강판의 자동 형상제어 장치의 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Automatic Flatness Control System for Stell Sheet)

  • In this paper, The performance and functions of automatic flatness control system installed on the 4 hi-reversing mill and has been investigated under actualconditions. A new automatic flatness control system incorporates a measuring roll for measurement and correction calculations, hydraulic roll benders, selective roll cooling, and a programmable controller for interface and data logging. The test results are as following. The more the exit steel strip thickness is thick, the smaller the I value, and the more it is thin, the larger the I value. And, a complex distribution of strip tension was controlled, for example, not only a quarter buckle but also a simple center wave and edge wave. Because the tension deviation is larger at acceleration speed and deceleration speed than steady speed, so automatic flatness control system of contact type is better to adopt over 450 m/min, automatic flatness control system reduces rapidly large flatness deviation. The maximum I value of strip has been decreased to 13 I, and defects caused by poor flatness have been drastically decreased. And coolant temperature for work roll cooling system on the automatic flatness control system is better to adopt about 50-55 .deg. C.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the variation of body shape and to. divide growth period into some age groups based on body type. Duncan Test, Heath-Carter's somatotyping method and allottery equation (y=baa) were applied to semiautomatic data concerning obesity/leakiness. The materials were 309 females aged from 12 to 17 years old. The following results were obtained: 1. In the Developmental trend of the human body, the 12-13 age groups belonged to the acceleration stage of adolescent growth spurt. The 14-15 age groups belonged to the latter period of adolescent growth. The 16-17 age groups belonged to the termination stage of adolescent growth. 2. In the Heath-Carter's somatotyping method, the average somatotype changed into M.M- C-C-M-D with age. 3. In the alphamerical analysis, the first critical point appeared at the stature 146 Cm in case of weight, LBM and fat. The second critical point appeared at the stature 154-157 Cm in case of LBM and Fat. All the three measurement showed positive allotmentty.

  • The phased array antenna has the ability to perform adaptive sampling by directing the radar beam without inertia in any direction. The adaptive sampling capability of the phased array antenna allows each sampling time interval to be varied for each target, depending on the acceleration of each target at any time. In this paper we design a three dimensional adaptive target tracking algorithm for the phased array radar system with a given set of measurement parameters. The tracking algorithm avoids taking unnecessarily frequent samples, while keeping the angular prediction error within a fraction of antenna beamwidth so that the probability of detection will not be degraded during a track updata illuminations. In our algorithm, the target model and the sampling rate are selected depending on the target range and the target maneuver status which is determined by a maneuver level detector. A detailed simulation is conducted to test the validity of our tracking algorithm for target trajectories under various conditions of maneuver.

  • In this study, on-line measuring system were developed to verify performances and functions of traction system that are used in KTX(Korea Train eXpress) synthetically and efficiently, and have been measuring electric signals of vehicle as well as mechanical signals up to the present. Running-braking measuring equipment was constructed in vehicle to optimize signal acquisition and analysis ability of the measuring system. Measurement data of signal were performed acquisition, analysis and evaluation using this equipment. KRRI(Korea Railroad Research Institute) described about main specifications of measuring equipment. Also, the structure and principles as well as main circuit system were explained in brief. KRRI analyzed the characteristics comparing design values with experimental values about running distance, running time and positive acceleration for KTX is running in full traction. We analyzed the distance and time according to number of motor block. In result, running characteristics of traction system in KTX were verified and could be evaluated.

Full-scale measurements of wind effects and modal parameter identification of Yingxian wooden tower

  • The Yingxian wooden tower in China is currently the tallest wooden tower in the world. It was built in 1056 AD and is 65.86 m high. Field measurements of wind speed and wind-induced response of this tower are conducted. The wind characteristics, including the average wind speed, wind direction, turbulence intensity, gust factor, turbulence integral length scale and velocity spectrum are investigated. The power spectral density and the root-mean-square wind-induced acceleration are analyzed. The structural modal parameters of this tower are identified with two different methods, including the Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) combined with the Random Decrement Technique (RDT) and Hilbert transform technique, and the stochastic subspace identification (SSI) method. Results show that strong wind is coming predominantly from the West-South of the tower which is in the same direction as the inclination of the structure. The Von Karman spectrum can describe the spectrum of wind speed well. Wind-induced torsional vibration obviously occurs in this tower. The natural frequencies identified by EMD, RDT and Hilbert Transform are close to those identified by SSI method, but there is obvious difference between the identified damping ratios for the first two modes.

