송대 선종사원의 승당과 고원 배치 전통 (A Study on the Tradition of the Setting of Seungdang and Gowon in the Zen Buddhist Temples of Song Dynasty)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the historical background of the setting of seungdang(僧堂) and gowon (庫院) in the Zen Buddhist temples of Song dynasty, in terms of as a Buddhist temple universality and as a Zen temple specificity, through the historical reference investigation on its relevance to the Buddhist temples of Tang dynasty. In the Zen Buddhist temples of Song dynasty, the Zen meditation space of seungdang was located on the west side of Buddha hall, and the kitchen and officiating priest's living space of gowon was located on the east side of Buddha hall. Through the analysis of historical reference it was confirmed that, in the Buddhist temples of Tang dynasty, the Zen meditation section of seonwon(禪院) was on the west side, and the gowon was on the east side too. Therefore, it can be said that, the setting method of seungdang and gowon of the Zen Buddhist temples of Song dynasty was established above tradition of the Tang dynasty Buddhist temples.

Lactobacilli와 Saccharomyces 혼합균주의 대두발효액(Zen) 섭취가 인체의 혈액성상에 미친 영향 (Effect of Soybean Fermentation (Zen) Intake on Human Blood Characteristics of Mixed Lactobacilli and Saccharomyces)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 한국인 대상자에게 12종의 Lactobacillus균주와 4종의 Yeast 혼합 발효용액을 8주간 섭취한 대상자들의 일부 혈액성상에 미치는 영향을 연구하는 것이 목적이었다. 방법: 대상자들의 혈액을 채취하여 임상병리학적 혈액 성분 검사를 실시하였다. 결과: 백혈구 수의 조사에서는. Zen발효액을 섭취한 실험군의 사전 검사치 평균은 5.73×103 cells/µl, 사후의 평균은 5.37×103 cells/µl로 감소하였으나 차이 값은 유의성은 없었다. 대조군은 모두 유의성이 없었다. Hemoglobin 함량의 조사에서는 Zen-실험군의 섭취전의 평균 수치는 13.58 g/dl이었고, 섭취 후에는 14.77 g/dl이었으며, 유의성이 있게 증가했다. Albumin 함량 조사에서는 Zen-실험군의 섭취전의 평균 수치는 4.33 g/dl이었고, 섭취 후에는 4.36 g/dl이었으나, 유의성은 없이 증가했다. Triglyceride 함량을 조사에서는 Zen-실험군의 사전 측정치 평균은 109.8 mg/dl, 사후의 측정치 평균은 99.93 mg/dl로 9.87 mg/dl로 감소하였으나 유의성이 없었다. LDL 함량 조사에서는 Zen-실험군의 사전 측정치 평균은 109 mg/dl, 사후의 측정치 평균은 97.87 mg/dl로 나타났으며, 차이 값이 11.13 mg/dl로 유의성이 있게 감소하였다. HDL 함량조사에서는 Zen-실험군은 사전 검사치 평균이 51.4 mg/dl, 사후는 56.87 mg/dl로 나타나 차이 값이 5.47 mg/dl이 증가하여 유의한 차이를 보이었다. 결론: Zen발효액을 섭취한 후에는 실험군의 평균치는 백혈구, albumin, triglyceride는 유의한 차이는 없었고, hemoglobin, LDL 그리고 HDL은 유의한 차이를 보이었다. 인체에서 Zen의 섭취가 혈액 성분의 일부 신진대사에는 영향이 있었다고 판단된다.

Evaluation of Oxidative DNA Damage Using an Alkaline Single Cell Gel Electrophoresis (SCGE) Comet Assay, and the Protective Effects of N-Acetylcysteine Amide on Zearalenone-induced Cytotoxicity in Chang Liver Cells

