CONDENSED CRAMER RULE FOR COMPUTING A KIND OF RESTRICTED MATRIX EQUATION

  • The problem of finding Cramer rule for solutions of some restricted linear equation Ax = b has been widely discussed. Recently Wang and Qiao consider the following more general problem AXB = D, $R(X){\subset}T$, $N(X){\supset}\tilde{S}$. They present the solution of above general restricted matrix equation by using generalized inverses and give an explicit expression for the elements of the solution matrix for the matrix equation. In this paper we re-consider the restricted matrix equation and give an equivalent matrix equation to it. Through the equivalent matrix equation, we derive condensed Cramer rule for above restricted matrix equation. As an application, condensed determinantal expressions for $A_{T,S}^{(2)}$ A and $AA_{T,S}^{(2)}$ are established. Based on above results, we present a method for computing the solution of a kind of restricted matrix equation.

동축분류 확산화염에서 화염안정화와 연소특성에 관한 연구 (An Experimental Study on Flame Stability and Combustion Characteristics of Coaxial Diffusion Flame)

  • A study for the flame stability and the combustion characteristics of coaxial diffusion flame was conducted. The fuel employed was natural gas. The experimental variables were rim thickness of fuel tube, blockage ratio of the outer diameter of fuel tube to the inner diameter of air tube, and momentum ratio of fuel to air. It was consequently found that the stability in the neighborhood of the fuel rim depended on the rim thickness, especially in the case of above 3 mm, and that the stable region of the flame extended remarkably due to the formation of recirculation zone above rim. The effect of the blockage ratio on the flame stability was found to be minor in the case of above 3 mm of rim thickness. Between the momentum ratio 2 and 3, the stable flame zone was widely established as well good combustion. With increasing the fuel-air momentum ratio, axial velocity, turbulence intensity, and Reynolds stress increased.

대형 고속 선박용 프로펠러의 해수 중 피로강도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fatigue Strength of Propellers for High Speed and Large Ships in Sea Water)

  • Recently there has been a remarkable increase in the number of high speed and large ships, and the high power involved for propulsion of above ships have brought high pitch ratio and high skew propeller. The recent tendency toward highly skewed propeller has increased the load on propeller blades and the fatigue strength of propeller blades has become the critical point in design of propellers for above ships. In this paper fatigue tests in sea water were carried out on propeller material of Ni-Al bronze. The stress and environmental conditions of the test were selected to be close to those of full size propellers in use. The effect of stress ratio, stress frequency, revolution number of propeller for above ships numbers and so on were discussed.

산소부화공기가 동축 비예혼합 제트의 연소특성에 미치는 영향 (I) - 화염의 부상과 안정성 (Effect of Oxygen Enriched Air on the Combustion Characteristics in a Coaxial Non-Premixed Jet ( I ) - Lift-off and Flame Stability -)

  • Combustion using oxygen enriched air is known as a technology which can increase flame stability as well as thermal efficiency due to improving the burning rate. Lift-off, blowout limit and flame length were examined as a function of jet velocity, coflow velocity and OEC(Oxygen Enriched Concentration). Blowout limit of the flame below OEC 25% decreased with increase of coflow velocity, but the limit above OEC 25% increased inversely. Lift-off height decreased with increase of OEC. In particular, lift-off hardly occurred in the condition above OEC 40%. Flame length of the flames above OEC 40% was increased until the blowout occurred. Great flame stability was obtained since lift-off and blowout limit significantly increased with increase of OEC.

  • Huffman, Park and Skoug introduced various results for the $L_{p}$ analytic Fourier-Feynman transform and the convolution for functionals on classical Wiener space which belong to some Banach algebra $\mathcal{S}$ introduced by Cameron and Storvick. Also Chang, Kim and Yoo extended the above results to an abstract Wiener space for functionals in the Fresnel class $\mathcal{F}(B)$ which corresponds to $\mathcal{S}$. Moreover they introduced the $L_{p}$ analytic Fourier-Feynman transform for functionals on a product abstract Wiener space and then established the above results for functionals in the generalized Fresnel class $\mathcal{F}_{A1,A2}$ containing $\mathcal{F}(B)$. In this paper, we investigate more generalized relationships, between the Fourier-Feynman transform and the convolution product for functionals in $\mathcal{F}_{A1,A2}$, than the above results.

