Variable Structure Model Reference Adaptive Control, for SIMO Systems

  • A Variable Structure Model Reference Adaptive Controller (VS-MRAC) using state Variables is proposed for single input multi output systems. . The structure of the switching functions is designed based on stability requirements, and global exponential stability is proved. Transient behavior is analyzed using sliding mode control and shows perfect model following at a finite time. The effect of input disturbances on stability and transients is investigated and shows preference to the conventional MRAC schemes with integral adaptation law. Sliding surfaces are independent of system parameters and therefore VS-MRAC is insensitive to system parameter variations. Simulation is presented to clear the theoretical results.

모델 불확실성을 갖는 6자유도 원격조종 수중로봇의 외란 관측기 기반 제어 (Disturbance Observer-Based Control for 6-DOF Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle with Model Uncertainties)

  • This paper proposes a disturbance observer-based control for 6-DOF remotely operated underwater vehicles with model uncertainties. The sum of external disturbance and the forces generated from model parameters except for the inertial matrix of the hydrodynamic model is defined as a lumped disturbance in this paper. Then, the lumped disturbance caused by model uncertainties and the external forces is estimated using the disturbance observer. Fortunately, the disturbance observer is constructed as a linear form because all the elements of the inertial matrix of the hydrodynamic model are constants. To verify the proposed control scheme, we show that the actual lumped disturbance is similar to the estimated lumped disturbance obtained by the disturbance observer. Finally, the position tracking performance in the disturbance environment is confirmed through the comparative study with a traditional inverse dynamics PD controller.

  • An iterative lear-rung control scheme is newly designed in tile frequency domain. Purposing for batch process control, a generic form of feedback-assisted first-order learning is considered first, and the inverse model-based learning algorithm is derived through convergence analysis in the frequency domain. To enhance the robustness of the proposed scheme, a filtered version is also presented. Performance of the proposed scheme is evaluated through numerical simulations.

  • 본 논문에서는 SOFM기반 신경망 분류기를 이용한 매크로블록 기반 전송률제어 방식을 제안한다. 수학적 왜곡 비트율 모델과 귀환회기 방식을 기반으로 하는 기존의 전송률 제어 방법에 비하여, 제안된 방법은 전송비트 제어용 전역모델을 설정하고 이를 최적으로 제어할 수 있는 SOFM기반 신경망 분류기를 이용하여 영상특성 변화에 적극적인 대처를 할 수 있다. 제안된 전송률 제어 알고리즘은 기존의 MPEG-4 매크로블록 기반 전송률 제어 알고리즘에 비해 전체 연산 복잡도는 비슷하게 유지하면서 피크신호 대 잡음비의 비교에 있어서 0.2 dB ~ 0.6 dB 정도 성능이 우수함을 확인하였다.

  • 휴대폰 사용이 대중화됨에 따라 사람들이 때와 장소를 가지리 않고 휴대폰을 무분별하게 사용함으로써 나타나는 폐해가 심각하다. 특히, 휴대폰 사용이 병원의 전자 의료기기나 항공기 이착륙 시스템 등에 나쁜 영향을 끼친다는 연구 결과들이 발표되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 기기에 적용할 수 있는 상황인식 기반의 사용제어 모델을 제안한다. 즉, 위치와 시간, 주변소음 등의 상황정보에 따라 휴대폰 자체 및 모바일 콘텐츠의 사용을 제어하는 모델에 대해 연구하였다. 제안한 사용제어 모델은 '동적인 역할기반 접근제어' (Dynamic Role-based Access Control)을 포함한다. 제안한 시스템의 효용성을 확인하기 위해, PC 서버 및 임베디드 보드 상에 프로토타입 시스템을 구현하여 그 성능을 평가하였다.

  • A stores management software which is embedded in the stores management system requires high-level reliability and real-time processing. It also required to implement and verify protocols which requires timing constraints to control various weapons. In this paper, we propose design methodology to design a stores management software and its support middleware based on the TMO (Time-triggered Message-triggered Object) model.

  • Presented in this paper is a control model for developing virtual factory simulator, which is being operated under the distributed environment. The control model consists of production activity plan and information flows. To incorporate elements of the characteristics of the distributed control system, we suggested a collaboration model. This model is working under the client/server architecture, and also designed for cooperative-distributed shop control(CDSC) system in order to exploit several advantages of client/server architecture. Collaboration among each agent(or client) is done through negotiation and task sharing. Based on a contract net model, the CDSC system has three kinds of agents-order agent, resource agent, and communication forwarding agent. Each agent performs shop scheduling and control through negotiation on contract net. No node in CDSC system can have authority over other node. A bidding scheme is employed far negotiation between order agent and resource agents. The CDSC system can support re-negotiation among resource agents and an algorithm for re-negotiation is also developed. Experimental results are shown to advocate the effectiveness of the CDSC system for CIM environments.

재귀신경망을 이용한 다중모델/제어기 IMC의 과도 응답 개선 (Transient Response Improvement of Multiple Model/Controller IMC Using Recurrent Neural Networks)

  • The Multiple Model/Controller IMC(MMC-IMC) is a model-based control method which uses a set of model/controller pairs rather than a single model/controller to handle all possible operating conditions in the IMC control structure. During operation, one model/controller pair that best fit, for current plant situation is chosen by the switching algorithm. The major drawback of the switching controller is the bad transient performance due to the model error and the use fo linear controller for nonlinear plants. In this paper, we propose a method that transient response of the MMC-IMC using two recurrent neural networks. Simulation result shows that the proposed method represents better performance than the usual MMC-IMC`s.

  • Nowadays DC-DC converter has been used widely in electronic production. It has a high requirement in wide input voltage, load variations, stability, providing a fast transient response and the most important thing is that it can be applied easily and efficiently. However, it is not easy to be controlled because of nonlinear system. This study introduces a fuzzy linear control design method for nonlinear systems with optimal $H^{\infty}$ robustness performance. First, the Takagi and Sugeno fuzzy linear model is employed to approximate a nonlinear system. Next, based on the fuzzy linear model, a fuzzy controller is developed to stabilize the nonlinear system, and at the same time the effect of external disturbance on control performance is attenuated to a minimum level. Thus based on the fuzzy linear model, ��$H^{\infty}$ performance design can be achieved in nonlinear control systems. Linear matrix inequality (LMI) techniques are employed to solve this robust fuzzy control problem. PI control structure is used and the control gains are determined based on $H^{\infty}$ control.

  • This study proposes a model-based predictive control for interleaved multi-phase DC/DC converters. The power values necessary to adjust the output voltage in the succeeding are predicted using a converter model. The output power is controlled by selecting the optimal duty cycle. The proposed method does not require controller loops and modulators for converter switching. This method can control the converter by calculating the optimal duty cycle, which minimizes the error between the reference and actual output voltage. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulations and experiments.