  • Zearalenone (ZEN) is a non-steroidal estrogenic mycotoxin produced by several species of Fusarium that are found in cereals and agricultural products. ZEN has been implicated in mycotoxicosis in farm animals and in humans. The toxic effects of ZEN are well known, but the ability of an alkaline Comet assay to assess ZEN-induced oxidative DNA damage in Chang liver cells has not been established. The first aim of this study was to evaluate the Comet assay for the determination of cytotoxicity and extent of DNA damage induced by ZEN toxin, and the second aim was to investigate the ability of N-acetylcysteine amide (NACA) to protect cells from ZEN-induced toxicity. In the Comet assay, DNA damage was assessed by quantifying the tail extent moment (TEM; arbitrary unit) and tail length (TL; arbitrary unit), which are used as indicators of DNA strand breaks in SCGE. The cytotoxic effects of ZEN in Chang liver cells were mediated by inhibition of cell proliferation and induction of oxidative DNA damage. Increasing the concentration of ZEN increased the extent of DNA damage. The extent of DNA migration, and percentage of cells with tails were significantly increased in a concentration-dependent manner following treatment with ZEN toxin (p < 0.05). Treatment with a low concentration of ZEN toxin (25 ${\mu}M$) induced a relatively low level of DNA damage, compared to treatment of cells with a high concentration of ZEN toxin (250 ${\mu}M$). Oxidative DNA damage appeared to be a key determinant of ZEN-induced toxicity in Chang liver cells. Significant reductions in cytolethality and oxidative DNA damage were observed when cells were pretreated with NACA prior to exposure to any concentration of ZEN. Our data suggest that ZEN induces DNA damage in Chang liver cells, and that the antioxidant activity of NACA may contribute to the reduction of ZEN-induced DNA damage and cytotoxicity via elimination of oxidative stress.

북송대 선종사원의 가람 구성 특징에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Building Composition of Zen Buddhist Temples in Northern Song Dynasty)

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify the characteristics of Zen Buddhist temple's building composition of the Northern Song dynasty, through the analysis of literature historical material, such as Seonwon chenggyu(禪苑淸規), Cham cheontae odaesan gi(參天台五臺山記) and so on. The building composition method of Zen Buddhist temple in Northern Song dynasty, which grasped from the Seonwon chenggyu, reflects the actual situation of the temples in that time. And it was ascertained that, the Zen Buddhist temple's building composition of the Northern Song dynasty was basically same to that of Southern Song dynasty. And the comparative analysis was attempted between Zen Buddhist temples and that of other Buddhism sect described in Cham cheontae odaesan gi. From this analysis, the common features as Buddhism temple and the characteristics of building composition as Zen Buddhist temple was clarified.

  • This article aims at bibliographical analysis of the and historical research of Buddhism in the period of king ChungYeul. The analysis is made in the respects of: 1) physical form 2) historical aspect of the Zen Buddhism in the latter period of Koryo Dynasty 3) related persons who corresponded with Mongsan First, this books is consist of 56 records about tripitaka, biography of Mongsan, poets of Zen Buddhism, and abstracts of Buddhist books. Secondly, the new trends of Buddhism in the 13th century was influenced by Mongsan Son(contemplate school, zen). He was corresponded with some political persons and the elite class of Koryo Buddhism. Because of these meetings, LimJae Son were adopted main stream of zen Buddism in Koryo Dynasty by Mongsan and his accompanies. Thirdly, these political groups want to meet Mongsan and his teaching about zen Buddism, but he suggest three questions to the gourp instead of meeting. And he explained 10 kinds of methods to study zen Buddism comparing visited ten persons with ten pinetrees. In the Koryo Dynasty, Buddism was very inportant in history of throughts and social functions. But there had been little research on Mongsan who afford theoretical base on zen Buddism in Chosun Dynasty. On the point of the relation to Koryo and Yuan dynasty in zen Buddism. The is a new and important records that afford some solutions of religious branch and trends in early periods of Chosun Dynasty.

현대 패션에 나타난 젠(zen:禪)양식에 관한 연구 (A Study on the ZEN(禪) style in Contemporary Fashion)

  • This study focuses on the Zen style in contemporary fashion which presents itself as one of the dominant cultural phenomena these days. After investigating the basic concepts and features of the Zen style and examining its birth and development, this study moves on to the ways in which it is characteristically applied for the world of fashion. This study is also performed both by the theoretical research on related books and papers for the explication of main concepts and by the practical research on fashion magazines and works of famous fashion designers for the presentation of more detailed illustration. When we are talking about postmodernism, which is a reaction against or a continuation of modernism, as a cultural dominant shown up in the late twentieth century, the Zen style itself can be regarded as a typical representation of postmodernism in fashion. Although the Zen style can be viewed as sharing the basic principles with minimalism which is a main branch of modernism, it is strongly in line with postmodernism (which is human-centered) in that its fundamental idea is based on emotions and feelings of human beings and the purity of natural world. As above, ZEN is a crossover phenomenon between postmodernism and modernism. In this sense, it is said that within the name of postmodernism the Zen style has satisfied our desire to present our inner world of mind with the help of regional philosophy (in this case Oriental one). The four main aspects of the Zen style in fashion are following : simplicity connected with the Oriental moderation, the use of the Oriental silhouette and detail, the destruction of form, and the nature-friendly attitude. These will be under close examination in this study.