스테레오 PIV를 이용한 워터젯 흡입덕트 내부의 난류유동측정 (Stereoscopic PIV Measurement on Turbulent Flows in a Waterjet Intake Duct)

  • Stereoscopic PIV measurements were made in the wind tunnel with the actual size waterjet model. The main wind tunnel provides the vehicle velocity while the secondary wind tunnel adjusts the jet issuing velocity. Experiments were performed at the range of jet to vehicle velocity ratio (JVR), 3.75 to 8.0 and the Reynolds number of 220,000 based on the jet velocity and the hydraulic diameter of the waterjet intake duct. Wall pressure distributions were measured for various JVRs. Three dimensional velocity fields were obtained at the inlet and outlet of the intake duct. It is found that severe acceleration is occurred at the lip region while deceleration is noticeable at the ramp side. The detailed three dimensional velocity fields can be used as the accurate velocity input for the CFD simulation. It is interesting to note that there are many different types of vortices in the instantaneous velocity field. It can be considered that those vortices are generated by the corner of rectangular section of the intake and Gortler vortices due to the curved wall. However, typical secondary flow with a pair of counter rotating vortex pair is clearly seen in the ensemble averaged velocity field.

Performance assessment of bridges using short-period structural health monitoring system: Sungsu bridge case study

  • This study aims at reporting a systematic procedure for evaluating the static and dynamic structural performance of steel bridges based on a short-period structural health monitoring measurement. Sungsu bridge located in Korea is considered as a case study presenting the most recent tests carried out to examine the bridge condition. Short-period measurements of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) system were used during the bridge testing phase. A novel symmetry index is introduced using statistical analyses of deflection and strain measurements. Frequency Domain Decomposition (FDD) is implemented to the strain measurements to estimate the bridge mode shapes and damping ratios. Furthermore, Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) is also implemented to examine the reliability of bridge performance while ambient design trucks are in static or moving at different speeds. Strain, displacement and acceleration were measured at selected locations on the bridge. The results show that the symmetry index can be an efficient and useful measure in assessing the steel bridge performance. The results from the used method reveal that the performance of the Sungsu bridge is safe under operational conditions.

방위각 개선을 위한 SDINS/GPS/ZUPT 결합 지상 항법 시스템 (SDINS/GPS/ZUPT Integration Land Navigation System for Azimuth Improvement)

  • This study describes an SDINS/GPS/ZUPT integration algorithm for land navigation systems. The SDINS error can be decoupled in two parts. The first part is the the Schuler component which does not depend on object motion parameters, and the other is the Non-Schuler part which depends on the product of object acceleration and azimuth error. Azimuth error causes SDINS error in proportion to the traversed distance. The proposed system consists of a GPS/SDINS integration system and an SDINS/ZUPT integration system, which are both realized by an indirect feedforward Kalman filter. The main difference between the two is whether the estimate includes the Non-Schuler error or not, which is decided by the measurement type. Consequently, subtracting GPS/SDINS outputs from SDINS/ZUPT outputs provide the Non-Schuler error information which can be applied to improving azimuth accuracy. Simulation results using the raw data obtained from a van test attest that the proposed SDINS/GPS/ZUPT system is capable of providing azimuth improvement.

자동이득 제어루프를 이용한 진폭제어방식의 공진형 가속도계 설계 (Oscillation Amplitude-controlled Resonant Accelerometer Design using Aautomatic Gain Control Loop)

  • 본 논문에서는 안정된 진동을 얻기 위한 자동 이득 제어(AGC) 루프를 이용하여 자가 유지 특성을 갖는 공진형 가속도계를 설계하였다. 제안된 가속도계의 기본 원리는 가속도 입력시, 가변 진동의 진폭을 일정하게 유지시키는 방법을 이용한다. 시스템 모델링과 진동의 포락선을 고려한 루프 설계 및 변환를 통하여 다양한 가속도 입력 하에서 진동 신호의 진폭을 일정하게 유지하도록 제어기를 설계하였고, 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해 실현가능성을 확인하였다. 따라서 고안된 공진 가속도계는 산업과 민간 응용 분야에 있어서 제어용 등급의 관성 측정 시스템에 적용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

3축 가속도 센서를 이용한 u-헬스케어 에이전트 시스템 개발 (Development of u-Healthcare Agent System using of 3-Axis Accelerometer Sensor)

  • 사람들의 건강에 관련된 혈당, 혈압, 활동량 등을 생체 센서를 이용하여서 생체 정보를 획득하고, 건강상태를 모니터링하기 위한 시스템을 개발하기 위한 연구가 많이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서 생체 정보를 모니터링하여 분석하는 u-헬스 케어 에이전트 시스템을 개발하였다. 활동량 측정은 3축 가속도계 센서 기술을 이용한다. 3축 가속도 센서에서 획득되는 정보를 이용하여 활동량을 분석하여 정확한 활동량을 계산하는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 기존 시스템들 보다 더 정확한 소모 칼로리를 계산하고, 이를 데이터베이스에 저장 관리한다. 또한 활동량과 생체 정보를 활용하여 건강 상태를 점검할 수 있다.
