  • Radar clutter in real environment is in general heterogeneous and especially nonstationary if radar geometry is of non-sidelooking monostatic structure or bistatic structure. These clutter properties lead to the insufficient number of secondary data of IID(Independent identically distributed) property, conclusively deteriorate clutter suppression performance. In this paper, we propose a clutter suppression algorithm that estimates the clutter signal belonging to cull under test via calculation using only prior information, rather than using the secondary data. Through analyzing the angle-Doppler spectrum of the clutter signal, we show the estimation of the clutter signal using prior information only is possible and present the derivation of a clutter suppression algorithm through eigen-value analysis. Finally, we show the performance of the proposed algorithm by simulation.

  • Nowadays, the whole world is putting in the knowledge information society by the internet which is connecting the global network. The internet enable us to see the life of the other people in real time. Most of health care professional obtain and update their new knowledge and skills through continuing education. EMTs who works five or ten shifts per day are not easy to attend continuing education session usually offered during their off-times. One of solutions to this problem would be to develop a education program which does not limit time and place. There has been increasing interest in the use of computers in medical education, but all designated facilities and teachers have no sufficient preparations for the education and training of EMT. There has been less attention to the rationale for the use and selection of applications. This article discusses an approach to the selection of medical informatics applications for the undergraduate medical curriculum. The aim of this study is to develop and evaluate a web-based continuing education program, to help EMT improve their knowledge of transfusion therapy and medical law, and to enhance their ability to contribute to the quality of patient care. The program generally was well received by EMTs. The program is a useful adjunct to the existing continuing education program. It also could be used in EMT student education and other health sciences.

  • In this paper, we wrote about the basic experimentation of Optical CT's temperature characteristic to measure high-current in a super-high-voltage electric power equipment which is using Faraday effect. We used the 1310[nm] Laser Diode as the light source and PIN Photodiode as receiver. For the transmission line of light, we used 30[m] single mode fiber which could maintain the state of polarization in the optical fiber. For the experiment, the temperature transformation device make by aluminium. the The range of current was from 400[A] and 1300[A] and the range of temperature was from $-40[^{\circ}C]\;to\;50[^{\circ}C]$. In a same experimental condition, magnitude increased input current increase follow by increasing proportion of input current.

  • In this paper, we took the basic experiment in order to explore the optical CT(optical current transformer) for measuring high current in a superhigh voltage condition. It is based on the faraday effect that changes the polarization characteristic of optical signals by the magnetic field. We used 1310[nm] laser diode for a light source and comprised a sensing part with the optional fiber of 5[m], 10[m], 20[m] length each. The range of current was from 400[A] to 1300[A]. We observed the characteristic of output that changes according to the length of the optical fiber composing the sensing part. The optical fiber of 5[m] length used for the sensing part had -11.1% of the maximum ratio of error and 10[m] and 20[m] length had -3.5% and 1.7% each. This means that the power and linearity of output increase in proportion to the length of optical fiber and applied current in the same experimental condition.

  • Recently, ozone has been utilized in various fields thanks to its effectiveness, and has been in ever-growing demand. Accordingly, various kinds of ozonizers have been examined among researchers. This paper is concerned with developing the cascade-type plate electrode ozonizer(PTO) for improvements of indoor air, water supply and drainage and investigating its characteristics. Four types of ozonizers have been devised according to their size, numbers and arrangement Electric discharge area of each type of ozonizer has the same size of 22,400[$mm^2$], and its discharge power has the maximum 40[w]. As the result of having studied ozone generation ozone concentration and ozone yield characteristics of each ozonizer, we found that the type of ozonizer in which eight plates were arranged into cascade type(PTO-4) was the most excellent one.

  • Platform screen doors (PSD) installed at 289 stations in Seoul metropolitan subway from November 2005 to December 2009, are expected to prevent death from a fall and improve air quality. In this study, we systematically surveyed changes in radon concentrations before and after PSD installation in Seoul metropolitan subway stations. By solid-state nuclear track detectors (SSNTD), the radon concentrations before and after the PSD installation were measured at 54 stations of 6 lines from 2 to 7 reported to have relatively high radon concentrations. Mean radon concentrations at platforms were decreased by approximately 56% from 121.7 Bq/$m^3$ to 54.0 Bq/$m^3$. Before PSD installation, mean radon concentrations were in the decreasing order for subway lines 7, 5, 6, 3, 4 and 2. On the other hand, after PSD installation the order was changed to 5, 6, 7, 3, 4 and 2. According to a radon map of Seoul metropolitan subway, the number of platforms where radon concentration over was 74 Bq/$m^3$ decreased from 38 to 12 after PSD installation.

