  • This paper deals with developing a remote & real-time Computer-Aided Logistics Support (CALS) Systems through Information Super-Highway. A prototype of CALS is designed and implemented considering the environment of Information Super Highway. The concept of CSCW based virtual enterprise is discussed in con-nection with the four different activities. development of remote & virtual equipment controller remote-monitoring & inspection real time tracking of logistics information and web-based bidding and delivery system. A real implemented system is demonstrated under the Infor-mation Super-Highway with the corresponding software and hardware configuration.

  • As Internet of Things(IoT) has become one of the most rapidly growing market in the world, the number of embedded Android devices has increased. Therefore, it is necessary to set up an environment that connects and cooperates between the devices via network. The environment requires an ability not only to obtain information about other devices through a network but to control remote devices by invoking remote procedures. This paper suggests the Remote Binder, which is a method for remote procedure call between devices operating on Android platform. It invokes procedures of other Android devices without any revisions via network by extending the binder structure which is used for inter-process communication in Android.

  • Throughout the wavelengths used by remote sensing sensors, the mid-wave infrared (MWIR) has wide applicability in our life such as land, environment, disasters, and military defense. However, due to the unique characteristics of the MWIR, remote sensing techniques in this wavelength region has not been greatly developed. Recently, the applied remote sensing techniques for the MWIR sensors are presenting in a new research field, and various research results are being reported domestically and internationally. In this study, research results on the MWIR remote sensing techniques developed were investigated and related literature records were statistically analyzed. Furthermore, based on the literature review of the current and past MWIR remote sensing techniques and major research results, current status and research trends of MWIR remote sensing are presented.

  • Flood is the main natural disaster mostly in the world. It is a care problem to prevent flood disaster generally. The frequency of flood disaster is high and the distributing field is wide, the 50 percent population and 70 percent properties distribute at the threaten field of flood disaster in China. It includes a brief history of the PORSEC Association with its mission and aims and the system of governance of the organization. Our vision for the future, is presented from this president's point of view. It includes a discussion of building expert capacity to use remote sensing techniques in developing nations by the sharing of knowledge and our ability to promote predictability of natural hazards with our workshops and science sessions.   • This paper describes the design of a remote control device that can control the ON/OFF state of multiple air compressors using wireless communication. The main remote controller and air compressor remote controller were designed using a microprocessor (ATmega128), and the circuit diagram was configured to wirelessly communicate using A Zigbee module between the two remote controllers. The result of the measurement of wireless communication distance between the two remote controllers was more than 1.1 km.

  • A new method, called dynamic space projection method that is suitable to remote sensing image, is adopted to encrypt GCP (ground control point) datum in this paper. The essence of this method is to encrypt enough GCP by using a few known GCP in order to realize the precise correction of remote sensing image. By making use of the method to the GCP datum encrypting and precise geometric correction of TM image and SPOT image, the precision of encrypted GCP is less than one pixel, the precision of precisely corrected image is less than two pixels.

Remote Fault Diagnosis Method of Wind Power Generation Equipment Based on Internet of Things

  • According to existing study into the remote fault diagnosis procedure, the current diagnostic approach has an imperfect decision model, which only supports communication in a close distance. An Internet of Things (IoT)-based remote fault diagnostic approach for wind power equipment is created to address this issue and expand the communication distance of fault diagnosis. Specifically, a decision model for active power coordination is built with the mechanical energy storage of power generation equipment with a remote diagnosis mode set by decision tree algorithms. These models help calculate the failure frequency of bearings in power generation equipment, summarize the characteristics of failure types and detect the operation status of wind power equipment through IoT. In addition, they can also generate the point inspection data and evaluate the equipment status. The findings demonstrate that the average communication distances of the designed remote diagnosis method and the other two remote diagnosis methods are 587.46 m, 435.61 m, and 454.32 m, respectively, indicating its application value.
