A comparative study on cadmium(II) complexation with three well characterized humic acids (SHA: soil humic acid from the Okchun Metamorphic Belt; AqHA: aquatic humic acid from Gorleben underground aquifer, Germany; CoHA: commercially available humic acid from the Aldrich Co.) was carried out in 0.1 M $NaClO_4$ at different solution pH(5.0, 5.5, and 6.0) using the ultrafiltration technique. The maximum binding ability (MBA) of the humic acids for cadmium(II) was observed to vary with their origins and solution pH. The results suggest that 1 : 1 complex predominates within the experimental range, and the conditional stability constants were calculated based on the assumption of cooperative binding, yielding log K values that were quite similar (CoHA: 4.17${\pm}$0.08; AqHA: 4.14${\pm}$0.07; SHA: $4.06{\pm} 0.12\;l\;mol^{-1}$ at pH 6.0) irrespective of humic acid origins or pH. By contrast a nonlinear Schatchard plot was obtained, using the cadmium(II) ion selective electrode speciation analysis method, which indicated that humic acid may have two or more classes of binding sites, with $log\;K_1\;and\;log\;K_2$ of 4.73${\pm}$ 0.08 and $3.31{\pm}0.14\;l\;mol^{-1}$ respectively.

이 연구에서 구현한 질문응답시스템은 한글 자연어로 된 텍스트와 질문을 자동으로 처리하는 지능형 정보시스템이다. 입력데이타는 스포츠관계 기사로 국한하였으며 프로그래밍 언어로는 코볼을 사용하였다. 이 시스템의 구문분석기는 격문법에 기초한 것으로서 어휘사전, 용언의 격프레임, 언어학적 규칙 등을 사용하여 문장을 분석한다. 본문검색과 사실검색이 모두 가능한 이 시스템에서는 질문에 대한 해답이 문장형태이거나 사실데이타 형태로 출력된다.

This article examines the role of children in the modern era of globalization. The twentieth century sets the tone of viewing children as independent human beings, holding inherent and universal rights. Children are no longer viewed as immature beings in need of charity care, but rather ones with evolving capacities. Several important international movements are discussed : (1) The Convention on the Rights of the Child; (2) World Summit for Children; and (3) the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on Children. Trends in the current issues ranging over children as active citizens of the global world are provided, including poverty, violence, and climate change.

학제적 분야는 다양한 주제범주의 자료를 이용하는 특성이 존재하기 때문에 대학도서관이나 전문도서관에서는 학제적 분야에 대한 새로운 학술지 관리방안이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 SCIE 논문을 발표한 국내 연구자들의 인용패턴을 바탕으로 저널 인용분석과 학제성 분석을 실시하여 학제적 분야의 학술지 관리 방안을 도출하였다. 본 연구를 통해 인용률 기반의 학제성 분석이 기존의 인용빈도를 바탕으로 한 방법과 함께 학제적 분야의 학술지를 관리하는 데 있어 유용함을 확인하였다.

이 연구에서는 인터넷 자원을 통해 사회과학 분야의 학제성을 측정하고 그 특징을 알아보기 위해 세 가지 계량정보학적 분석을 수행하였다. 먼저 세계적인 사회과학 정보 게이트웨이인 SOSIG의 Grapevine 자료를 통해 사회과학 내 학문분야 간 학제성을 측정하였고, 관련 학자들의 홈페이지 동시링크와 미국 상위 관련 학과 홈페이지의 동시링크를 분석하였다. 그 결과 business, education, philosophy 등을 중심으로 어느 정도 학제성이 나타났으나, 심리학 등 사회과학의 몇몇 분야의 학제성은 예상 외로 높지 않은 것으로 나타났다.

This work was performed to investigate the effects of brazilin in vitro on mitrogen-induced proliferation, ConA-induced TCGF release and responsiveness to recombinant-induced proliferation, ConA-induced TCGF release and responsiveness to recombinant IL-2 using splenocytes from C57BL/6 female mice. Brazilin (29-80 ng/ml) caused a noticeable increase in TCGF production of splenocytes, but did not affect responsivness to recombinant IL-2, the expression of ConA-induced high affinity IL-2 receptor and mitogen-induced proliferation of splenocytes.

The antioxidant activity of roasted defatted perilla (Perilla frutescens) seed was determined by measuring its radical scavenging effect on 1,1-diphenyl-2- picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radicals, inhibitory activity on total reactive oxygen species generation in kidney homogenates using 2',7'-dichlorodihydro-fluorescein diacetate, and scavenging effect on authentic peroxynitrites. The methanolic extract of roasted defatted perilla seed showed strong scavenging activity in both DPPH and peroxynitrite radicals, and thus fractionated with several solvents. The antioxidant activity potential of the individual fraction was in the order of ethyl acetate>n-butanol>dichloromethane>water>n-hexane fraction. The ethyl acetate soluble fraction exhibiting strong antioxidant activity was further purified by repeated silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. Luteolin was isolated as one of the active principles from the ethyl acetate fraction, together with the inactive chrysoeriol and apigenin.

이 연구에서는 최근 검색성능을 향상시키기 위한 전략으로 사용되는 데이터 결합기법을 웹 문서 검색에 적용하고, 실험을 통해 문서표현 방법의 결합이 검색성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 문서 표현 방법으로는 내용기반 표현, 링크기반 표현,URL 등을 선정하고, 단일 표현 방법에 의한 검색결과와 표현방법의 결합을 통한 검색결과를 비교하였다. 분석결과 다른 문서표현 방법의 결합이 웹 문서의 검색성능을 향상시키지는 못하는 것으로 나타났다.
