine whether the antioxidant and provide skin moisturizing effect. The addition of ethanol extracts of salmon extracts showed a decrease of 5 to 7 times compared with no addition, and a decrease of 3 to 5 times of acetaldehyde. In addition, the change of acetaldehyde concentration and acetic acid concentration in blood showed a rapid decrease compared to the no - added control group. In addition, when the raw material of hyaluronic acid was used, skin moisture content was high and skin moisture evaporation amount was decreased. Therefore, hyaluronic acid, which is a polysaccharide polymer, has excellent viscoelasticity and moisturizing ability, It is considered to provide antioxidant and skin moisturizing effect. Therefore, it can be said that the composition containing salmon extract powder and hyaluronic acid as a main ingredient is effective for the hangover phenomenon which occurs after drinking.

Background and Objectives Globus pharyngeus is one of the most common symptoms of patients visiting otorhinolaryngology out-patient clinic, and usually long-lasting, difficult to treat, and frequently recurrent. Mucomyst®, N-acetyl cysteine is an inhalation agent mainly used for mucolysis and reducing inflammation in airway via antioxidative effect. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of inhaled Mucomyst® treatment in patients with globus pharyngeus refractory to proton pump inhibitor (PPI). Materials and Method We prospectively evaluated the efficacy of Mucomyst® in relieving symptoms of globus pharyngeus refractory to PPI in nine medical centers. Three hundred and three patients enrolled and finally 229 patients finished the inhaled Mucomyst® therapy for 8 weeks. We analyzed the change of Reflux Symptom Index (RSI), Reflux Finding Score (RFS), Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) for globus, and Globus Pharyngeus Symptom Scale (GPS) after use of Mucomyst® for 4 and 8 weeks. Results The GPS, RSI, RFS, and VAS score significantly decreased serially in patients who finished 8 week-inhalation treatment. The GPS improvement gap was significantly correlated with initial GPS (p<0.001) in multiple regression analysis. Conclusion Inhaled Mucomyst® therapy was effective for the reduction of both subjective and objective findings in refractory globus patients. This study might suggest new treatment option for patients with globus. However, further thorough studies would be needed to assess the real effect of inhaled Mucomyst® treatment as a standard treatment for globus.
Antioxidants(N-acetyl-1-cysteine, ebselen and glutathione) and growth factors(EGF, PDGF) were studied as a mean of increasing the development of porcine embryos produced by in vitro maturation (IVM) and in vitro fertilization(IVF). Porcine embryos developed to the 2~8 cell stage after IVF were cultured fer 6 to 7 days at 38.5$^{\circ}C$ in NCSU 23 medium containing antioxidants plus growth factors. Cell numbers of blastocysts were counted by fluorescence staining method. The developmental rate beyond morula stages in NCSU 23 containing NAC(1nm) or NAC(1nm) plus EGF(100ng/$m\ell$) or PDGF(5ng/$m\ell$) were 28.1, 32.3 and 35.3%, respectively. NAC plus PDGF group was slightly higher than control group(P>0.05). The developmental capacity in NCSU 23 containing ebselen(10 $\mu$M) or ebselen(10 $\mu$M) plus EGF(100ng/$m\ell$) or PDGF(5ng/$m\ell$) were 17.8, 36.9 and 40.3%, respectively Ebselen plus growth factor groups were significantly higher than control group(P<0.05). The developmental capacity in NCSU 23 containing glutathione(100 $\mu$M) or glutathione(100 $\mu$M) plus EGF (100ng/$m\ell$) or PDGF(5ng/$m\ell$) were 24.1, 30.5 and 27.7%, respectively. There were not difference in all experimental groups(P>0.05). In all experimental groups, there was no significantly differences on the cell number of blastocysts, but ebselen plus growth factor groups were significantly higher than control group. These studies indicate that antioxidants plus growth factors can increase the proportion of embryos that developed beyond morulae stage.
This study was carried out to examine the effects of antioxidants and buthionine sulfoximide(BSO) on the development of porcine in vitro maturation(IVM) and in vitro fertilization(IVF) oocytes. Cumulus cell free embryos derived from porcine IVM/IVF oocytes were cultured NCSU23 medium with antioxidants or BSO under an atmosphere of 5% $CO_2$ and 5% $O_2$at 38.5$^{\circ}C$ for 5~6 days. The embryos cultured in medium with BSO showed a significanthy(P<0.05) lower rates(8.4~15.7%) of the development to the morulae and blastocyst stage than control group(35.9%). When the embryos were cultured with NAC, ebselen, glutathione and BSO, the proportions of embryos beyond morulae and blastocysts were significantly(P<0.05) higher in medium with NAC(40.5%), ebselen(44.2%) and glutathione(36.0%) than BSO(10.9%). In conclusions, these results indicate that NAC, ebselen and glutathione as a antioxidants can increase the proportion of embryos that develop beyond morulae stage. BSO, intracellular glutathione inhibitors, is suppressed the development of porcine embryos derived from IVM/IVF.