Tank/liquor-flow 방식에 의한 폴리에스테르 직물의 감량특성 (Properties of Alkali Hydrolyzed Polyester Fabric by Tank/Liquor-flow Method)

  • In this study, PET fabric was hydrolyzed with NaOH using the Tank m/c and Liquor-flow m/c to determine the alkali hydrolysis properties of PET fabrics. The results were as follows : The weft density and tensile strength of PET fabrics hydrolyzed with Liquor-flow m/c were higher than those hydrolyzed with Tank m/c in case of less than 10% of weight loss. However, above 10% of weight loss, reverse phenomenon was showed. K/S value of hydrolyzed PET with Liquor-flow m/c was higher than that with Tank m/c above 10% of weight loss. It was observed that the micropores of PET surface were collapsed due to physical force(abrasion and collision) during hydrolysis. Bending rigidity of hydrolyzed PET fabric was about 32% and 40% of bending rigidity of warp and weft direction of untreated fabric at 7% of weight loss, respectively. Above 7% of weight loss, decrease rate was decreased.

개방성 동맥관 수술 보고 (40 예) (Surgical Treatment of Patent Ductus Aretriosus: Report of 40 cases)

  • Since 1973, 40 patients with Patent Ductus Arteriosus were operated in The Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, Korea University Medical College. Clinical analysis of these cases: 1. Age ranged from 8 months old to 28 years old Sex ratio was 22 females to 18 males. 2. Pulse pressure widening above 50 mmHg was appeared in 27 patients. In 31 patients, continuous machinery murmur was heard on left second and third intercostal space, but 9 patients has holosystolic murmur on left sternal border. 3. Retrograde Aortography was performed in 11 patients and right heart catheterization, 17 patients, In 8 patients, pulmonary hypertension [above 30 mmHg in` systole] was noted. 3 out of 8 patients was combined with Ventricular Septal Defect. Severe pulmonary hypertension [above 80mmHg in systole] was presented in 3 patients. 4. In 38 patients, operative method was performed with multiple suture ligation of PDA, and in 2 patients, suture closure through pulmonary arteriotomy under cardiopulmonary bypass. 5. One operative death occurred in a patient in this group. Cause of death was right heart failure after multiple suture ligation of PDA and pulmonary artery bandings.

  • The above theorm states that much larger classes of differential games have an equilibrium. The most severe assumption is the second one. It requires that state dynamic equations be linear on his own control variables. But, the dynamic programming approach applied in the above is hardly implementable for the purpose of computation. It is very difficult to solve (SP$_{it}$) directly. Notice, however, the problem can be transformed into a Hamiltonian maximization problem which is easy to solve if initial conditions are given. In this way, it is possible to design a solution algorithm to problems with nonlinear constraints. The above two theorems probide a basis for such an algorithm.m.

고농도 오존일의 강우와 운량 (Precipitation and Cloud Cover on High Ozone Days)

  • Effects of precipitation and cloud cover on high ozone days are examined by investigating the precipitation and average cloud cover before the ozone peak time within a day. High ozone days above 100 ppb in the Greater Seoul Area(GSA) for the ozone season from May to September are chosen for the analyses in terms of the surface meteorological data during 1990~1997. The result shows that the effect of precipitation on the rise of ozone concentration is definitely negative so that ozone concentration could not rise above 100ppb immediately after precipitation. But, the effect of cloud cover is associated with the variations of other meteorological parameters. The number of high ozone days with "zero" cloud cover is rather less than that with cloud cover of 1 to 4 since temperature is usually lower in "zero" cloud cover days. Furthermore, ozone concentration can rise above 100ppb even with full cloud cover when the wind is weak and the temperature is high.temperature is high.
