A model for calculating structure interacted mechanics is proposed. A structural interaction model and controller design based on tuned mass damping (TMD) was developed to control the induced vibration. A key point is to introduce a new analytical model to evaluate the properties of the TMD that recognizes the motion-dependent nonlinear response observed in the simulations. Aiming at the problem of increased current harmonics and low efficiency of permanent magnet synchronous motors for electric vehicles due to dead time effect, a dead time compensation method based on neural network filter and current polarity detection is proposed. Firstly, the DC components and the higher harmonic components of the motor currents are obtained by virtue of what the neural network filters and the extracted harmonic currents are adjusted to the required compensation voltages by virtue of what the neural network filters. Then, the extracted DC components are used for current polarity dead time compensation control to avert the false compensation when currents approach zero. The neural network filter method extracts the required compensation voltages from the speed component and the current polarity detection compensation method obtains the required compensation voltages by discriminating the current polarity. The combination of the two methods can more precisely compensate the dead time effect of the control system to improve the control performance. Furthermore, based on the relaxed method, the intelligent approach of stability criterion can be regulated appropriately and the artificial TMD was found to be effective in reducing cross-wind vibrations.
In this paper, an improved predictive functional control (PFC) scheme for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) control system is proposed, on account of the standard PFC method cannot provides a satisfying disturbance rejection performance in the case of strong disturbances. The PFC-based method is first introduced in the control design of speed loop, since the good tracking and robustness properties of the PFC heavily depend on the accuracy of the internal model of the plant. However, in orthodox design of prediction model based control method, disturbances are not considered in the prediction model as well as the control design. A minimum-order observer (MOO) is introduced to estimate the disturbances, which structure is simple and can be realized at a low computational load. This paper adopted the MOO to observe the load torque, and the observations are then fed back into PFC model to rebuild it when considering the influence of perturbation. Therefore, an improved PFC strategy with torque compensation, called the PFC+MOO method, is presented. The validity of the proposed method was tested via simulation and experiments. Excellent results were obtained with respect to the speed trajectory tracking, stability, and disturbance rejection.
A numerical formula that presents relationship between a point of a satellite image and its ground position is called a sensor model. For precise geolocation of satellite images, we need an error-free sensor model. However, the sensor model based on GOES ephemeris data has some error, in particular after Image Motion Compensation (IMC) mechanism has been turned off. To solve this problem, we investigate three sensor models: Collinearity model, Direct Linear Transform (DLT) model and Orbit-based model. We apply matching between GOES images and global coastline database and use successful results as control points. With control points we improve the initial image geolocation accuracy using the three models. We compare results from three sensor models that are applied to GOES-9 images. As a result, a suitable sensor model for precise geolocation of GOES-9 images is proposed.
This paper presents a disturbance observer-based robust backstepping load-following control (DO-RBLFC) scheme for modular high-temperature gas-cooled reactors (MHTGRs) in the presence of actuator saturation and disturbances. Based on reactor kinetics and temperature reactivity feedback, the mathematical model of the MHTGR is first established. After that, a DO is constructed to estimate the unknown compound disturbances including model uncertainties, external disturbances, and unmeasured states. Besides, the actuator saturation is compensated by employing an auxiliary function in this paper. With the help of the DO, a robust load-following controller is developed via the backstepping technique to improve the load-following performance of the MHTGR subject to disturbances. At last, simulation and comparison results verify that the proposed DO-RBLFC scheme offers higher load-following accuracy, better disturbances rejection capability, and lower control rod speed than a PID controller, a conventional backstepping controller, and a disturbance observer-based adaptive sliding mode controller.

This paper deals with a new design methodology for a switching-type fuzzy-model-based controller in continuous and discrete-time system. Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model is employed to design the switching-type fuzzy-model-based controller. A switching-type fuzzy-model-based controller is constructed based on the spirit of “divide and conquer”. The global system which has several rules in divided into several subsystems and then, a solution is found at each subsystem. The global solution is determined by a conjunction of the solutions of each subsystem. The design conditions are formulated in terns of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which guarantee the stabilization of a given TS fuzzy system. Simulation examples are included for ensuring the proposed control method.
In this paper, a sampled-data observer-based decentralized fuzzy control technique is proposed for a class of nonlinear large-scale systems, which can be represented to a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy system. The premise variable is assumed to be measurable for the design of the observer-based fuzzy controller, and the closed-loop system is obtained. Based on an exact discretized model of the closed-loop system, the stability condition is derived for the closed-loop system. Also, the stability condition is converted into the linear matrix inequality (LMI) format. Finally, an example is provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.

In this paper, we develop the intelligent digitally redesigned fuzzy controller for nonlinear systems. Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model is used to model the nonlinear systems and a continuous-time fuzzy-model-based controller is designed based on the extended parallel-distributed-compensation(EPDC) method . The digital controllers are determined from existing analogue controllers. The proposed method provides an accurate and effective method for digital control of continuous-time nonlinear systems and enables us to efficiently implement a digital controller via the pre-determined continuous-time 75 fuzzy-model-based controller. We have applied the proposed method to the duffing forced oscillation system to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method.
This paper presents identification and control of a 10-m antenna via accelerometers and angle encoder data. Artificial Neural Networks can be used effectively for the identification and control of nonlinear dynamical system such as a large flexible antenna. Some identification results are shown and compared with the results of conventional prediction error method. And we use a neural network inverse model for control the large flexible antenna. In the neural network inverse model, a neural network is trained, using supervised learning, to develop an inverse model of the antenna. The network input is the process output, and the network output is the corresponding process input. The control results show the validation of the ANN approach for identification and control of the 10-m flexible antenna.
In this paper, we proposed an efficient method of management in which various design objects in the environments for distributed software development. Those design objects are created in the environments for distributed software development based on Unified Modeling Language as well as versions of source codes. In this research, a version control technique has been specially focused that is based on our proposed version rules to consistently control versions from web-based distributed software development which enables developers to independently manage distributed objects from the software development platform. Based on the version control technique, we have designed a web-based rule-control version management model that has been proposed here.

This paper addresses a damping control strategy of Static Synchronous Series Compensator(SSSC) and analysis model for stability study. The effect of injected voltage source generated by SSSC is modelled as equivalent load. This model is thought to be reasonable for the stability study because the dynamics of SSSC is very fast compared with that of power system. Damping controller of SSSC is based on Transient Energy Function method. The proposed control strategy is insensitive to the operating conditions like power flow level because control law depends on the phase angles. The proposed analysis model and control strategy was confirmed by WSCC 9 bus system and two area system. Especially, the robustness of proposed control strategy is demonstrated with respect to multiple operating conditions in two area system.