곡류와 그 가공품에서 Deoxynivalenol과 Zearalenone의 분석 (Co-occurrence of Deoxynivalenol and Zearalenone in Cereals and their Products)

  • 전 세계 인구의 주식인 곡물에 주로 오염되는 Fusarium 곰팡이독소인 DON과 ZEN을 70개 시료(옥수수, 백미, 현미, 보리, 옥수수통조림, 시리얼, 밀가루)에서 HPLC를 이용하여 분석하였다. DON은 70개 시료 중 37개 시료에서 $7.4-379.4{\mu}g\;kg^{-1}$ 수준으로 검출되었고, ZEN은 17개 시료에서 $22.0-42.8{\mu}g\;kg^{-1}$ 수준으로 검출되었다. 검출된 시료중 12개 시료는 DON과 ZEN이 동시에 검출되었고 평균 오염농도는 $319.7{\mu}g\;kg^{-1}$$37.3{\mu}g\;kg^{-1}$이었다. 본 연구에서 곡물시료 중 DON및 ZEN의 오염수준은 높지 않았으나 곰팡이독소의 생성은 기후변화의 영향을 많이 받기 때문에 이를 반영한 오염도 자료가 향후 지속적으로 축적되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

바깥요도조임근을 지배하는 Onuf 핵에서 관찰된 Zinc 함유 신경종말: HRP 추적법 및 zinc selenium 조직화학법 (Zinc-enriched (ZEN) Terminals in Onuf's Nucleus Innervating External Urethral Sphincter: HRP Tracing Method and Zinc Selenium Autometallography)

  • Onuf 핵이란 척수 앞회색질뿔에 위치하는 운동핵으로 음부신경을 통해 방광과 항문괄약근을 조절하는 운동핵의 하나이다. Onuf핵은 앞회색질뿔내 다른 운동신경핵과는 달리 회색질척수염과 같은 병적인 상황에서도 상당기간 손상되지 않고 기능을 유지하며, 퇴행성변화의 정도가 미약한데 정확한 원인에 관해서는 논란의 여지가 많다. 본 연구는 흰쥐 척수회색질내 바깥요도조임근을 신경지배하는 Onuf핵의 위치를 HRP 추적법으로 확인하였으며, 이들 신경핵내 운동신경세포와 연접해 있는 zinc함유(ZEN)신경종말의 미세구조를 zinc selenium조직화학법(AMG)으로 염색하여 관찰하였다. HRP 추적법의 결과로는, Onuf핵은 랫드 척수회색질앞뿔의 내측에서 가지돌기의 무리와 거의 맞닿고 있었으며, 모양은 대개 구형 또는 난원형을 띠었다. 이들 신경핵내 운동신경세포의 세포체의 크기는 다른 운동핵의 신경세포보다 다소 작았다. 한편 AMG로 염색한 표본에서는 Onuf핵에 분포하는 ZEN신경종말은 다른 운동핵의 ZEN 신경종말과 비교하여 매우 높은 밀집도를 보였으나, 크기 면에서도 상대적으로 작았다. 미세구조 관찰로는 Onuf 핵내 ZEN신경종말은 운동핵의 세포체 및 가지돌기와 신경연접은 이루고 있었다. 이들 ZEN 신경종말은 주로 납작한 연접소포를 함유하였으며, 대칭적인 신경연접구조를 이루고 있었다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate the zen aesthetic tendencies of Japanese contemporary costume, especially designs of Rei Kawakubo and Issey Miyake. Zen is one of the Buddism, which is originated in India, and is the religion and philosophy for salvation. There are many resemblances between Zen and postmodernism. Zen has influenced on the 'non-ornamental' culture in japan, and attaches importance to poverty, moderation as the essentials of the son aesthetics, as it were WabiSabi aesthetics is connected with the art of Tea. In this paper, it was classified zen aesthetics with the beauty of non-dualism, the beauty of poverty, the beauty of purity, the beauty of emptiness and the beauty of deepness, and then applied aesthetic categoties to the costume designs of the Rei Kawakubo and Issey Miyake.