Here we tried to uncover the potential anti-lipogenic effect and the underlying mechanism of Phaseolus angularis seed in a cellular model of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) induced in HepG2 cells. Ethanol extract of Phaseolus angularis seed (JSD) was prepared. HepG2 cells were incubated in palmitate containing media to induce intracellular lipid accumulation, and co-treated with JSD for 16 hrs before examine intracellular lipid content. In control group, the cells were not co-treated with JSD. We measured the effects of JSD on liver X receptor ${\alpha}$ ($LXR{\alpha}$) and sterol regulatory element-binding transcription factor-1c (SREBP-1c) expression, transcription level of lipogenic genes, including acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC), fatty acid synthase (FAS), stearoyl-CoA desaturase-1 (SCD-1), and AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) activation in HepG2 cells. JSD markedly reduced palmitate-induced intracellular lipid accumulation in HepG2 cells. JSD suppressed $LXR{\alpha}$/SREBP-1c expression, and SREBP-1c mediated induction of ACC, FAS, and SCD-1. Furthermore, JSD activated AMPK, which plays a major role in the control of hepatic lipid metabolism. Taken together, it is suggested that JSD has a potential to alleviate hepatic steatosis, at least in part, by suppressing $LXR{\alpha}$/SREBP-1c mediated induction of lipogenic genes. In addtion, the anti-lipogenic potential may be associated with activation of AMPK. Therefore, the Phaseolus angularis seed could be applied as a potential therapeutics for NAFLD with additional clinical studies.
This study was performed to identity non hemolytic streptococcus from cultured flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) with Streptococcosis in the Jeju island. Mutiplex PCR assay were detected S. pauberis (718 bp), S. iniae (870 bp) L. garviae (1,100 bp). Dectected S. parauberis (718 bp) were result of 16S rRNA sequence identified with S. parauberis (Gene bank accession number X89967). All isolated S. parauberis that with bouned by one group. The result were S. pauberis that γ-hemolytic chain form cocci and negative reaction of catalase, Multiplex PCR assay were 718 bp amplicon size.
The objectives of this study were to examine the lung injury and inflammation caused by manual metal arc stainless steel(MMA-SS) welding fume inhalation and to evaluate the recovery process. Sprague-Dawley rats were exposed to MMA-SS welding fumes for 2 h per day in a whole-body exposure chamber, with a total suspended particulate(TSP) concentration of $51.4{\pm}2.8mg/m^3$(low dose) or $84.6{\pm}2.9mg/m^3$(high dose) for 30 days. The animals were sacrificed after 30 days of exposure as well as after a 30-day recovery period. To assess the inflammatory or injury responses, cellular and biochemical parameters as well as cytokines were assayed in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF). MMA-SS welding fume exposure led to a significant elevation in the number of alveolar macrophages(AM) and polymorphonuclear cells(PMN). Additionary, the values of $\beta$-n-acetyl glucosaminidase($\beta$-NAG) and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) in the BALF were increased in the exposed group when compared to controls. After 30 days of recovery from exposure, a significant reduction in inflammatory parameters of BALF was observed between the exposed and recovered groups. Slight, but significant elevations were noted in the number of AM and PMN in the recovered groups, and AM that had been ingested fume particles still remain in the lungs. In conclusion, these results indicated that welding fumes induced inflammatory responses and cytotoxicity in the lungs of exposed rats. Fume particles were not fully cleared from lungs even after a 30-day recovery period.
