This research was carried out in order to establish the production technique for Poong-san dog’s frozen semen, by examining the semen characteristic and the volume of glycerol added to the dilution solution, thawing temperature and sperm motility and viability as well as the motility using CASA according to time variation. Average semen volume was 5.9ml, sperm concentration 116.3×106 sperm/ml, total sperm number 789.3×106 sperm, motility 88.7±1.7% and viability 87.6±7.8%. When it was cryopreservation and thawed at different glycerol concentrated extender, it showed 52.7% motility and 57.7±10.3% viability at 7% glycerol, compared to other treatments. For semen cryogeny, at conditions of 5, 7cm and a height of 10cm for pre-cryogeny and maintaining the semen at 7cm from the surface of liquid nitrogen resulted in profitable motility and viability.

The phages of Bacillus subtilis SNU 816 were observed by electron microscope with their host. The results are as follows; The phage had hexagonal head, contractile tail sheath and base plate with six tail fibers. During the lysis of bacteria due to attack of phage, dissolution of flagella were initiated from distal end of flagella.

Repeater Duplexer of 800MHz band consists of 4pole transmitter band pass filter, receiver band pass filter and branch circuit. Circuit parameter of Duplexer such as coupled capacitance of equivalent circuit was drawn out and used to coupled line characteristics impedance (Zoo, Zoe) that satisfied resonator condition and attenuation condition. Simulation was carried out by the ADS(Advanced Design System) were obtained good attenuation characteristics (869~894MHz： 65㏈(Min.),824~349MHz： 65㏈(Min.)

국내 수의학 분야에서 야생 및 동물원동물 (zoo and wild animal)의 질병은 주로 대단위 동물원에서 임상적인 측면에서 발전하여 왔으며, 일부 제한적인 분야이고 정밀 실험실 진단이 뒷받침되지 않은 예들이 많았다. 따라서 1990년 이후 서울대학교 수의과대학 및 국립수의과학검역원에 검사 의뢰된 야생동물 중 질병으로 판명된 예 들을 살펴봄으로써, 국내 야생 및 동물원동물 질병의 진단 및 치료에 다소나마 도움이 되고자 한다. (중략)

The objective of this study was to understand the effect of hwangtoh and slag on various properties of concrete. Main variables were replacement level of admixtures, hwangtoh and slag, and curing temperature. Test results indicated that the compressive strength of concrete replaced by either hwangtoh and slag was significantly influenced by curing temperature. The elasticity modulus and compressive peak strain of concrete showed a small increase with increasing hwangtoh replacement.

In this paper, we present an equalization scheme for 8-VSB signals for the ATSC DTV system. We propose a complex feedback filter and complex feedback sample generator for DFE to equalize 8-VSB signals in order to efficiently remove multipath distortions causing leakages from the qudrature component. We show that the proposed structure outperforms the conventional DFE used for the digital VSB which uses a real-valued feedback filter with real-valued decisions.

Early-type dwarf galaxies are the most numerous galaxies in dense environments, making them ideal probes of the mechanisms that govern galaxy formation and evolution. Despite the common picture of an early-type dwarf galaxy as a quiescent one with no star formation and little gas, recent systematic investigations of early-type dwarf galaxies in the cluster revealed an unexpected variety among these apparently simple objects. In this talk, I review intriguing complexity of early-type dwarf galaxies in the cluster. I will also briefly introduce a new catalog of galaxies in the Virgo cluster using SDSS data, extended Virgo Cluster Catalog (EVCC).
