Adaptive Receding Horizon $H_{\infty}$ Controller Design for LPV Systems

  • This paper presents an adaptive receding horizon H$_{\infty}$ controller for the linear parameter varying systems in the deterministic environment, which combines a parameter range estimator and a robust receding horizon H$_{\infty}$ controller using the parameter bounds. Using parameter set inclusion and terminal inequality condition, the closed-loop system stability is guaranteed. It is shown that the stabilizing adaptive receding horizon H$_{\infty}$ controller guarantees the H$_{\infty}$ norm bound.

  • In this paper, we propose a hybrid d-step predictor which is composed of an adaptive predictor and a Kalman predictor. We prove the performance limit of the proposed predictor. Simulation is conducted to examine the performance of the proposed predictor. Simulation results show that the proposed combined predictor is superior to the adaptive predictor and the Kalman predictor. Proposed predictor is used for prediction of gun tip vibration of k1 tank. The result is compared with that of conventional adaptive predictor.

  • Comparing to the conventional adaptive filters using LMS algorithm, the proposed adaptive filters can reduce the amounts of computation and have robustness to variance of characteristics of input signals. LMS algorithm is performed in the domain of Hadamard transform after a reference signal and input signal are transformed by fast Hadamard transformation. As a transformation from time domain to Hadamard transformed domain, the proposed filter not only maintains the performance of estimating an input signal but also greatly reduces the number of multiplication. Moreover, the effect of characteristic changes of input signal is decreased. Computer simulation shows the stability and robustness of the proposed filter.

  • This paper is a study on the design of adptive filter for QRS complex detection. We propose a simple adaptive algorithm to increase capability of noise cancelation in QRS complex detection with two stage adaptive filter. At the first stage, background noise is removed and at the next stage, only spectrum of QRS complex components is passed. Two adaptive filters can afford to keep track of the changes of both noise and QRS complex. Each adaptive filter consists of prediction error filter and FIR filter The impulse response of FIR filter uses coefficients of prediction error filter. The detection rates for 105 and 108 of MIT/BIH data base were 99.3% and 97.4% respectively.

  • RLS algorithms are required for applications to adaptive line enhancers, adaptive equalizers for voiceband telephone and HF modems, and wide-badn digital spectrum mobile raio in which their convergence time and tracking speed are significant. The fast QR RLS algorithm satisfies above the requirements. Its computational complexity is linearly proportional to the tap number of a filter, N and its performance remains numerically stable. From the result of simumulation, the fast QR RLS algorithm represented Cioffi is better than gradient based algorithm in its initial performance when being applied to an adaptive line enhancer for cancelling noise.

  • A combined clock and data recovery (CDR) circuit with adaptive cancellation of data-dependent jitter (DDJ) is constructed in all-digital architecture which is amenable to deep submicron technology. The DDJ canceller uses an adaptive FIR filter to compen-sate for any unknown channel characteristic. The proposed CDR decreases jitter in the recovered clock since the DDJ canceller significantly cancels out incoming jitter caused by inter-symbol interference.

  • Direct & adaptive slicing of sculptured surfaces in RP improves, quality & accuracy of the final product, compared to the slicing with uniform layer thickness or the slicing of facets (ie, STL). Present D&A slicing procedures adaptively compute the next layer thickness based on the surface information of current sliced contour, which assumes constant normal curvature values. In some cases, however. such assumption leads to intolerable slicing result which cannot correctly consider the entire local feature shape. We propose improved adaptive slicing algorithms which can determine near-optimal layer thickness, including illustrated examples.

Adaptive Modulus를 이용한 NM-MMA 적응 등화 알고리즘의 성능 개선 (A Performance Improvement of NM-MMA Adaptive Equalization Algorithm using Adaptive Modulus)

  • 본 논문은 NM-MMA (Novel Mixed-Multi Modulus Algorithm) 알고리즘에서 고정 modulus 대신 adaptive modulus를 이용한 적응 등화 성능을 개선시킨 AM-NM-MMA (Adaptive Modulus-NM-MMA)에 관한 것이다. NM-MMA는 MMA의 정상 상태에서 적은 잔여량을 얻는 대신 수렴 속도가 느리며, SE-MMA는 수렴 속도가 빠르지만 잔여량이 증대되는 성능을 절충시키기 위해 등장하였다. 그러나 고정 modulus를 이용하므로 완전 등화 상태에서도 잔여량이 0이 되지 않아 등화 성능이 열화되므로 이를 개선하기 위하여 논문에서는 adaptive modulus를 적용하였으며, 이의 개선된 성능을 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하였다. 이를 위하여 등화 성능 지수로 등화기 출력 성상도, 잔류 isi, MD, MSE 및 SER 성능을 적용하였다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션의 결과 AM-NM-MMA는 NM-MMA보다 등화 출력 신호의 성상도, 잔류 isi, MD, MSE에서 수렴 속도와 잔여량에서는 우월하였으나, SER 성능에서는 열화됨을 확인하였다.

  • Purpose - This study examined the effect of empowering leadership on adaptive performance and verified the mediating effect of job challenge in the relationship between empowering leadership and adaptive performance. Additionally, this study investigated the moderating effect of agentic and communal traits in the relationship between supervisor's empowering leadership and adaptive performance of subordinates. Design/methodology/approach - This study used data collected from 279 participants via an online platform. Multiple regression analysis, bootstrapping, hierarchical regression analysis, and simple slope test were used to analyze the data. Findings - First, supervisor's empowering leadership had a positive effect on adaptive performance. Second, job challenge was found to mediate the relationship between supervisor's empowering leadership and adaptive performance. Third, the agentic trait showed a moderating effect on strengthening the relationship between supervisor's empowering leadership and adaptive performance. However, communal trait did not show a moderating effect. Research implications or Originality - This study examined the moderating effect of agentic traits in the relationship between empowering leadership and adaptive performance, which has not been investigated before.

CW 바이오 레이더에서 ALE(Adaptive Line Enhancer) 기반의 새로운 적응형 잡음제거기를 이용한 잡음제거 및 심장박동 검출 (Noise Cancellation and Detection of Heartbeat using A New Adaptive Noise Canceller Based on ALE(Adaptive Line Enhancer) in the CW Bio-radar)

  • 이 논문에서는 AWGN환경에서 발생하는 가우시안 잡음과 발진기에서 생기는 시스템 잡음을 제거할 수 있는 ALE(Adaptive Line Enhancer) 기반의 새로운 적응형 잡음 제거기를 이용한 CW(Continuous-Wave) 바이오 레이더를 제안한다. 최근에 CW 바이오 레이더를 이용해서 심장박동과 호흡을 검출하는 연구가 여러 연구기관에서 진행 되고 있다. 그러나 이 연구들은 기존 CW 바이오 레이더가 가우시안 잡음에 취약하고 그로 인해 심장박동 검출정확도도 떨어진다는 점을 설명을 하고 있긴 하지만, 그 잡음을 효과적으로 없앨 수 있는 방안은 계속 연구 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 기저대역 신호에 포함된 잡음을 효과적으로 제거할 수 있는 ALE기반의 적응형 잡음 제거기를 적용한 것을 제안한다. 또한 타겟의 위치에 따른 복조의 민감함에 강점을 가진 quadrature 수신기를 통과한 잡음이 포함된 기저대역 신호에서 잡음만을 효과적으로 제거함으로 인해 심장박동 검출 정확도를 향상시키는 것을 모의실험을 통해 비교 분석해 본다.