An experiment was conducted to determine the effects of different amounts of dietary linoleic acid (LA) on growth performance, serum biochemical traits, meat quality, fatty acids composition of muscle and liver, acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACC) and carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1 (CPT 1) mRNA expression in the liver of 9 wks old to 13 wks old growing meat rabbits. One hundred and fifty 9 wks old meat rabbits were allocated to individual cages and randomly divided into five groups. Animals in each group were fed with a diet with the following LA addition concentrations: 0, 3, 6, 9 and 12 g/kg diet (as-fed basis) and LA concentrations were 0.84, 1.21, 1.34, 1.61 and 1.80% in the diet, respectively. The results showed as follows: the dietary LA levels significantly affected muscle color of LL included $a^*$ and $b^*$ of experimental rabbits (p<0.05). The linear effect of LA on serum high density lipoprotein cholesterol was obtained (p = 0.0119). The saturated fatty acids (SFAs) and monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) contents of LL decreased and the polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) content of LL increased with dietary LA increase (p<0.0001). The PUFA n-6 content and PUFA n-3 content in the LL was significantly affected by the dietary LA levels (p<0.01, p<0.05). The MUFAs content in the liver decreased and the PUFAs contents in the liver increased with dietary LA increase (p<0.0001). The PUFA n-6 content and the PUFA n-6/n-3 ratio in the liver increased and PUFA n-3 content in the liver decreased with dietary LA increase (p<0.01). The linear effect of LA on CPT 1 mRNA expression in the liver was obtained (p = 0.0081). In summary, dietary LA addition had significant effects on liver and muscle fatty acid composition (increased PUFAs) of 9 wks old to 13 wks old growing meat rabbits, but had little effects on growth performance, meat physical traits and mRNA expression of liver relative enzyme of experimental rabbits.
The influence of the 2-(4-(6-chloro-2-benzoxazolyloxy)phenoxy)-N-phenyl- propionamide derivatives on the herbicide activities against rice plant with pre-emergence and post-emergence in down land were examined and the structure activity relationship (SAR) were analyzed by Free-Wilson and Hansch method. In pre-emergence, the SAR approach is shown that the optimal, $({\pi})_{opt}=0.91$, hydrophobicity with electron donating effect of the ortho substituted mono substituents and 2,3,4-substituted three substituents were found to be contribute the herbicidal activity. Whereas, in post-emergence, the optimal, ({\pi})_{opt}=0.50$, hydrophobicity with electron withdrawing effect of meta substituted mono subsituents and 2,3-substituted two substituents were found to be contribute the herbicide activity. The herbicide activities with post-emergence more increase than that of pre-emergence. It is assumed from the SAR equations that the 2-methyl-3-methoxy-4-cyano group substituent is selected as the most lowest herbicide activity against rice plant with post-emergence in green house. The hydrolysis reaction was proceeded through nucleophilic addition-elimination (Ad_{Nu-E})$ with the orbital control between LUMO of substrate and HOMO of water molecule. And molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) of none (H) substituent was discussed.

Ameliorating mechanisms of red ginseng on learning deficits were investigated in the following 3 experiments; its effects on 1) place learning deficits in aged rats and in young rats with selective hippocampal lesions (behavioral study), 2) long-term potentiation in the hippocampal formation (neuro- physiological study), and 3) ChAT (choline acetyl transferase) activity in various brain regions of aged rats (pharmacological study). In the behavioral study, first, performance in the place learning tasks were compared among 3 groups of young and aged rats; control young intact rats (10-12 week old) treated with water, aged rats (28-32 month old) treated with water, and aged rats (28-32 month old) treated with red ginseng (100 mghglday) suspended in water. Second, performance in the place learning tasks was compared among 3 groups of young rats; control intact rats treated with water, rats with bilateral hippocampal lesions treated with water, and rats with bilateral hippocampal lesions treated with red ginseng (100 mg/kg/day). Each rat in these 2 behavioral experiments was tested with the 3 types of the place learning tasks in a circular open field using intracranial self-stimulation (ICSS) as reward. The ICSS reward was delivered if the rat (1) moved distance of 100-160 cm (DMT): (2) entered an experiment-determined reward place within the open field, and this place was randomly varied in sequential trials (RRPST); or (3) entered 2 specific places, and did a shuttle behavior between the 2 places (PLT). Performance of the aged rats in the ginseng group was not significantly different from that of control young rats in ICSS (current intensity, bar press rates), DMT and RRPST. However, treatment with red ginseng significantly ameliorated place-navigation learning deficits in aged rats in the PLT. Similarly, red ginseng ameliorated learning and memory deficits in young rats with hippocampal lesions in the same tasks. In the neurophysiological study using young rats, perfusion of hippocampal slices with non-sapon in fraction of red ginseng significantly enhanced magnitudes of the long-term potentiation (LfP) in the CA3 subfield. In the pharmacological study, treatment with red ginseng did not affect ChAT activity in aged rat brain including the hippocampal formation. These results strongly suggest that red ginseng ameliorates learning and memory deficits in aged rats through actions on the CA3 subfield of the hippocampal formation, which were independent of the presynaptic components of the cholinergic system
