  • The purpose of this paper is to identify woodblocks which were engraved in the providences in the mid Chosun dynasty, especially ones engraved under the auspices of Yu Heui-chun(柳希春), but not listed in $\boxDr$Kosachwalyo 攷事撮要$\boxUl$. This could be done by the analyzing $\boxDr$The Diary of Miam 眉巖日記$\boxUl$ written by Yu Heui-chun. It is a book which recorded daily life of eminent scholar and official covering political, social and cultural aspects, books and family matters. There were two categories of books published under the auspices of Yu Heui-chun. One is the books written by his grandfather in law, Choi Bu(崔溥), which were $\boxDr$Keumnamjip 錦南集$\boxUl$ collective works of Choi Bu, and $\boxDr$Pyohaerog 漂海錄$\boxUl$, essays on travelling across China. The other is the books for children, $\boxDr$Sinjeung Yuhap 新增類合$\boxUl$ for teaching characters and $\boxDr$Sog Mong-gu 續蒙求$\boxUl$ for moral education. These woodblocks have to enlisted in the woodblock catalogs. The analysis shows that most of these woodblocks by Yu Heui-chun were not recorded in either of two $\boxDr$Kosachwalyo 攷事撮要$\boxUl$ editions published in 1575 and 1585. In this respect, $\boxDr$The Diary of Miam$\boxUl$ proved itself to be of great significance in terms of bibliography studies.

  • This study investigates the role of accidental torsion in seismic reliability assessment. The analyzed structures are regular 6-story and 20-story steel office buildings. The eccentricity in a floor plan was simulated by shifting the mass from the centroid by 5% of the dimension normal to earthquake shaking. The eccentricity along building heights was replicated by Latin hypercube sampling. The fragilities for immediate occupancy and life safety were evaluated using 0.7% and 2.5% inter-story drift limits. Two limit-state probabilities and the corresponding earthquake intensities were compared. The effect of ignoring accidental torsion and the use of code accidental eccentricity were also assessed. The results show that accidental torsion may influence differently the structural reliability and limit-state PGAs. In terms of structural reliability, significant differences in the probability of failure are obtained depending on whether accidental torsion is considered or not. In terms of limit-state PGAs, accidental torsion does not have a significant effect. In detail, ignoring accidental torsion leads to underestimates in low-rise buildings and at small drift limits. On the other hand, the use of code accidental eccentricity gives conservative estimates, especially in high-rise buildings at small drift limits.

  • Degradation due to delamination occurs frequently in the high temperature superconductors (HTS) coil of rotating machines made with 2nd generation (2G) HTS wire, and the authors have observed other similar cases. Since an HTS field coil for a rotating machine is required to have stable current control and maintain a steady state, co-winding techniques for insulation material and epoxy resin for shape retention and heat transfer improvement are applied during coil fabrication. However, the most important limiting factor of this technique is delamination, which is known to be caused by the difference in thermal expansion between the epoxy resin and 2G HTS wire. Therefore, in this study, the experimental results of mixing the ratio of epoxy resin and alumina ($Al_2O3$) filler were applied to the fabrication of small and large test coils to solve the problem of degradation. For the verification of this scheme, eight prototypes of single pancake coils with different shapes were fabricated. They showed good results. The energization and operation maintenance tests of the stacked coils were carried out under liquid neon conditions similar to the operation temperature of an MW-class rotating machine. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the alumina powder mixed with epoxy resin in an appropriate ratio is an effective solution of de-lamination problem of 2G HTS coil.

  • I. Introduction Bi(痺) means blocking. It can reach at the joints or muscles or whole body and make pains. Numbness and movement disorders. BiJeung can be devided into SilBi and HeoBi. In SilBi there are PungHanSeupBi, YeolBi and WanBi. In HeoBi, there are GiHyeolHeoBi, EumHeoBi and YangHeoBi. The common principle for the treatment of BiJeung is devision of the chronic stage and the acute stage. In the acute stage, BiJeung is usually cured easily but in the chronic stage, it is difficult. In the terminal stage, BiJeung can reach at the internal organs. BiJeung is one kind of symptoms making muscles, bones and jonts feel pain, numbness or edema. For example it can be gout or SLE etc. Many famous doctors studied medical science by their fathers or teachers. So the history of medical science is long. So I studied ${\ll}Bijeungjujip{\gg}$. II. Final Decision 1. BanSuMun(斑秀文) thought that BiJeung can be cured by blocking of blood stream. So he insisted that the important thing to cure BiJeung is to improve the blood stream. He usually used DangGuiSaYeokTang(當歸四逆湯), DangGuiJakYakSanHapORyeongSan, DoHong-SaMulTang(桃紅四物湯), SaMyoSanHapHeuiDongTang and HwangGiGyeJiOMulTang. 2.