  • Despite the growing need for customized operating system kernels for embedded devices, kernel development continues to suffer from insufficient reliability and high testing cost for several reasons such as the high complexity of the kernel code. To alleviate these difficulties, this study proposes the MOdel-based KERnel Testing (MOKERT) framework for detection of concurrency bugs in the kernel. MOKERT translates a given C program into a corresponding Promela model, and then tries to find a counter example with regard to a given requirement property, If found, MOKERT executes that counter example on the real kernel code to check whether the counter example is a false alarm or not, The MOKERT framework was applied to the Linux proc file system and confirmed that the bug reported in a ChangeLog actually caused a data race problem, In addition, a new data race bug in the Linux proc file system was found, which causes kernel panic.

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of dietary fish oil inclusion on the eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) contents and organoleptic characteristics of breast meat in mule ducks. Three hundred mule ducks at four weeks of age were randomly assigned to three dietary treatments with five replicate pens in each. One replicate pen had ten males and females each with a total of 100 ducks in each treatment. The diet in the three treatments contained 0, 1.5, and 3.0% fish oil, respectively. Body weights at 4, 6, 8, and 10 weeks of age, and feed efficiency at 4 to 6, 6 to 8, and 8 to 10 weeks of age were recorded. At 10 weeks of age, one male and one female from each replicate were sacrificed for oxidative stability of breast meat and the sacrificed males were employed for the analysis of fatty acids in breast meat and skin. Sensory evaluation of breast meat was also performed. A level of 3.0% fish oil in the diet significantly deteriorated feed efficiency and body weight gain. Dietary fish oil inclusion had a trend of increasing abdominal fat deposition and decreasing the flavor of breast meat. The EPA and DHA contents in the breast meat were higher than those in the breast skin irrespective of oil sources. The EPA and DHA contents in breast meat and breast skin was significantly increased in the 3.0% fish oil group. Although EPA and DHA were not efficiently deposited in the duck meat through dietary fish oil inclusion, this method can still provide a partial supplementation of EPA and DHA.

  • Purpose: To assess the internal echo intensity and morphological variability of masseter muscles on ultrasonography and to establish diagnostic criterion of estimation. Materials and Methods: Participants consisted of 50 young adults (male 25, female 25) without pathologic conditions and with full natural dentitions. Sonographic examinations were done with real time ultrasound equipment as Logiq 500 (GE Medical Systems, Seoul, Korea) at 3 parts according to lines paralleling with ala-tragus line as reference line. The thickness and area of masseter muscles according to reference line in cross-sectional images were measured at rest and at maximum contraction. The visibility and width of the internal echogenic intensity of the masseter muscles were also assessed and the muscle appearance was classified into 4 types. Data were statistically analyzed by paired t-test and $x^2$-test. Results: 1. When comparing the thickness and area of masseter muscles concerning with gender, there was few significant difference between right and left sides, however, there were significant differences between males and females except for the greatest thickness of left side. 2. The changes of the greatest thickness and the area between rest and maximum contraction showed that the part of the least thickness manifested more increase at maximum contraction. 3. Each part the manifestations of the internal echogenic intensity of the masseter muscles were different depending on the locations. But there was no statistically significance. Conclusion: Changes of muscles thickness with contraction and internal echogenic intensity with locations showed great disparity within the masseter muscles, which will be diagnostic criteria for pathophysiologic and anatomic changes of masseter muscles.

  • ZnO thin films were prepared on a glass substrate by radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering without intentional substrate heating and then surfaces of the ZnO films were irradiated with intense electrons in vacuum condition to investigate the effect of electron bombardment on crystallization, surface roughness, morphology and hydrogen gas sensitivity. In XRD pattern, as deposited ZnO films show a higher ZnO (002) peak intensity. However, the peak intensity for ZnO (002) is decreased with increase of electron bombarding energy. Atomic force microscope images show that surface morphology is also dependent on electron bombarding energy. The surface roughness increases due to intense electron bombardment as high as 2.7 nm. The observed optical transmittance means that the films irradiated with intense electron beams at 900 eV show lower transmittance than the others due to their rough surfaces. In addition, ZnO films irradiated by the electron beam at 900 eV show higher hydrogen gas sensitivity than the films that were electron beam irradiated at 450 eV. From XRD pattern and atomic force microscope observations, it is supposed that intense electron bombardment promotes a rough surface due to the intense bombardments and increased gas sensitivity of ZnO films for hydrogen gas. These results suggest that ZnO films irradiated with intense electron beams are promising for practical high performance hydrogen gas sensors.
