  • We introduce Clapp-Puppe type generalized Lusternik-Schnirelmann (co)category in a Quillen model category. We establish some of their basic properties and give various characterizations of them. As the first application of these characterizations, we show that our generalized (co)category is invariant under Quillen modelization equivalences. In particular, generalized (co)category is invariant under Quillen modelization equivalences. In particular, generalized (co)category of spaces and simplicial sets coincide. Another application of these characterizations is to define and study rational cocategory. Various other applications are also given.

  • Shape descriptors play an important role in systems for object recognition, retrieval, registration, and analysis. Seven well-known descriptors including MPEG-7 visual descriptors arebriefly reviewed and a new robust pattern recognition descriptor is proposed. Performance comparison among descriptors are presented. Experiments show that the newly proposed descriptor yields better performance results than Fourier, invariant moment, and edge histogram descriptors.

  • The aim of the present paper is to study pseudoparallel invariant submanifold of a (𝜅, 𝜇)-paracontact metric manifold. We consider pseudoparallel, Ricci-generalized pseudoparallel and 2-Ricci generalized pseudo parallel invariant submanifolds of a (𝜅, 𝜇)-paracontact metric manifold and we obtain new results contribute to geometry.

  • Let X be a minimal symplectic four-manifold with ${b_2}^{+}$=1 and $c_1(K)^2\;\geq\;0$. Then we show that there are no symple tic structures $\omega$ such that $$c_1(K)$\cdot\omega$ > 0, if X contains an embedded symplectic submanifold $\Sigma$ satisfying $\int_\Sigmac_1$(K)<0.

  • For the evaluation algebra $F[e^{{\pm}x}]_M\;if\;M=\{{\partial}\}$, then $$Der_{non}(F[e^{{\pm}x}]_M)$$ of the evaluation algebra $(F[e^{{\pm}x}]_M)$ is found in the paper [15]. For $M=\{{\partial},\;{\partial}^2\}$, we find $Der_{non}(F[e^{{\pm}x}]_M))$ of the evaluation algebra $F[e^{{\pm}x}]_M$ in this paper. We show that there is a non-associative algebra which is the direct sum of derivation invariant subspaces.

  • In this paper we consider the notion of ξ-invariant or (equation omitted)-invariant real hypersurfaces in a complex two-plane Grassmannian $G_2$( $C^{m+2}$) and prove that there do not exist such kinds of real hypersurfaces in $G_2$( $C^{m+2}$) with parallel second fundamental tensor on a distribution ζ defined by ζ = ξ U(equation omitted), where(equation omitted) = Span {ξ$_1$, ξ$_2$, ξ$_3$}.X>}.

  • We introduce semi-slant submersions from almost Hermitian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds as a generalization of slant submersions, semi-invariant submersions, anti-invariant submersions, etc. We obtain characterizations, investigate the integrability of distributions and the geometry of foliations, etc. We also find a condition for such submersions to be harmonic. Moreover, we give lots of examples.

  • Kanenobu has given infinite families of knots with the same HOMFLY polynomial invariant but distinct Alexander module structure. In this paper, we give a recursive formula for the Khovanov cohomology of all Kanenobu knots K(p, q), where p and q are integers. The result implies that the rank of the Khovanov cohomology of K(p, q) is an invariant of p + q. Our computation uses only the basic long exact sequence in knot homology and some results on homologically thin knots.

  • In this paper we will introduce all types of the isotwist foldings of a manifold M into itself. The limits of the isotwist foldings of a manifold are obtained. Also the relations between conditional retraction and this type of the folding are achieved. Finally the variant and invariant of the immersion under the type of folding are deduced.

  • This raper propose a matching algorithm using voronoi diagram for rotation and translation invariant fingerprint identification. The proposed algorithm extracts geometrical structures that ate derived from voronoi diagram of a fingerprint image. Then distances and angles are extracted from the geometrical structure and saved indexing form for fingerprint matching. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm invariant to fingerprint rotation and translation requirements and matching time.
